My name is Katya and I am originally from Russia. I never was skinny, but after I had my baby girl I gain over 80lb. Since I realized that I am not skinny girl I was fighting with my weight. Every diet I had ever been on lasted the most two weeks. However it is my 3 week on IP and already lost 14lb and it is not hard to follow this diet. I look forward to loose all this extra weight and to be able to fit in the clothe I always wanted. On this site so many people share their stories and photos and it is very expiring.

Welcome Katya, 14lbs in 3 weeks is great, you are headed in the right direction and I see success in your future :)

My name is Cara and I am currently on day 4. So far so good for me no real issues although I would like to eat the food I am feeding my 2 yo! I have 3 kids....12.10 and 2. My 2 year old has a rare syndrome and special needs.

I have a few neighbors that did IP andbtheylook fantastic.....they only had about 30-20 lbs to lose and they did it quickly. I was intimadated my the program at first but figured what the heck....I can do this!! I hope to lose about 70 lbs! Yikes that is a lot. My coach put down 50 lbs and said we can decide what to do when I get there. Looking forward to my first weigh in on Saturday!

Hello to all, I have been posting since mid-january but for some reason have never read this thread. My name is Ella and I am 48 years old and live in a very remote town in Idaho. I never had a problem with weight until I was 30 and it has been a battle ever since. When I moved to Idaho I broke the 200 mark and have steadily climbed ever since. I felt like I could not eveer get the weight off and lost all hope. Then I tried the HCG diet (injecting myself with a hormone every day) and it did work, I lost 50 lbs and then gained it back. I did it again and lost 40 lbs and gained it back. This last time I gained it back I really began to feel bad. My joints hurt, I had no energy and I started to think I was sick. Anyway, my sister dragged me to a meeting about IP in january and I said very nonchalantly, why not. Within 2 weeks I felt great. No more joint pain, and I have energy that I have not had in awhile.
So now I am on week 5, have lost 21 pounds and feel good. Wow, what an improvement!
I think this site has been very helpful. Hearing the stories from women who sound like me and have as much to loose inspire me. This is possible.
Now I am looking forward to working in my garden and hiking this summer.

Hi Salmon Girl, I started IP on 2/22, lost 8.6 lbs. the first week, the thing I notice is I have more energy, I think it is due to the reduction in sugar and carbs. Good luck to you!

Howdy Everyone! My name is Liz - I just started IP this week (Tue, 2/28/2012). I am 5'6" and my starting weight is 214 with a goal of 145. I have a 19-month old son and suffered pregnancy-related back injuries (spondylolisthesis/vertebrae misalignment->3 bulging disks->2 aggravated leg nerves) which has severly limited my exercise routine and had a domino effect on my eating habits.

I found myself slowly gaining weight each month until I reached the weight I was at when I delivered my son. I had a checkup with my doctor last week and she suggested IP and only 4 days in I can already tell a difference!

I am excited to continue, since the main reason I started was to get to a healthy weight before we start trying for baby #2! And also with my new back problems it is imperitive to lose weight, which is the best method for pain management.

I found this forum googling for IP information, and this is by far the most informative and supportive site. A great addition to the weekly 15-minute meetings with my coach!

Hi All! My name is Chriss and I live in the beautiful PNW, outside of Seattle. This is my 2nd try with IP - I lost 17 lbs the first time but gained it all back when my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized. I would like to lose 50 lbs and am on day 12 this time around.

I just found this website today and can't wait to read the threads for tips. In particular, I am struggling (both this time and last) with a rather depressing sense of apathy which starts around day 5 of the diet. It never went away the first time until I was totally off the plan. I have no interest in anything. I've quit crafting, watching tv, and reading. I generally surf the web without ever actually doing anything. This post is probably the most productive thing I've done all weekend. :)

Is anyone else in the same boat?

fratmom 03-12-2012 11:18 AM

Hi,

My name is Cindy (aka Fratmom). I live in New York with a house full of rowdy boys. I was always thin until my last pregnancy in my late 30's and then the weight just wouldn't come off. I am now 47 and feel totally out of control with food.

I started IP on 3/4/12. My first weigh in was yesterday and I am down 7.5lbs.
This diet gives me hope because I feel like I am not having to spend my day obsessing about food.

Ng951 03-12-2012 11:50 AM

Fratmom great job!! Look up some of the recipes they have on this web site. It really made a difference for me. I really love the crepes I make them into pita bread. They also have great ideas for the shakes.

Hi all,

I'm Shannon, 38, and I live in Whitby, Ontario. My husband and I both started IP on March 1 and are having great success so far - 14lbs in week one for me and 10 for him. :) Yay!

Second weigh in is tomorrow and I'm very interested to see where we stand.

My biggest challenge at the present moment is figuring out how to manage my insulin (am type 2) as it's constantly forcing me to go hypoglycemic. I've dropped my insulin from 35 to 17 over the past week and still need to take it down more. Which is great! But the bumps along the road are a challenge. Seems there's not much info around about how to safely reduce insulin! :)

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME.....it always makes me so happy to see new faces around here joining our family. Together we will all get through this and to our goals!....Remember take it one day, one meal, one pound and one inch at a time. It takes dedication and commitment to this program to achieve the success of it :)

Guess I should finally say hello :-)

My name is Laura and I am on day 4 of IP. I've been lurking on the board for about 2 weeks now (while deciding if I could do it) and am thrilled with the results so far. I'm having a hard time with much of the "fake" taste of the foods, but I hope I can make it work for me with the right combination (and some of the yummy tips posted here).

I live outside of Atlanta, GA and I have 2 boys - 7 and 9. We are involved in Cub Scouts and always seem to be running somewhere.

I have about 80 pounds to lose....
