mars, I just use a julienne peeler. I don't use a fancy spiralizer. The julienne peeler works just fine and can be purchased at any kitchen supply store or even a grocery store I would guess.

Psychic...oh goodness I LOVE Salad Supreme seasoning! My mom makes her pasta salad with it, so I had some on hand and started putting it in everything...(only problem is I think it's loaded with Parmesan cheese lol). It's great on chicken, too. I'll have to try it in my zoodles. I wish I had planted zucchini this year but I was intimidated about trying to grow it in containers. Oh well, maybe next year!

---

Today for lunch I had a piece of sausage pizza and a piece of pepperoni pizza, about 3 inches of a chicken cheesesteak, and a small side salad. I have a smoothie in my lunch box but they ordered lunch at our staff meeting. Guess I'll throw it in the freezer and have it Friday?

Pattience, I think it is mostly the cheeses. Funny how that is the same thing I have to google with Munchy! I know what barramundi is I guess you guys are just much more adventurous cheese eaters than I am. I'm pretty boring and mostly eat sharp cheddars.

No lunch today - fast day.

Haha, I love my cheese! If you like sharp cheddar, try kerrygold dubliner. It's a hard cheese and you can use a small amount for a lot of flavor - just like manchego!

For lunch today I'm going to have the spaghetti squash with spinach artichoke sauce. The sauce froze well (and is delicious!) but the spaghetti squash was very watery. I'm still going to eat it - it wasn't awful - but I won't freeze it again. I should have gone with my gut instead of googling to see if others were successful with it.

OMG munchy that is my absolute favorite cheese. I can't buy it or my boyfriend and I will eat the whole block in a day! I try to save it for a St. Patty's Day treat.

Have you ever tried freezing zoodles? I julienned a zucchini the other day because I thought I was going to eat it, but won't be able to eat it before I go away this weekend and was thinking of freezing it. Hm.

That cheese is my favorite too! Sometimes I find it at Aldi for like $3. I have to be so careful with it

I wouldn't freeze zoodles. I think the high water content was why my spaghetti squash came out so bad. You can always mix it with some broth, onion, and garlic and puree - add a spoonful of sour cream at the end to make a great and simple zucchini soup that freezes great.

nonameslob - I don't think the original salad supreme has cheese in it, but I may be wrong. You should try it on zucchini. Its great.

Pattience - I struggle keeping plants alive, but my parents have a huge garden. This year, we grew 3 types of tomatoes, 3 types of peppers, spring mix lettuce, sugar snap peas, carrots, radishes, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash. We actually grew the lettuce and radishes in pots this year because we usually grow too much. We also have a small potted herb garden with chives, cilantro, basil, thyme and rosemary. I wish we could grow mangoes and avocados here, but its a bit too cold.

Munchy - Dubliner is my favorite cheese too. I find it at Aldis sometimes as well. Our Sam's Club sells it... But I can be dangerous with a block that big. Lol. I love trying new cheeses. The only ones I'm not a fan of are poor-quality blue cheese and Gorgonzola. I don't like the flavor of some goat cheese either.

Lunch Today:
Lean Pocket - Garlic Chicken White Pizza
Bacon Jerky (my new love)

I was wrong about the Parmesan...but the first ingredient is in fact Romano.

Munchy, I ended up eating the zoodles last night, but I will remember the soup recommendation for next time. I have been meaning to make this lovely roasted garlic and zucchini soup anyway!

great big salad from my favorite store, Good Earth in Fairfax, CA. Chopped romaine, baby arugula, julienned carrots, shredded red cabbage, red onion. Their produce is so incredibly fresh. I splurge and use the salad bar and it still tastes fresh after 4 days. I added HB egg, 3 oz avocado, 3 oz Hodo tofu, Braggs yeast powder. Calories adding up so skipped the evoo and used WF italina vinaigrette.

mars-sounds like my kind of salad

My fiance's parents came to visit him while I'm with him this weekend and they took us out to lunch at a thai place I really like. I split the salad with peanut sauce and had half an order of broccoli and tofu with garlic sauce. Very good. I was a -3 and ended +3. Also had a Starbucks spiced root beer which was the ONE thing I craved while on my trip, so although it wasn't "needed" I don't regret it!
