Ready to work for it
Hello - I am new to the forum - I've never posted on any forum of any kind!
I began Chalean xtreme paired with Turbo Jam one month ago 2/19. My first check in after 2 weeks I lost 6 pounds and 6 ". I weigh in this Friday to see my results. I saw that someone posted they were getting married in September - so am I! I hope that I did this the right way...bear with me please as I learn... |
I'm the one getting married in Sept! :) Congrats to you, too! I am in my 3rd week of Push, and loving it! I am doing 8 weeks of each circuit, as I posted before, so I have 5 weeks left until Lean phase. SO excited. I, also, and doing Turbo Jam with it. I have lost 18 lbs and 15 inches so far. It is truly amazing, and plan to post my official measurements/weight loss after Push is over. I've never had such success. :) Sounds like you are on the right track too!
Also, let me add, I have a lot of respect for the gal who eats oatmeal, yogurt and salad only. But it doesn't have to be that way! I am just counting calories, and being diligent! Yesterday, as an example, I had 3 eggs and an english muffin for breakfast, a bologna and cheese sandwich for lunch, and filet mignon with baked beans and broccoli for dinner. 1400 cals and 140 grams of carbs. I only drink water, and sometimes coffee. Diet pop RARELY. I just am a firm believer in not depriving yourself of anything, because then it makes it easier to fall off the wagon. This is totally manageable for me, and clearly is working. :) So, I'm good! I started in Jan with 1800 cals/180 g carbs daily. Feb was 1600/160, and next month I will get to 1200/120. That will be the lowest I go, but I am happy happy happy with what I see in the mirror and feel in my clothes so far!!! Woo hoo! Keep up the good work, ladies! |
Honey
Guess you did not read to careufl I eat meats many times a day and that was a sample of one day. and i eat cookies when i want ect ect and the break down when you get to calories is actually higher than yours with TOSCA RENOS program its just you do not count calories because the foods you eat burn out of your body quicker because of the types of things they are . She usually does not have you eat beef but you can have buffalo because it is leaner. I personally work in a STEAKHOUSE and have it about once a month I perfer RIBEYE the fatest! JUST DID NOT want you to think I live on SALAD I eat MORE THAN anyone I know and MORE OFTEN!!!! |
Deva-
My bad. I meant no offense :) |
Lean Circuit 2.... my shoulders are crying. So hard, but so good. But I'm kind of upset because I found myself having to come down a little on my weights so I could be able to do the 12 reps and the breakdown with good form. :/

What an amaizing job you have done so far. good for you. are you doing just Chalene X. or are combining more into it like most of us do. ? just wondering. and yes also a believer of not depriving my self but i love learning and cleaning up any meal if i can. thats all. if i can eat with in a way that give me more nutrients/energy then lest do that .....you know! Erin409: How come you do the caloried in that order? and the carb amount? and do you have any snacks (fruits) in between your 3 meals? |
Mukiddo: I think that Lean circuit is hard in a different way I too found I had to reduce some of the weights , it is heavy on the deltoids and lots of reps I have 2 rods in my left arm{bad accident broke in 3 places in my shoulder} so in that arm in this phase for some reason on some of the exercise I have to use a lighter weight in that arm { though I usually use what Chalean does except for squats}
Erin: You are doing amazing,8 weeks in each phase wow! BET you are going to look FANTASTIC in your dress do you have it picked out! SORRY I was so touchy about WHAT I eat I just eat PLAIN it is a very balanced eating program actually.I have lost 50 lbs and have been keeping it off by mainly eating healthy Iam 57 so to be 58 and at my age even with my activity leval I can not eat more than 1800 calories a day without gaining weight, Clucaino which phase are you in? you must look pretty amazing at 5'8" already! Well this is my last week of LEAN and INSANITY Doubles {this is my recovery week of Insanity } So next week I hit the Lean for life Phase and my INSANITY MAX PHASE which is a little frightening they are pretty intence on the second month I will take it a day at a time. MUST SAY FEELING LIKE An ATHELETIC |
Cluciano-
Yes, I do Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1 every day, excluding the Intervals and Burn it off days. So I do cardio 7 days/week. I also added the Ab workout to an additional day, so I do that more than once per week. As far as the calorie thing, I was just trying to find a way to slowly lower my intake, without totally shocking my system. And this gradual decrease has really been doable! Deva- Ya, my dress is picked out and ordered in a size 8 - lol, I'm a 12 right now, so that's the ultimate motivation!! :) Again I apologize for offending you. We all have our things that are working, and I am so excited to share, as WELL as hear about everyone else's success! :) |

