Hi Everyone!

Check-In: 40 minutes of cardio from Madeline Lewis Get Moving Walking for Weight Loss

I programmed the DVD for 40 minutes of cardio instead of 30 cardio and then cool down. I also followed the higher impact modifier. I wanted to do a longer workout but I had problems with the first DVD I tried and lost time messing with that.

Waving Hi all around!

Waving Hi all around!
Diana, I didn't know about this exercise thread! I just subscribed to it, and plan on using this thread as well to keep myself accountable daily! Does everyone on the weight loss support thread know about this exercise one? I found it by clicking on the video thread to see what everyone was doing. Love this!

Steelslady Hi and welcome to the check-in. Glad you found us! I'm not sure if they know about this one. I know I was totally overwhelmed when I first came to 3FC's and I didn't understand about all the sections. There are so many areas to explore.

Hi ciecie! Thanks for the warm welcome! Glad you got your fitness goal in today.

Diana, I know what you mean about the board being confusing. There's so many boards, along with the sub boards, I still get confused sometimes.

Today, we walked the track at the high school. I brought my pedometer with me so that I could reset it so when I do walking around my neighborhood, I'll have a good idea as to how far I go. I am going to put a piece of paper and tape it on the pedometer the step measurement. Whenever the battery dies, so does all the information, and I always forget how many inches each step is. You'd think I would learn after five years of having it, to record it somewhere, lol. By the time I get home, I just forget to do it.

We walked 1 and 3/4 of a mile. I told hubby to let's finish the second mile, but because we were going swimming tonight, he figured we'd better get home and cook dinner for them. I ate mine after swimming, and boy was I hungry tonight, lol!

So today's exercises:

1 and 3/4 of a mile walking
water aerobics/beachball volleyball with hubby, daughter, and her best friend- one hour

Gorgeous day for walking today- love it!

Have a great day, everyone! Will be back to report tomorrow!

Good evening, everyone!

Yesterday, my allergies were killing me, plus it was raining out. So, the other day, I was in the garage, when I found my badminton set. We called my son and asked him to pick up some birdies on the way home. Well, during the intermission of the Stanley Cup playoffs, I break out the rackets and tell my son, "let's go!" in the living room. Of course, the birdies went everywhere, because the ceiling wasn't high enough, so he breaks out this bucket of foam golf balls he uses to play hockey with. Well, let me tell you, I haven't laughed so hard like I did the other night, playing this. The balls are so light, that even if one hit you, you don't feel it.

So, yesterday, I had my daughter play with me in the living room for 20 minutes, then we were starving and ate our breakfast. Then I bounced the ball against the sliding glass door for a few minutes, it was like playing racqetball again- I had a blast! Then my stinking allergies hit me hard, so I rested the rest of the day. Did some light housework and made dinner.

Today, my son decided that we were going to meet his sister after she was done with her classes at college and go to Planet Fitness first, and then swimming! Poor girl thought she was just going to PF and then coming home, little did she know, her brother had other plans. Thank goodness I had the corned beef and potatoes already cooked for the corned beef hash we were having tonight with eggs, as I barely got it made before we had to leave. We had a blast!

today, I did the treadmill for a mile and a half, and did a bunch of arm machines. Since my wrist injury back in October (I had surgery in middle of March, pain was too much), I haven't been able to work my arms out, so I tested my wrist to see how it would fare. Did great, but didn't push it past 20 pounds on each machine. I figured I'd better build up slowly. It felt great, though, to be back at Planet Fitness again. I missed it so much!

At the pool, we didn't get to play our normal beachball volleyball game, as there was too many people in the pool today. We did, however, do a lot of water exercises for over 45 minutes. My dear son decided we were done, because he was starving, and dying for the corned beef hash I made earlier. then he got my poor daughter hungry, so off we went, and here I am.

I was getting tired after I ate my "lunch" of corned beef, but suddenly now, I am starting to get energetic again. We shall see if I do anything else tonight- I might just pedal gently on the recumbent bike while watching hockey games tonight.

Have a great night, all, and see you tomorrow, I hope! If not, I will update when I can.
