Hehehe, I'll ignore Gary, it is to easy to pick on him.
Thanks for the welcome back Operator and Julia
AS for the skinny button, I am still looking for it, on my new camera and photo programs. When you find it tell me what it looks like and where to find it, would ya.
Hello, Everyone! It is a very nice day here with and a nice quiet breeze and NO SCHOOL!!!!!
DS2 turns 17 on Monday, so I must figure out what to get him, plus he wants a DQ ice cream cake, which is good, since I can't eat ice cream-I won't be tempted
Hope you are all having a great day and have a really nice weekend
I live in Silicon Valley and we are suffering the economic woes of the rest of the country. I see the newspaper is still full of want ads, I haven't gone looking for a job recently. Here we have some big electronic companies, Apple, Hewlett Packard, Yahoo, Google. E Bay just to mention a few familiar names. If I were interested in coming here I would get a resume ready. I must warn you.. housing in California is expensive. If you are not interested in Northern California, there is lots of variety in California.. ocean, mountains, desert, large cities as well as very small ones. Agriculture is big, too. Come for a visit, Silicon Valley is in Santa Clara County, San Jose the 10th largest city in the country. South of San Francisco, not as well known as San Francisco but larger and warmer, too. San Francisco is cold.
Cold. Did you say COLD? That's a WY flag there, baby! (Oops, changed my avatar last night.) That's my haul truck there, baby. (Not really, bas*ards took my 265 away just before I left)
Nevermind, I'll just have to go freeze my butt off in San Fransisco.
San Francisco cold is relative and nothing compared to Wyoming, but I can remember some freezing night at Candlestick. It is a fun town though. I did enjoy living in the Silicon Valley (used to live practically around the corner from Saratoga, Bargoo, in Campbell, and I used to go to West Valley JC) but it was getting expensive even back then and it became ridiculous later.
California is a great place to live though, there is so much natural beauty to be found.
dutchgirl, how long ago did you live in Silicon Valley ? Sounds like very near to me .
Operator, I was born and raised in Minnesota, I know cold. San Francisco is cold, But you have many choices as to where you want to live, we also have desert . The coast is cool and the farther inland you go the warmer it is.
I'm just giving you a hard time. After all, if I don't give you crap it's means I don't like you. I do have CA on my list of possibilities once I get my an Associate's. I just can't tolerate the idea of "out of state" tuition.

Keep your options open. I am not a native of Califonia but I don't expect to live anyplace else.
