I know there's 14 pages of info in this thread about the program. But to save me some time, anyone have any tips?

I ordered this earlier today and anxiously await it's arrival :)

Hum, what kind of tips are you looking for? Diet tips, workout tips? Weights or resistance bands?

I had a big meal and I am stuffed! I still didn't blow my calories for day.. in fact, I'm quite low: I ate only 1150 calories. But I feel fat. :(

Today is the day I'll do some Turbo Jam: Cardio Party 3 and Fat Blaster. I'm gonna give my best and jump a lot! :D I wanna burn at least 500 calories!!

Mainly workout tips. My diet is not bad since I had a gallbladder attack before thanksgiving last year. I'm very careful in what I eat. I guess what I'm looking for in regards to this program is what works for you? It's been a while since I've really worked out (baby born in June, didn't feel like working out) and it's kinda new to me again. I have managed some cardio here and there, but nothing to write home about.

ANY tips, tricks, hints, advice is appreciated :)

This program is amazing and you start at your own strength. I was doing Turbo Jam a month before starting this program, so my strength wasn't that good. I started with 3lb weights (although she recommends you start at 5lb) and I moved on to the resistance bands. I lost 8 inches all over my body after 30 days using the program. I didn't go on a scale yet, but I know I'm losing pounds because I am counting calories and cutting at least 4000 calories per week (enough to lose a pound per week). My old clothes are fitting again!

I am at the third week of the second phase of the program, the PUSH PHASE. I am loving this program so much! Since last week I thought that the bands weren't giving me enough resistance. So I went on and bought some weights (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846) and I can't wait to try them. And if I get stronger, I can just buy some heavier weights. :)

I suggest you to start the program and see how that goes. I bet you're gonna love it.

I tried the weights that I bought today with Push Circuit 2. OMG, it felt like a completely different workout. My shoulders are killing me!!

Thanks for all that!

I see quite a few mentioning not getting on the scale for 30 days. Is this something that's in the program? This is something I need to get better at as I weigh myself far too often and my mood changes with the gain or loss of a pound lol

Same here the day i started with my SelechTech weights i was able to go up on each muscle group at least 2 pounds and 5 more on legs i was shaking by rep. 4 WOW WOW i was sweating way more too! it felt awsome .......cant wait to the end of the program to see what i did! :)

My only frustration with the "caps weights" is that it takes so much time to change them out. They are great, don't get me wrong, I use the exact same ones...they get the job done...but I have to pause the video several times to change the weights out.

If anyone wants to donate the selectechs...I'll be more than happy to take them off your hands! :D

About the sweat.... OMG!!! I was sweating like I've never seen!! My legs (!!!) were sweating!! It's really something. I hear you when you say you can't wait for the end of the program... anxiety is killing me! :)

Yeah, that is really a bummer. I had to pause the video too so I could get everything ready. I will buy the selectechs someday...

Yea definitely going to need weights for this program the resistance bands aren't cutting it for me. I didn't even break a sweat nor was I sore after wards. :(

I felt the same way. :/ I bought my weights yesterday, at the 3rd week of the push week!! I really tried to make the band work for me, and I know they helped, but not a lot. :( But it's never too late, I guess.

I'm having a horrible day. I usually do my workouts at night, because of my work schedule. But tonight I have this massive headache and sickness. I'm not going to do the Burn Intervals today... which made me upset. I have to have my rest day earlier than planned. :/

I LOVE the lean phase!

I put on my hrm during my workout and it said i only burned 26 calories. :?: Has anyone else had that result? I'm just confused because Chalene works me HARD and I shake and sweat like crazy.

devadiva 03-05-2010 07:57 PM

From what I understand you WON"T show high calorie burns on weight lifting think it has something to do with the moving around.....its not that you reall did not burn calories it just does not read it . I read your site guys I am doing daily doubles of INSANITY & CHALEAN am in LEAN end week 2. and end week 3 Insanity. BACK TO WORK

aymr 03-05-2010 08:42 PM

Eve - could your battery on your HRM be going? As long as it has a chest band it should be registering something near your actual calorie burn.

Hello, all! I've got ChaLEAN in the mail, and am eagerly awaiting it. I did TJ for a number of months on 2 occasions in the past, but I've only been back to exercise for about 2-3 weeks this time. I've been on Weight Watchers since last summer. I've recently passed my 65lb milestone, of which about 7 were lost during the last 3 weeks while working out (it kicked me off a plateau, so that's a bit of the big loss for 3 weeks).

I LOVE TJ, and I think I'm really going to love ChaLEAN. Chalene is great to exercise with. I picked up the 50lb PowerBlock U-50's, and I can't wait to get going!!

Glad there's such an energetic community here to be of support!

Aym
