I wasn't online all this weekend so i didn't know....and i'm not as organized as our dear Sunny to know everyone's bdays! The house in WA sounds and looks beautiful. How did you end up in Eastern WA? Perhaps on purpose to not be in the most populated area...sounds like a good idea, as long as you have good access to "civilization" and healthcare. But then, you two sound like you'll be healthy and won't need that. And btw, no dates.....remember, i'm not dating anymore. Well, it's kind of true, i've just changed my attitude about the whole thing. There is someone i've been talking to and may meet for a casual dinner.
We had Holy Spirit Day all day on Sat. for Alpha. I took the time off of work and it was a nice day. The HS was there, our prayer ministry time was very special. It took a lot out of me though. I went home and basically crashed. My mom called at 9:30 and i was out. John was not there, he had a previously scheduled mini-vacation in AZ. I missed him not being there.
Today is one of my best high-school girlfriends 40th Bday!!! So Happy Birthday to Julie.....Can we possibly be this old????.......sheesh...
E.Z.-HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! Congrats! That will be neat having morning sun in kitchen nice way to wake up. That will be neat close to the Columbia River, have watched some Coast Guard footage of rescueing boats that get swamped in the end of the river. This Red Lion was a small Baptist Church in New Jersey. Nancy- Hi there! WAHOO 7LBS GREAT JOB! 7 lbs is alot carry around 7lbs of suger or flour. then ya realize how much it really is. Prayers for gall bladder. Sunny- Thanks ! Yes they are the same kids two leave for college this year, so we will go on our missions trip in April. Our group has grown from 9 kids to 13 kids. We are going to New Jersey again and visit two churches and several retirement/Nursing homes ect. thatwe didn't get to last year. We were planning Virginia, but had a hard time finding nursing homes with interest. I guess the youth groups down there visit the nursing homes regularly, so the need is not as great. Anyway The Lord has worked it out we are going back to New Jersey. The year before last was New Brunswick. We have a great time no matter were we go anyway. Sorry to hear your still not feeling up to par, prayers for healing.
Craftymom- 14x14 sounds like an awesome summer retreat. I just read an article in T.V. Guide about CSI Las Vegas. They are going to hook Warick and Katherine up as a romantic duo, and bring in all the scenarios with love at work, I personally see it ruining the show but will see. Wilma- GREAT JOB LOSS OF 3 LBS- you done good. Sorry about loss of post I have done that so many times so now I just do several of short durration. Hi to everyone else- Teel, Sami, Bunna, ect. Mitchy- you posted at same time sounds like you had a great day Sat. though tiring. Hope I am not boring people with my pics but am including a couple more of pharoah skit they did, I got Pharoah's crown off e-bay it actually was a bellydancers crown. Pharoah is played by my nephew. I had an awesome weekend, today expected 12-18 inches of snow tonight unless some goes out to sea, I'll be at work all evening so guess it won't matter that much. Spring will never come.See ya all!
Just wanted to share this poem Probably better for Christmas But I enjoyed it anyway! So here it is. So true.
Twas the night before Jesus Came
‘Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house
Not a creature was praying, not a one in the house.
Their bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.
The children were dressing to crawl into bed,
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And mom in her rocker with baby on her lap
Was watching the late show while I took a nap.
When out to the East there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to the window, I flew like a flash
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!
The light of His face made me cover my head
It was Jesus! Returning just like He said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,
I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.
In the Book of Life which He held in His hand
Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name ;
When He said “It’s not here” my head hung in shame.
The people whose names had been written with love
He gathered to take to His Father above.
With those who were ready He rose without a sound
While all the rest were left standing around.
I fell to my knees, but it was too late ;
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight ;
Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.
In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;
The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There’s only one life and when comes the last call
We’ll find that the Bible was true after all!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. You are all so kind.
Just got back from the park...took the puppies up there to run wild...it's pretty well fenced in, hilly, grassy and with trails....about 5 acres behind an industrial center...very few people-if any...Angie and a couple of her friends are always taking their dogs up there...of course it says NO DOGS...but nobody seems to care. We unleash them and you should see them go! Gives great practice at the "RYLEE-REBA COME" command. Right now they are almost too tired for dinner...I said ALMOST
MICHELE and DONNA- you asked "how come eastern Washington?" Wish I could tell you We like western Washington..without the rain! We like parts of Oregon...without rain and snow...we have friends in western and eastern Washington, and oregon...have visited several areas and feel that this MIGHT work for us...it is populated and there are MODERN stores there Every chain you can imagine, 2 Home Depots, a Lowes, Super Wal-Mart (although I have issues here...not to offend anyone)...Washington State University just ran a report saying that it was the most affordable area in the state (of course there are reasons for this )...and a growing area. However, the main thing~~~We should be able to keep our house here in California while we try the new one out for a few years...just to see if we can make it/or even want to after a couple of years...if we like it and want to stay Angie and I can retire a lot sooner. It certainly isn't southern California!! Yes, Angie will teach there...assuming she gets hired...and I will continue to do drywall...assuming I get hired...of course if the first compnay I ask turns me down I'll just stay home!! Bottom line--if we can survive there, it should be a much more affordable place to retire when the time comes...with our California home equity as a cushion.
