Hi Sue, Cedarville, Ohio is South West of Columbus... wayyyy at the other end from where I live, I am North East (aprox 1 hour East of Cleveland) not far from Lake Erie. Time-wise... I believe it's aprox. a 7 hour drive from where I live to Cedarville. Not that far really It's a beautiful area! Why has she chosen Ohio? What will be her major in college?

Awe... you and MKay are making me blush

Bless your hearts!

Default sunny-

She is only 17. She is in 11th grade so still may change her mind. She is an intelligent girl, she has the second highest average in her high school and really doesn't spend much time studying. She is involved in a whole bunch of extra ciricular activities. Captain of the cheer leading squad ect. She is going to go to Adirondack Com. Colledge for 2 years because she can go free. Top 10 % in class can go for no charge. Since my sister and bil are adopting a baby from China, she wants to be around for a couple years and not be so far away. Then she would like to transfer to Cederville. She has a couple interests in mind. Genetics, and law. She is traveling to China in July as a junior ambassador for the U.S.A. She is so excited, because she will get to see her baby sisters country. She will stay 17 days. This also is good for college credits. One of her fears with genetics is that she would be forced to participate in many areas that she wouldn't want to. God will put her on the right course I am sure. But thanks for asking. Here is a pic of her in the front . When we took the youth group to water safari, last fall. She is wearing the gray sweatshirt, and is in front of me, I am right behind her.

Default We've got another one!

We're babysitting Lara's puppy this weekend. His name is Jack (named after her grandfather) and he is a miniature Australian shepard.
Reba and Rylee just love playing with him. Rylee is obsessed with him and won't leave him alone. He is quite fiesty for a little guy.

I have finally realized that I am to blame for all the bad weather...SORRY gals! I know it's my fault...you see....I NEVER reply or forward those e-mails that say YOU MUST! or you will be cursed!! KARMA........

Enjoy your week-end...gotta jam.....Gary

Default missed you all

Hi all!

I'm having major computer trouble at work, i'm currently on a co-workers computer cuz my patience is wearing down on mine...

Sunny ~ How's it going on this new plan? It's strict how? I sure hope you are feeling better soon. Gosh, you've really had a hard time lately. Glad you have your church family praying, but i'm praying for you too sweets!

Mkay~how's DH doing and how's the nursing going? Can't wait to hear about the pups, do you know when they are due?

Teel~glad you had good news at the GP. What does it mean to be cream-krackered!

Gary~What a cute pup! I haven't heard of a miniature like that, but what a beauty! They are known for their extreme energy and having to "work". Do the miniatures have the same temperment?

I'm in work today but taking Monday off! I'm going to sleep in and then i'm going to a new place called the yarn cafe, suppose to be the biggest yarn store around, and they have a fireplace, and coffee and food, you can just hang out there. Then i'm meeting Bruce, our first meeting. I know i said no dating but God put this guy in my way and we've been talking and he seems nice. We'll see what happens when we meet. He's down to earth and a southern gentleman (from Oklahoma originally). I'm sure there's something terribly wrong with him! Then i'm going to dinner that night with a couple girl cousins.

Going to WI today after work, we'll see how that goes. I'm still doing fairly well i think. I can tell i've made some changes in habits, and i find it's the small things that are making a difference. I'm not going to let the numbers get me down, i just have to keep on and not give up. I'm reading Thin for Life, and what a great book. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to make a lasting change in their weight/health.

Default Good Morning!

Sami: It's so good to hear from you!! So exciting that you're going to be a grandma. I agree that you were just talking about their wedding and now a child. Glad to hear things are going well with you.

Gary: So tragic. My prayers are for you and this family.

Michelle: Have a great day off today!

Sunny: How are you doing on your new program? What's it about?

doitforme: Thanks for the pic. I love seeing what each of you look like.

teel: Glad to hear you didin't break it. Take care of yourself.

mkay: How are things going? Is DH recovering?

I spent the weekend getting meals, etc. ready for the coming week. DH had Sunday off so we spent that together. We went to church then out for lunch and then relaxed. Very nice. He was so tired that going out and doing something wasn't in the agenda.

I maintained my weight this week. I'm still exercising each morning and am following an eating plan that I hope will lower my blood pressure. It's called the DASH eating plan and is recommended by the American Heart Association. I go to the doctor in the middle of April so we'll see if it works. It recommends whole grains, low fat dairy, lots of veggies and fruits and less meat. It also shows you how to read labels for salt content, etc. There's salt in everything!! The website if you're interested is: www.nhlbi.nih.gov. I think it's common sense and healthy eating so hopefully it will work.

