Hello & Happy Sunday all!
Well after catching up on 13 pages worth of posts as I've not had a chance to get on here all weekend there is much to say...
Congrats to Cat on your son's compliment (better late than never)!! And on almost being in Onederland!
To Wuv who is surely rockin her new bathing suit- it's great to go down in sizes- after every weigh in I go to the store just to try things on cause it positively reinforces what the scale is saying!
SoccerMom get your hands on some restricteds! They make a world of difference when you're feeling woozy..
Itsabouttime- Congrats to your little one- that's awesome!- you must be such a proud mama!
I've had a lot of success on this plan and it has provided me with many things
1) A new figure that I love (yay!)
2) Increased self esteem
3) The ability to say 'No'
4) Cognizance of what I am putting into my mouth (rather than mindlessly eating)
5) Improved planning & organizational skills
6) FREEDOM- from carb addiction, from guilt, from self demoralizing thought processes
To all of the newbies who are struggling or suffering and wondering how you are going to make it another day, another week, another month, another three months or five months...
Take it one day at a time and challenge yourself each new day. Today will be the day I... look up a new recipe and make it... try a vegetable I've never tried before... try a spice I've never heard of... make plans with friends to go for a walk or to the park in place of going to a restaurant...
Prepare your food in advance: Cut up bell peppers 3 or 6 at a time and preportion them into ziploc baggies in 2 cup portions. They are sweet, crunchy and delicious and they travel well. Marinate meats in large amounts- then just pull out however much you want to use for your meal as they can stay marinated for up to four days- the longer they marinate the better they taste
Rome was not built in a day- your new body won't be either- everytime you say no to a temptation you put a building block into your new body and your ability to maintain it. Learning how to say 'no'- to others and most importantly to yourself is crucial!
Being in ketosis makes it much easier as you're not nearly as tempted- take advantage of it!
Tomorrow is (hopefully) the beginning of phase 3 as I finish up on phase 2... here's hoping all goes well at WI tomorrow...
