Hi I think it was me you may be referring to - I started a thread "do you think my coach is crazy" or something like that. My coach also suggested to go off plan for a couple days or do the 3 restrictives - I didn't try either. But I do know when I increased my protein size it made a difference. Let us know what you do and how it works

I think they suggest that a lot, might be as "ok we've tried everything now lets try this"...so I don't think it was you. Cause from what I remember it was the first time I saw that type of post and it was probably 2 months into it (it freaked me out actually). :) So I hope you didn't think I was pointing you out or anything. :)

Busymom - very INTERESTING that she has someone doing that, I don't think I would do the 'normal'....but if I was desperate and tried the others I'd do the three restricted. But you're right, I haven't stalled and I've confirmed that it's not ME that's causing the slow down. I'm actually doing better mentally this week after re-confirming it wasn't me. I can accept that I'm slowing down....:)

I have to be in the HAHAHAHAHA group with you. My big goal will be to go and buy new bras, I really just can't wait. The first time I was able to hook up on notch smaller was a great big NSV for me. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I bought two new bras yesterday. The girls are much happier now. ;) My band size went way down. Glad I got measured.

Ok, so before anyone gets excited (I freaked out months ago when I saw that a coach recommended this to a dieter (who posted on here))....this recommendation came from my coach's coach who has years of experience with IP and has done all the training that has been offered to her. So she has experience with jump starting someone's metabolism who has lost a lot of weight.

This is what she said:

There are 4 or 5 ways to do it. First, pull the restricted (bootcamp) for a week or two....second is to change lunch and dinners for at least 3 days, then alternate the switch every other day for a week. Fourth thing is to pull yourself off the program for 2 days and eat normally. And the fifth way which one of our clinics finds success with, is to have your eat only restricted (3 per day) for a couple of days.

I think I will give my daughter this information. She is VERY frustrated at trying to loose the last 6 pounds. The scale is just not moving for her. She even went to phase 2 for a couple of days, but the scale moved up 1 1/2 pounds instead of down. So now she is back to phase one and is just going to hang in there.

Can I join the 100%? I just finished week 2 and I'm down 15.2 lbs!!!! I love this plan and plan to stick with it 100% until goal. I'm going to NYC with my husband next weekend and need the support and encouragement that I CAN stick to my plan even when on a weekend away!!!

Why would I want to stick to the plan?
1. It gives me more energy!
2. My jeans fit again.
3. I wake up in the morning ready for the day, instead of groggy and cranky.
4. I can comfortably put on my socks and tie my shoes!
5. I LOVE my morning cappacino and coffee drink!
6. By summer, I plan to be able to run, bike, hike, and play with my 4 kids! (Not to mention, wear a swimsuit without shame!)
7. I LOVE my veggies now!
8. I eat because I'm hungry. I enjoy every bite (now that I know which foods I like!)
9. I am not a slave to eating crap anymore!
10. I no longer need a diet coke to get through my work day!

The list could go on, but this is a start. 100% is the way to go!

Trish

You're slowing down cause you almost have nothing left to lose :)

Good Morning! Well, I've been chugging along with an average of 3+ pounds off a week, and now I think I'll screech to a crawl or stop for the next 10 days.

I suffer from chronic sinusitis infections partly due to inflammation and polyps in my sinus cavity over my eyes. I start to lose my sense of smell when it gets inflamed/irritated. Doctors are trying to figure out why. It's really frustrating. I've had 2 sinus surgeries in the past few years, they helped for a bit, but not long term.

Last week I knew it was starting again. I've had NO sense of smell for a month and my taste was starting to deaden. I was trying to put off another round of meds homeopathically, which I think helped for a while, but the sinus infection returned, BAD! As of yesterday, I'm on 40 mg of Prednisone for 10 DAYS to help reduce swelling. If you don't know, Prednisone is a cursed blessing. Works great, horrible side effects. Increases hunger, water retention, stomach irritation... I started Tuesday, had my WI on Wednesday, I was OP110% and lost 1.4 lbs. My coach/doctor, who coincidentally just finished a 5 day round of prednisone, gained 5 lbs!! Hes confident it was all water, but you feel so bloated. He was understanding, and just said expect weight loss to slow down the next ten days.

I know it's temporary, but it's going to be tough. For the first time in weeks, I was really hungry. Going to have to really be stringent the next 8days and not have any positive result on the scale! . Hopefully I'll be smelling soon!

Thanks for letting me express myself! You guys are the best group!

Pam

First weigh-in today! -7.8lbs! Thank you ladies & a few gents for the encouragement to hang in 110% OP when the going got rough :-D

I should add that I guess I was actually only 95% OP because I didn't know about the no sugarfree gum w/ aspartame rule. Live & learn.

This really pertains to your coach, Mine allows it and I have had it since day one with success :)

5 more lbs gone...with TOM!

WI#5 today. I lost 5 lbs this week for a total of 31 lbs lost! Gotta love IP!

My coach assured me today that it is quite possible to reach my goal and get to maintenance by September - just in time for my sister's wedding. That would be soooooo perfect! Wish me luck and willpower.

Stay strong and OP!

I really don't like any of the soups I have tried so far. the chicken soup, the cream of chicken soup and the tomato basil are all pretty ugly on my taste buds. I have garbage disposaled all three of them. I may have to try just sing the ones I have left as sauces, but, a bowl of soup sounded so good tonight. Oh, well.

The soups really improve with spices and blended veggies.
The cream of mushroom is very good...
Keep trying!

Jell-o

Good Morning Everyone! It never dawned on me that jello could be a part of Phase 1 but my husband has been eating it a lot lately (he's doing the Dukan diet) and I noticed that it's zero carbs, sugar and fat. So, according to our Phase 1 handout - it would be allowed, right? I'm not crazy about jello anyway, but I was just curious if anyone here has tried it as a 'treat' or as a regular part of their Phase 1?

Thanks!

Just checking in-haven't been on computer much. It's so nice out. If we get 6 more weeks of winter like this, I'll take it :) Happy Friday :)

All the Jello in stores has aspartame in it, so it's a no go for IP. If you want a Jello fix though try the IP Raspberry Jelly. It's my favorite snack!