I feel good but my body has plenty or room for improvement. My abs are the weakest part in my body and i had to 2 children c-section so i am not too happy with that are at all :( but i will continue to work harder at it! have a question for all the girls that can do more then one workout section per each day how do you pull that and at what time in the day? I have 2 sm children and work 8 to 5 ..... i only pretty much have from 5am to 6am! DEVA: how do you do 3 workouts 1 chalene and 2 Insanity i am feeling like a slacker here :?: i cant imagine doing a combination of those 2 types of workouts NO??????? let me know your ideas and tricks ...........some morning i am just so tired but i still pull thru and do my workout, i cant imagine doing 2 eeekkk!!! |
I work 3rd shift, and go to school 3 mornings/week and also have 2 kids - 4 and 1. I totally know how it feels to have NO time. :) I, thankfully, have a very supportive fiance who keeps them busy in the evenings if I haven't found time to fit in my workout during the day sometime. My son (4) loves to jump around with me, so if I have to workout during the day, he gets incorporated into it. (He has some play weights, and likes to do the Chalean X workouts with me :) ) I found it hard at first to do the 2 workouts in one shot each day, but I just didn't feel like I was getting enough exercize with JUST the chalean x alone. I truly think that my results have been amplified by adding the additional cardio, though it IS challenging to fit it in. I am not seeing as big an impact this month for some reason, although I tend to weigh and measure too often out of excitement. I should just wait till the end of March to officially get the results. You guys all motivate me. Keep posting :)

You motivate me as well :) I have a 10 and 5 both have after school activities and homework’s, my afternoons are packed. My husband has a 7am to 7 or 8pm work schedule I can’t have his help till late, i can not workout that late i will not go to sleep. On the weekends i get all the help i need and i can usually do 2 workouts! :carrot: My daughter loves working out with me, my son i would have to beg and he would still quit LOL DO you do back to back workouts? all at once? I would have to go to bed for 8-9 pm to then wake at 4:30 ish to be able to do 2 of them .........i cant go to bed that early ........eeekkk!!! have so much do get ready at night for the next day! agghhh!!! Yes same here i almost went in the scale this morning but i said no because if it’s not what i want to see i can get a bit discouraged. its best we wait till end of each month, more rewarding then! :smug: |
Hi everyone! Haven't posted in a while, glad to see everyone is doing great with their workouts! I'm finishing up my first week of the lean month and I just LOVE how sore my bi's and tri's get after doing lean circuit 1! I even officially started following the Insanity program. Did my fit test yesterday and totally rocked the plyometric circuit. I'm taking a break for about an hour and then I'm going to hit Lean circuit 3.
I work from 6 am-2 pm 5 days a week and then usually have 2 days off. I get up around 345 am and do my cardio, then after work I do my weights. I don't have any kids yet and I don't know how I would be able to handle all that and taking care of a child so kudos to you ladies who are doing so well! After I finish up the Lean month, I am starting P90X! I am NERVOUS but also EXCITED at how awesome I am going to look. ;) Keep pluggin' away ladies, you are all doing great! |
I just ordered CXR! Hopefully I'll get it in a week and am ready to restart my weight loss and fat loss journey. ^_^.

I do only one Insanity WORKOUT and Clx and maybe an AB as an extra workout insanity or CLX .DOUBLES is a term used in p90x for doing ttwo programs at the same time which is what I do. I do both of mine in the mornings as I work nights as a waitress. I do Clx first because I consider it a much easier program and it warms my body up for the intense Cardio in INSANITY. Because I tried Insanity first and my body was not warmed up enough for all the quick moves. As for making time ITS really something you have to figure out for your self where you can cut time on other things AND ALSO MAKE A COMMITMENT TO YOURSELF THAT IT IS WHAT YOU WANT and some how you will make time and people around you eventually UNDERSTAND your COMMITMENT as they see your results and your RESOLVE THAT YOU MEAN IT THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!! |
Hi Everyone - I've decided to stick with the burn phase for another month and keep up with my cardio routine. I weighed myself a week before I should have and I was definitely discouraged - I won't be doing that again. I read that some of you are doing different diets...I have been following the food guide that comes with Chalean extreme and turbo jam - it was ok for the past month but I think I'll change it up with some other recipes which are low cal low carb. Looking forward to some results this month!
