Good morning, Looks like I am going to make a trip back home this weekend. Had a death in the family so I will be going to Lafayette for the weekend then taking my mom and other aunt (her sister) to New Orleans for my Aunt's funeral. She is the one a few of you know about that had the brain cancer, she passed away yesterday. I have to go get an outfit, cuz I have NOTHING to wear. When I called mom this morning she said don't go shopping, we can go shopping in my closet first, then if we can't find anything we can go shopping. It was time for me to make a trip home anyways I haven't been home since Christmas!....I'll come back on Tuesday, OH WAIT!!.....my Birthday is thursday....hmmm....maybe I'll stay....haha....nope gotta come back cuz my WI is on Wed!....hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Travel safe.

Diet soda?

Okay question for you all........ I have seen some people drinking diet coke or diet sprite is this IP OP???

What do your coaches say about soda!? I thought it was a :nono:

Diet soda is a no no.

WI #4= -2
I like the weeks I lose 6 better! But, I'll take it. 17 pounds in one month.

Hey Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the replies to my 'strange' adventure this past week.

nikkib - was told that the manufacturer's of QUEST vitamins are the same ones that make IP. Cannot find (but haven't looked hard enough) for the cal-mag and potassium. I have taken the jars down to the health food store and said "can you find something like this??". I think Sandralosingweight posted the supplement sheets on the daily but I'm sure you've already seen that.

100poundfreeway - diet soda - can't have...I stopped comparing what I was doing to others...(easier said then done!)....this is a diet that we have to make the choices on. So I don't have diet soda cause I was told 'no'. :)

Just to reiterate, yeah diet soda is a no-no.
Now that I am in maintenance I do drink diet mountain dew once in awhile but I am still staying away from the real stuff.
It's just not worth all the carbs and sugar in those things, and I used to drink like 5 a day that's the scary thing.

Stay positive everyone, and stay OP!!!

WI #6 this morning -2lbs woohoo!! had my first encounter with the big C this past week... really messes you up hey. Hopefully that has passed. Actually had to go out and buy new scrub pants from work... size Large! I am floored, can't believe i fit into large already. i felt really self conscious wearing them to work because more people noticed my weight loss, guess i was hiding it in my XL's. Feels great but I don't like the attention lol

sandralosingweight 02-10-2012 03:58 PM

Oh! I was wondering how come I don't ''see'' as much of Wuv lately and I just learnt about your aunt! So sorry to hear that Lisa, may she rest in peace.

I don't know about all the diet sodas, but many are sweetened with aspartame.
Aspartame activates the pancreas and insulin production. As I understand it, that is the last thing I want happening! So no diet sodas here as I most certainly want to avoid aspartame.

I agree. I thought it was just me. It was getting exhausting reading all the negative posts and thoughts of "how do I cheat and have it not count". Ummmmm you can't. That's how we all got here in the firast place, right? The word that keeps popping in my mind is INTEGRITY. Yes, no one is perfect, but you have to TRY to live with integrity and the intent to do the right thing, whether that be for yourself, or for others.

Ok, off the soapbox.... Enjoy your day! :)

WELL SAID!

exercise!

I started exercising this week-and LOVING it! I bought Jillian michaels for beginners-whew-good workout-after I did those 50 mins 4 days in a row I was so motivated I bought the new bob's conture kettlebell...anyone else tried a kettlebell-my legs sure felt like jelly after my workout tonight! Hope I can move tomorrow-I have too much to do-almost done with our bathroom remodel!

I'm excited to see my WI on monday-more because I want to see my muscle% go up and my fat go down-than I care about the pounds-atleast this week!

blood donation?

Anybody given blood while on IP??? I usually do the double red blood cell donation-so when they called and said it's time again I signed up. My coach is good with it-as long as I bring my own snack to eat after. Just a little worried about how I will feel after...I'm usually just fine-I don't want to have to eat off plan because of problems...