Well Angie is calling dinner...tonight it is baked potatoes~~ cheese, sour cream, chives, chili as toppings.
Well done all those who are turning out to be losers this week!
It is cold here today but NO snow yet...only rain and grey skies and more drizzle.
I have my scooter back...Hooray!! If my darned ankle doesn't feel better enough to walk on soon the scooter is going to come in very useful. I am very thankful to say that in the end it was only a small thing causing a whole load of grief! Something had come dislodged somewhere in the works...phew!!
Yesterday I thought my ankle was SO much better and I probably did too much on it so today it hurts as much as the day I first injured it. I am meant to be attending a funeral this afternoon for a dear lovely 71 yr old from church who died nearly a fortnight ago. He will be sorely missed as he had a wonderful door ministry, welcoming people in and out every Sunday. I am saad not to be there.Prayers for his DW please who is finding hard to come to terms with the fact she was not actualy there at the moment of death.
Sue, what a beautiful poem. Thank you for posting it for all to share.
Hello to Sunny, Bunna, Mkay, Mitchypoo, Wilma ( on the 3lb loss!) and EVERYBODY else I may have not mentioned!!
I was feeling really down and like i had blown it for about 4-5 days including the weekend, although when i think back i did really well for most of the day and then really struggled at night. And then i'd jump right on program again. So I was sure that i'd be up, like lbs up......and I was DOWN!! So i learned another good lesson, it's the small steps and overall i'm doing well, even though my TOM and the evenings this last week have been difficult.
Teel, so sad about your friend from church, prayers for his DW. Glad you got your scooter back, is it one that you can have on the streets? I can imagine that will help you a lot, to have more mobility.
Have a couple of minutes before I get out and pick up dog ....! Tomorrow morning the trash truck comes and I just love to have a special surprise for him when he opens the can My nephew usually helps me with the trash...but today I am all alone on the duty...it takes us awhile to get it out...here in Calif. we recycle quite a bit...sooo, we have to seperate the newspapers...and I take 3 a day!!...the plastic and glass, the green yard waste cans...plus I swear we have more trash than anyone else!! always seem to have at least 2 cans going out...OH, and we do cardboard too...has to be broken down, with Angie's extra businesses we have a ton of cardboard boxes every week.
My nephew made the high scholl JV tennis team...he is a happy camper right now! He doesn't really care if he plays..he just wants the uniform and the tennis bag!!
My neice came by last night...she got married a few months ago (for insurance purposes)...her wedding is in April, she wants my nephew to walk her mom..my sister...down the asile since my/her dad has passed away...cool.
TEEL Should we start calling you SCOOTER Wasn't sure if the something that was dislodged was in your ANKLE or the SCOOTER I am sending ...if you don't get it..DON'T BLAME ME!! I did all I could
MICHELE STOP!! WORRYING ABOUT EACH TIME YOU WEIGH IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a lifestyle change dear...there WILL be downers...but there will also be UPPERS!!! If you get too caught up in the down times you fail to keep focusing on the UP times that are to come...AND THEY WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep taking those small steps like you are.
SUE Thanks for the poem.
MKAY Prayers for your husband and you in this unfortunate time! I lost a year once...severed my anterior cruciate ligament in my knee..I did have workmans compensation..but it was less than half my wages...this happened right after I had settled with my ex financially on our divorce...OUCH! but I made it through it...you will too...PRAYERS!
WILMA GREAT job on the weight loss!! Must be all that apt. hunting and wedding planning...just wait until after the other by gets hitched...you'll be down to skin and bones
SUNNY I hope this finds you and Joe doing well...OH, and the boys
E.Z.- Your nephew sounds like he is doing great, we knew He would with you as an example. Happy for him that he was able to get on the team. Sorry for you haveing to bag dog --- just don't step in any.