Time to get ready for work so I'll say have a great day!

Default Hi there!

E.Z. I am so sorry to hear about the young man from your church. I pray every night for our men and women serving in Iraq. I trully believe that what they are doing will make a difference in the Arab World. It is wonderful for Lebanon to be calling for Syria to leave. Egypt is suppose to hold elections, Saudi Arabia is going to let women vote ect. I think this will snowball. This of course I believe has to happen for the earth to come under a one world goverment discussed in revelations. I believe the technology we have today is progressing toward that end too. With the GPS sattelite. Where you can be found anywhere. With the eye scanners, and now chips of info implanted. It is coming fast. PTL I know I am saved.

Sami- So wonderful to hear from you, you must be so excited a new baby. I know I am and I am only an Aunt. We should be going sometime around June to pick up the Chinese baby, that my sister is adopting. It will be so much fun to have a little one around again.

Mitchy- Hope all went well with Bruce. The yarn store sounds interesting, don't have anything like that around here.

Wilma- Dash Diet- Most foods have more than a dash of salt. neat name. I am doing low cal, lean meat, and lots of veggies, I think I am sprouting ears on my head, in time for Easter. Great Job maintaining your weight this week.

Hello to all those MIA"s I am doing great. I lost another 1 lb this week. It seems to go on easier than it comes off. I did find a really yummy diet dessert though. Skinny cows strawberry shortcake ice cream sandwiches. They taste like the real icecream. The other varieties are o.k. But these are awesome. Gotta go catch up on bible reading, that I didn't get done yesterday. Sprout miss your devotions come back and let us know how that cute puppy is doing! Se ya!

Hello everyone! I have just joined this group today and I am very excited. Looks like everyone is truly doing well on their weight loss.

I am so happy that I have come across this group. I have a 12 week old niece that was born with a cancerous tumor in her head. It is bigger than her brain is has pushed it over to the left side of her head. She is undergoing chemotherapy now and is doing well. Please keep her lifted up in your prayers. We are believing God for a full and total recovery and that she will live a long and healthy life.

Well, i woke up this a.m. and I didn't feel forty??? But, alas, i am and i'm gonna enjoy this decade. I feel great, i'm getting this weight off me and it's gonna be great. Got a nice gift of Blue perfume from my folks, a box of socks from my bro (I love socks!) and I had a nice lunch date w/Bruce. He's nice and attractive, funny. We had a nice lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. I'm eating whatever i want today, but you know, i did really well at lunch and had a dinner salad and clam chowder and couldn't finish half of it. We also had crab stuffed mushrooms which were delish... But of course i guess i had to embarrass myself. While walking into the restaurant i hit a patch of ice, he was walking slightly ahead of me and boom...i went down, right on my booty! He helped me up, or tried too...i was so embarrassed. But i laughed about it too. He asked if i was ok, and i told him the only thing i think i hurt was my pride. But imagine him trying to help me up, legs all twisted, and i have a bad knee, i was afraid i'd pull him down...what a sight i'm sure.

Going to dinner tonight at a nice italian place with my cousins, i can't wait, i'm having a martini or wine tonight and dessert!!

We met at the knit cafe and i didn't have a good chance to check it all out so i went back there after and wow, what a great place. I met the owner and i may start to do some part time work there. I had a cup of decaf, sat by the fire, looked at some knitting books, just enjoyed myself. I got some yarn and going to make me a black fluffy scarf and some mohair booties for someone having a baby soon. So i'm off to knit before i leave for dinner.

I had a nice surprise this afternoon, a delivery of a dozen roses! They are from my cousin, her hubby and my niece and they are just beautiful! They are red, pink, peach and yellow! Then we went to dinner tonight and had a wonderful meal at this really quaint, elegant italian restaurant. Had wine, a nice tomato salad, homemade bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, a sirloin steak cooked to perfection and asparagus. Dessert was on the house for birthday people and so i had a really wonderful creme brulee that i shared with the girls. I've had a nice day. Bruce called me tonight too and we had a nice short talk. I know we'll see eachother again. And my best girlfriend in CA called me and with her 8 yo and twin girls sang me happy birthday. I am blessed....
