I had a great time at the pool tonight. Last week I could only swim 800 meters (1/2 mile) in 30 minutes, and then all my muscles just gave out. But tonight I swam the full hour and swam just barely over 1600 meters. My best was 2000 meters in an hour, so I'm thrilled with the progress.

That's great! I wish I were more active when I'm not diving, but it looks like I'll be pretty sedentary for the next 4 weeks until I'm back in the water. It might be time to get back on the exercise bike. I definitely feel better when exercise is a part of my day.

For my own NSV yesterday, I pulled a pair of size 8 jeans out of my closet yesterday and was amazed when they actually fit comfortably! Before starting IP, I couldn't even zip them up (if I wanted to be able to breathe, anyway!).

That's an amazing change, Fishette! Congratulations!

Thanks! I still fill out the thighs more than I'd like, especially when they're fresh out of the dryer, but I'm on my way. It's encouraging to finally start seeing a discernible difference! One day at a time ....

The NSV's are huge be proud of yourselves. My pants are size 44 which is big. But it is 16" smaller than they were 154#'s ago. I ordered two new bathing suits today for our trip to St. Martin February 8th to the 15 th.

I can't believe I forgot to post this here - my kids started swimming lessons on Saturday, the littlest one is in a "with parent" class. So I had to get in the pool with him. Said a little prayer, and threw on a bathing suit that I've not worn in at least 7 years. Not only was I TOTALLY comfortable in the swimsuit (even walked around the pool without a towel around me and didn't even feel self conscious), but I darn near had a wardrobe malfunction because the suit was a bit TOO BIG! Guess it's time for some winter swimwear shopping!!!

I have two NSVs today.
1. I have a chair in my living room that was "cozy/tight" to sit in while studying / reading 3FC. In the last week while I nursing my cats, my cats have taken to sitting with me and I discovered there was now room beside me for them to lay down! Even better today, 1 of them decided to curl up beside me which means he was extra wide and he still fit. My cat is a large breed, 19lbs so that means there is a lot more room than there used to be.

2. During the holidays I wrote a story of my journey to becoming obese and the changes with IP. I sent it to my coach, she asked if she could share it and I said yes. She sent it with the weekly email to all her current and former participants. I suddenly had second thoughts, but now it was out there for everyone, with pictures so they would know who I was. Today my coach sent me a note to say thanks. After seeing my story, several of her past clients who quit early or gained in maintenance came back to her for a restart, inspired by my story. I had a tough day at work but this email turned everything around. I feel so privileged to play any part in other's path to success. And I am so fortunate to have a coach that sends me notes like this to make my day!

KitKat - those are great NSV's.
I just wanted to share that some how I have gone from size 24 dress slacks to size 20's. Didn't even realize they were 20's till I was already at work. YEAH for me!!! I felt good today!

The last 2 days (first 2 days back at work since 12/17) I wore pants that didnt fit before the holidays and my FL vacation. Today I added a blouse that was too tight in Dec.

I might not get to weigh yet but I'm still shrinking! (Oops! Forgot pics, sorry!)

Finally fit back into my size 13/14 jeans which is good because I have lots of those to wear. Then I have one pair of size 11/12 skinny jeans to get back into. After that, I will have to go shopping for smaller pants.

The extra room is awesome. Today I heard Bob Marley a comedian on the radio. Last time I went to his show locally, it was very painful sitting in the seats in the Opera House built in the 1800's because they were so narrow. I had a private NSV in my mind as I thought to myself I am going next time he is in town and I'm gonna fit in the seats just fine now!

I love Bob Marley!! I even created a Pandora station around him. There is something about that accent that makes everything funnier...
