Ohhh.. wow!!!! Good for you!! :D :D

I am using the bands. I like them, but I feel the with the dumbbells I have more control of the movement. Since I can't afford the now, the band are doing just fine.

But Cluciano, amazing purchase!! :D Congrats!!!

Congrats! I think you will really like them. Have you seen them in person? They can look really bulky but really aren't that bad to use. I tried em out in a store but ended up with Power Blocks because of their 10 yr warranty.

I got my workout done. Burn Intervals and Abs. I think I should do the Abs DVD more so I'm thinking about doing it after each circuit but we'll see. Sometimes I'm just so spent for time that if I only get my scheduled workout in then I'm happy!

Today I did MUCH better with my eating. In fact, I probably haven't eaten enough. Maybe 1100 calories so I may have a snack here in a bit.
2 liters of water so far, hoping to get 1 more down before bed.

My throat has been bugging me lately...kinda feeling like I'm coming down with something? I hope not! Going to take some Nyquil before bed just in case!

How were your results with the Burn phase? Did you lose many inches?
The food portion is definitely the hardest part! Always a struggle for me and I seem to go in phases. All good for 2-3 weeks and then I slip up for a week or so. Sometimes that week turns out longer but I'm pretty determined this time around with Chalean. I really want to get some results and have some fun this summer flaunting all my hard work! (or at least get into a pair of shorts without being self conscious)

Anyways, Great work everyone!!! I'm outtie! :)

Hi I lost a few inches and maybe a couple of pounds. My eating was off though and in the early weeks of Burn I got frustrated before I picked up on the moves/pace/style of CE. Once I caught on to the program, I fell in love with it but took me a minute to get the eating part right. I tend to do the same thing as far as falling off for week but lately I've been pretty good. I've got a long way to go but I really feel that Chalene's gonna help me get where I want to be. :) I LOVE THIS PROGRAM! And I'm so motivated to do it.

Thanks for the info. I wondered about all that kicking, punching, and jumping. I'm not ready for all that. Burn Intervals just about did me in today. :stress: But I'm going to try it anyway and stop worrying about what I can't do and just do what I can.

I even was able to do the 10 pushups with leg lifts today on the Burn 1 DVD! I couldn't even get through 4 of them last week when I started. I am still unable to go all the way down but in due time. My body is getting so used to getting up earlier that by dinner time I am so tired. Is this happening to anyone else? Or maybe I need more sleep? I do my workouts first thing in the morning and maybe my body is telling me I need more sleep. I just get so sleepy around dinner time. I have good energy all day up until that point.

Definitely your body trying to tell you to rest up. I experienced the same thing a few nights ago. I was painfully sleeping at 8pm!!! I kept fighting it but I lost that battle and finally gave my body what it needed. REST! Keep at it! I feel so much stronger too!

It is not too bad for that. BTW Burn Intervals is my least favorite at the moment. But then again that is because I am so out of shape. It really works me though and reminds me that I need to work harder. It definitely is no joke!

Burn Intervals is not my favorite also.. but I am impressed on how much I have improved since the first time I did it. It almost surreal! :) The first time I did I had to stop the video so many times... now, I do it all at once and in good form.

My problems are the push ups. I don't know if it's because I'm still fat (170 - going on the scale next week), or I'm not strong enough. I do it on my knees, but I can't bring my chest very low. If I do it, I don't have the strength to pull myself up again. It is frustrating, but I hope that by the end of the program I'll be doing 12 push ups in very good form :)

I am on the last week of the Burn Phase and I'll be doing the Burn Intervals tomorrow. Let's see how that goes :)

MJKiddo 02-12-2010 04:15 AM

And I'm adding 5 TJ sessions this week. I've already done Burn Circuit 1 with the 20 Min Workout, on my rest day I did Cardio Party 3 and today I did Burn Circuit 2 with the cardio of Kickin Core.

I am doing Turbo Jam before CLX and I still have plenty of energy to do the Circuits in good form. When I did the cardio after, my body was so tired that I was unable to do the cardios properly. It's a good tip that I got it here, on the forum. :)

Google something like - 'how many calories do I need' and then figure out how many you need to maintain your weight. I'm not sure if this link will come through on the boards, but this is a good site to give you an idea. It will also tell you what kind of deficit you need to lose.

I started CLX on Feb 8 and have completed the 1st week. Like you ladies, I love the program! Before starting CLX, I did a 9 week bootcamp using The Firm, so I'm starting CLX in great shape - increased muscle definition and 16 lbs and lots of inches lost. After just 1 week of CLX, I'm seeing muscles popping everywhere in my upper body and seeing the line down the side of my thigh. :smug: I've been eating very clean since mid November and will throughout the program. I'm looking to get really lean abs and drop body fat. I bought the Reebok adjustable weights just for CLX. I really like them but my boyfriend is buying me SelectTechs (YEAH!!) so I can have the benefit of 2.5 lb increments when for example, 15lb is too light and 20# is too heavy.

To respond to the question about the abs, I do Extreme Abs 3 times a week right before the Burn Circuits. I feel I give more to the ab workout if I do it before the more intense weight lifting. I also workout 6 days a week doing cardio on that 1st rest day. I just bought Turbo Jam Max Results (I love it!!) and did Cardio Party yesterday (Saturday). Today is my rest day (which I need!) because I've been sore in a good way since Wednesday. I plan to do TJ 3-4 times a week (2 long ones and 1 or 2 short ones). I'm way too spent after the Burn Circuits to do anything afterwards, but may do a TJ in the evening after work.

Finally, Burn Intervals is my favorite! I love the cardio blasts and the low weight/high reps in between. It really leans out the muscles!

I'm looking forward to checking in with you ladies!

Hi everyone! It's great to be back. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I hurt the arches of my feet, so I couldn't do CLX for quite some time... then (probably because I wasn't exercising!) I got pretty sick. BUT I haven't gained any weight during that time. :)

I did my first CLX video today in 3 weeks (Push #1) and it felt great! It felt a little awkward getting back into it, for maybe the first 20 minutes or so, but I felt so good. I was also pleased to see that I haven't really lost any muscle definition and I was still able to lift as heavy as I did a month ago, even a little heavier in some cases.

I'm glad everyone is still doing CLX! Keep it up!!

That sounds good! I check in about every day to 2 days. I did Burn Circuit 3 today and used some 10 lb weights this time. My shoulders really felt it but I was glad to do it. I have found that the amount of weight that I am able to do is increasing so that is definitely improving! I do my workouts first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and then am doing the Wheybolic Extreme 60 chocolate shake with peanut butter for my breakfast. I recently ordered some lean meal replacement stuff too and was thinking of replacing one of my meals while training in combination with my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. What is your diet like?
