Hmm. I know this is a place to post our lunches, but I changed my eating schedule around and am finding myself without my usual smoothie for lunch today. I need some ideas of something yummy and wholesome to get at the grocery store during my break.
Not a huge fan of those frozen meals because they usually leave me feeling hungry still.
A steam-able frozen veggie and pouch or canned tuna/salmon/chicken?
Microwave brown rice pack and protein above? I used to buy the premade goya sauced beans in the can back about 10 years - that would be perfect with the rice.
Great ideas munchy. I'll have to save them for next time. I left work early today and took sick time since I've been very lightheaded and weak since monday. So I summoned up enough energy to make a nice hearty lunch and I am going to chill out the rest of the day. Hopefully I start feeling better soon!
Sauteed a half breast of chicken and 4 shrimp with zucchini, onion, tomato, and spinach. Tossed it with a small amount of soba noodles and feta cheese.
Mom surprised me by taking me out for lunch. I got gluten free vegan pizza with tons of veggies and ate it all I didn't really have breakfast though and have a small dinner planned so I should still end within my calorie range
I really like the hunger/satiety idea pattience! Also really like the snack thread you started I'm going to start rating hunger/satiety levels and adding to that thread tomorrow.
Yesterday I had a salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, a sprinkle of feta cheese and balsamic dressing. Also had two buffalo flavored chicken fingers from the grocery store.
I had a smoothie. My mom suggested trying pear in my smoothies because she said it makes it really creamy, but I don't think I'm a big fan or it just wasn't fully ripe...not the best tasting, but I am STUFFED!
I had pear, blueberries, banana, spinach, carrot and greek yogurt. I had to add some honey because it wasn't sweet at all.
Strawberries should be ripe locally at the end of the month. Mmm I can't wait to use them in my smoothies! Though I'd probably prefer to eat them raw