Mitchy- E.Z. is right there are other things that effect our weight as well so even if you have been good there might be a gain from water. Gotta look at the big picture. Don't beat yourself up, prayers for a great day!
Teel- Thanks! I really enjoyed the poem as it is so true. Prayers for your ankle and for your friend that went to be with the LORD. That is such an inportant job greeting people at the door and making sure they are welcome, can make the difference of people coming back.
Busy today gotta leave for work in 10 min. but wanted to pop in, Hi to all I missed. You guys all have a wonderful day.
Hello.
Been to the g.p. this morning for him to examine the damage I have done to my ankle.
He is sending me off to x-ray to see if I have broken it.
Its painful and kept me awake most of last night.
So I will try and get a lift tomorrow up to casualty Later in the morning I have my kidney ultra-sound booked so it sounds like I will be up there in the department most of the day, especially if the ankle needs to be p.o.p.'d or strapped.....
How is everybody?
Here the sun has not quite reached us but thanks to EZ for tryind! At least it is dry and mild!!
Sorry I haven't been posting. I've checked in a couple times when I had a few minutes but have not had time to post. The city is getting their monies worth out of me this week.
Teel...I can imagine the pain now that DH has his foot issue. Sorry to hear about it. I "could" come over there and take care of you. DH sure has it made. I made sure he had his soap, q-tips, deo, towel, wash cloth, set of clean clothes (one sock ), I even put 2 mints on his towel and set out candles for his "wash up" today. I even put the oatmeal packages in the bowl for him AND put the applesauce in the fridge at a level he can reach as he wheels himself around the kitchen on our chairs. He hated those chairs, but now they've come in handy. I told him today that God does NOT waste anything...even chairs.
Michele...That silly TOM finally found its way home for me. Amen! I ate like a little piggy but now I am back in the swing of things. Still no great weight loss but I feel better. I am looking forward to Chicago this summer!
EZ...Happy belated birthday! I am being a great nurse for DH. He does appreciate it too...I can tell. Nikki is getting fat...she's due this weekend. DH, even on crutches, going down the basement to work on her whelping bed. I helped as much as I could yesterday, but you know those guys...they have to do it all. I really believe that my class (Battlefield of the Mind) and the HS has been revealing to me things I need to work on....Amen! I luv the Lord!
Hiya gals.
A mega quickie post here as having been at the hospital for a few hours I am extremely cream-krackered!
Anyway the good news is I HAVEN'T BROKEN IT!!! Its just (JUST!!!????) a really bad sprain so I am now the proud owner of a nice shiny new pair of crutches. I wonder what damage I can do on those?
I also had my renal tract ulta-sound which didn't show up any pathological abnormalities so that side of things is still a mystery....

It's Thursday!
Good Morning!
Thank you for all your prayers, thoughts and concerns! I so needed every prayer I could get... My hubby has the whole church praying for me! I was very ill there... I worried myself! But since I began the program from *Patient Heal Thyself* (the beginning of day #5 for me today) I am doing much better. The program is not an easy one to follow at all, nevermind the $$$ you have to spend in food and supplements! I'm still not well, but I didn't expect to get better over night either... I have been ill for way too long and according to this book I have it could take up to 3 months for the intestine to rebuild and heal itself. I just have to stay with the program. Maybe I will lose some more weight too! Right now, I haven't budged. But I have gotten 3.5 miles on my T-Mill yesterday and today So you know that I am feeling better again. The information I gave to you, Gary, is a good program for your DD, but I needed to do something a bit more drastic for myself, if I didn't want surgery (again)! That's why I went to this program... I have such scarred up intestines from my car accident and the last two surgeries after that (3 all together), that I needed to go this route and I have made it though the worst of it so I should be fine now.
So what did you all (who watch) think of *American Idol* last night? I thought that doing it in 30 minutes & without the suspense (pain for the kids) was a whole lot better! The producers really got allot of flack for what they did last week! I was so upset to see Judd go too. I hope we can get him voted back on. I voted for him to come back... we'll see. I was really sorry to see Aloha Mischeau go too! She was good and it was a big mistake to vote her off! I think that Janay Castine should have gone last night! What a mistake that was... What are your thoughts? Who do you favor? Here is the LINK to the contestants~> http://idolonfox.com/contestants/ so you can check them out for yourself. I went there to see if I could bring Aloha back, but it looks like Celena Rae will get that vote right now, oh well.

Hi Gary, I WISH we had some weather like yours! But... we live in the snow-belt of Ohio & did we get hit! We got a bit over 18" of snow in the last two days and it's now only 8* here this morning! Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, is all I havta say! At least the sun is shinning today The romp with the pups sounded like so much fun!!! I'd give anything right now to see grass and feel the warm air! It's really cold here!
