Hi, Pita,

I just tried to delete my message to you because when I clicked on it, it wasn't what I expected. Yes, there is one. Jordanna put it on, and I'm still trying to find it.

Found it! It was on page 3: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/atta...al-protein.pdf

So today I found out that I will be having major surgery on August 12th. ARGGG, I have a nerve disorder called RSD in my arm and as a result I have an implanted electronic device. There is a battery that sits in my chest with wires that wrap around my neck directly to my spine. This overrides the pain sensation and allows me to function almost normally (still lots of things I cannot and should not do). I have had this device in for almost 8 years. I have had it totally replaced once in that time frame. I am supposed to have the battery replaced every 3-5 years but a few weeks ago it started shocking me. I did some reprograming of it and got it somewhat under control. Went to the doc and they said they would get back to me.
WELL....They want to replace the entire unit and move the battery from the chest to the back of the hip.
I am thankfull that I have this unit implanted as I refuse to take pain meds and it allows me to do most of the things I love. I am frustrated because I have so much going on right now and I refuse to be laid out for surgery. Most days I can go about my business and people would never know that there was something wrong with me. I refuse to let it rule my life. I guess I am just whining becuase i really DONT have time for this. BUT... I guess I don't have time not to either.
Not sure what this means for my weight loss at the moment but I am gonna keep on truckin. I am hoping for a speedy recovery since the last time it laid me out for almost 2 weeks.
Thanks for listening.

Here is a question for you ELIZABETH:

So I have noticed that I get very bad toe cramps after my hard work out with mr killer trainer. I don't get these when i go for walks, however uphill or hard they might be. For example, yesterday after I got home from his session I seriously had to sit there and grab my toes for at least 30 mins so that the cramps would let go.

I stay very very hydrated and an hour before it I took half of the potasium pill and after it I took another half. Also, within 20 mins of him being done killing me I had my protein shake with glucasamine.

what gives?

thanks.

o.k

they are asics something or other...I don't remember but can look it up once home. They are a little bit too big for me, I might try the extra inserts they gave me next time and see.

wow! that's overwhelming for someone who's never heard such a thing before! you're obviously a powerful woman, you'll get thru this just fine is the doc getting back to you in regards to when you'll go in? maybe being on this diet for x-amount of time will help you recover quicker than previous since there's been reports from people about all kinds of medical miracles
here's to a speedy recovery

The reason I ask is I recall that before I did go through the same issue and it was the shoes... I do have flat feet so the lack of arch support will do that to me... I find that for me personally it has to be cross trainers and also make sure they are not too old. They say you need to change sneakers ever 6 months so.... maybe that?

On the other question you had, the only thing I see on the Ideal to go page is this

The 4 Stages
The Ideal Protein Plan allows you to lose weight with minimal effort compared to most other diets that require buying all sorts of different foods and ingredients and following complicated recipes. With the convenience of Ideal Protein instant packets, you have the option of keeping it very simple… or you may get creative if you like. Recipes are available.

* Stage 1: You start out using a packet as the basis of 3 of your 4 meals each day-you follow this until you have reached 70-80% of your weight loss goal.
* Stage 2: You reduce the Ideal foods to 2 per day and continue the Ideal plan until you've reached 100% of your goal.
* Stage 3: For weight loss stabilization, you will re-introduce moderate amounts of fats and carbohydrates to your diet for 14 days. You only have 1 Ideal packet per day with 2 other regular meals.
* Stage 4: You continue to eat the way you have by this time learned to eat by choosing healthy foods and the right combination of foods.

Wow, maybe your body is doing some "healing" already and it is rejecting the machine? I just am one that feels our bodies are capable of healing everything given the right conditions.

Best of luck with that. I can only imagine what it must be like...yikes!

Hugs to you!

I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts. I have been on IP for 4 weeks and on track so far.

Knowing that there are others that have problems with the big D is good to know and that there are some possibilities as to why it's happening.

As for the others who are frustrated with not losing any inches of their DDs, I'm with you there! Boyfriend is happy that they are not changing, but it's frustrating for me. lol.

Default Introducing myself

Hi All- I just found this site and am thrilled for the cyber support! I started the IP diet last friday July 9th and my first weigh in is this friday! I have about 90 pounds to lose and I usually drop inches faster than pounds.

Many people have had great success on this plan and I desire to be one of them!

thanks for letting me join your group..

Ok- thanks. I was going to ask where I can find them at. Do you think it'll be safe in Phase 1? I'm in the week 4 rut of getting board. I figured pancakes could mix it up a bit. I need a little variety in life.
