THANKS, NELLY, TRISH, RONNIE, and everyone else ~ for your prayers for us all, the trip, and the surgery -- so very appreciated esp as it gets closer to the day. Keeping busy getting everything ready. Mostly small stuff today then took a rest early this evening. Heading back to bed soon as it's getting late -- just wanted to check in here for a bit.
Hope you all have a wonderful week coming up. Mine will be busy but will keep in touch when I can. BTW, GRACE'S first chemo round went well; she was a bit tired but says she feels very good. DAD's got a flu; hope that goes away soon -- maybe too stressed right now, he thinks. Prayers that he and my BIL both will be over that soon, as I don't need any colds or flus before this surgery.
Thanks for all your prayers -- they are so very appreciated!!!
THANKS, DEE ~ the guys are here; they said the roads were clear all the way up. We checked and they are calling for GOOD weather and road conditions for all of tomorrow -- PRAIZE GOD!!! They have gone to their hotel to get extra sleep after bringing dinner for us all.
We will be leaving bright and early tomorrow -- about 8 AM. I have everything as ready as I can. A man even offered to keep our lane clear while we are gone -- GOD BLESS, Norm for his generosity of spirit!!!
I have a few small things I must do before bed, so off I must go. Hope I can sleep tonight. Thanks to everyone for your prayers ...
Hello everyone-- Sorry I have been sort of MIA here lately! BUT I finally finished the afghan that I have been working on for my brother for Christmas. I wish I would have started it a lot sooner than just a month ago but finally done!! WHEW!! It is on a queen size bed here. I've made one for both my brothers and my sister now. I enjoy doing it but not ready to start another one right away!!
I have checked in a few times and want to let everyone know that you are all in my prayers and sending good thoughts for all.
Karen, your afghan is gorgeous, I am sure your brother will treasure it.
rosebud, you are in my prayers , praying that you will be relaxed and confident as you go into surgery. I believe you have a great surgical team assembled and they don't know it but I am praying for them too.
Prayers continue going up for all of you. Rosebud Praying for a safe trip and for your surgical team's hands and mines to be guided by the Holy Spirit. We expect a great report and quick recovery.
Karen, love the afghan! My mom makes those for me, and I treasure them.
Prayers for Rosebud, Gary, Bargoo and everyone. I'm heading out of town to see my folks for Christmas. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas (and a successful surgery for Rosebud!) in case I don't get to check in. Not sure what my internet options will be where I'm headed, my folks live a ways out in the boonies.
THANKS, EVERYONE for all the prayers -- I've been feeling really good, so that must be why! I've lost a bit of weight (15 lbs in 2 weeks); probably lots of water, I'm sure (or, Daisy's taking some of my food).
Asking for prayers for a good sleep on Sunday night and for the epidural they put in Monday am before the surgery (for pain). I can only have clear fluids on Sunday (no food) so will be eating lots of jello and chicken broth instead. Thanks!
PRAIZE GOD ~ we had great weather and road conditions for both trips (down south and to Hamilton yesterday). Sister & bil are spoiling us rotten; we are staying in really nice hotel suite and the staff are treating us really special too. Just resting and taking it easy here; enjoying ourselves.
Rosebud:
praying for you and I know you will be in God's hands
"draw near to God and He will draw near to you" and you have done this, so He won't abandon you now!