I use that Dijon recipe for Salmon too!! It is delish! It's my fav! You are very welcome! I am glad to hear that you had such a nice day!
Sounds like you two have really thought this all out with your New home and the home in California Will either of your kids want buy your Ca. home?
Yeah for your DN and making the JV Tennis team... that will be such good exercise for him. I bet you are floating on a cloud
Yep, my boys are doing great! They have made me allot during this rough spot in my life... don't know what I'd do without them during the day to bring me smiles
Hi Teel, I am so glad to hear that you got your scooter back too! Ankle's do take a long time to heal... take my word for it! I had a double sprain on my right ankle and it still bothers me at times from last year! Just make sure you allow it to completely heal up before you try to do anything stressful on it again, okay
*Prayers for you*
I am so sorry to hear of your DF's passing... {{{hugs}}}
I wish it were just the weather making me ill, although it does help to have sunny days, but it was my intestines. Just to fill you (and the others that are new here) in...I had a very bad car accident when I was 19 yrs old and was preg. and due in a week with a little girl (we named her Lisa Anne). I lost our baby and all chances of ever having kids again... damaged my left kneecap on the steering column and damaged my insides losing over 6 UNITS of blood. I lost Lisa, my one ovary, uterus & both tubes & messed up my intestines, badly - having two surgeries after the accident to do repairs of added scar tissue & adhesions. And had cysts removed on my one remaining ovary which they eventually removed everything (remaining ovary and uterus) all together when I was in my late 20's. I was not only a physical mess, but an emotional mess too! But ever since they cleaned me up and put me on Premrin I have been doing pretty good until these last two years. I have begun to experience more attacks of pain in my gut, stripping me of all my energy... Diverticulitis at times, but mostly real bad IBS attacks. So that's it in a nutshell and why I am giving this book/program a try. I am desperate to feel well again, but really do not want to go under the knife again Thank-you so much for all your thoughts and prayers! As I continue to do the same for you also
Hi MKay, I am sorry I haven't been around lately to know of your DH's fall I do hope that he is doing much better now that he is at home, it's so hard to recoup at the hospital. Sorry to hear that your weekend wasn't all you hoped it would be, but I was glad to hear that you were there for your DH when he needed you most... it warms my heart
Yes, *CSI * & *Survivor* were really good! I cannot wait for tonight!
Hi Wilma, Thanks for clearing that up about your hubby I need to do that more often... to TRUST that Joe will be okay in his travels. It wasn't easy in the weather we had these last two days! What a mess... Joe said the freeways were littered with car accidents and tow trucks. I was so relieved when Joe's truck pulled into the driveway. Most times I don't worry, but when it's nasty out like it was - I am afraid I do
Congrats on your 5 lb loss!!!!!!!!!
Keep up the great job, Wilma!
Hi Michele, Your Spirit Day sounded sound nice! I could use a day like that after I am all better Right now... I must stay close to home. How have you been feeling these days?
WooHoo
on your continued success in wt-loss!
I so envy you!
Hi Sue, Nice Poem!! Not boring me!!! I Loved all the pictures! I remember when you got that crown on e-bay What a nice size group - 13... easy to travel and to do the shows you do. Joe & I worked with a group for many years with about 20 in it, a bit harder for travelling, so we worked allot with of local churches, nursing homes & other performing groups (mimes, clowns and such). I sure miss doing that now, but with Joe's hours it's too hard to give what we need to keep one going. Maybe when he retires we can get back into it In the meantime, you keep up the great job! When will you go to Jersey?
*~*~*
Well, I must get my day started and get caught up with the laundry that I never did yesterday! And I have bill's to pay today too Yuck
Teel- Awesome news that they found nothing pathology wise wrong with kidneys and that the ankle isn't broken, but sometimes sprains can be as bad as breaks so be careful and take it easy.
M-kay- Great job taking care of hubby sounds like things are going better- your upbeat. soon to be a mommy again too!
Sunny- Thanks! We leave April 16th - 23rd. Should be alot of fun. Question are you anywhere near the Colledge of Cederville- My Niece wants to go there in a couple years, I know its in Ohio but don't know where. Just wondering. Hope the new program takes all the pain away, and your soon as good as new. Thanks for the sunshine you spread even when your not feeling well, Hi to everyone else gotta run, make dinner. off tom as well, so hope to get things done and do some sewing of costumes. Have a blessed day!
