Chiropractor called around 8 this morning and made appt for DH to go in at 9:30 am. Besides or because of pinched nerve, his shoulder was almost frozen up. Doc says he can help him. Treated him and then sent us home with large ice pack. DH has to lay in bathtub with water up to his neck for 20 minutes a day and then use ice pack every hour for 20 minutes. He decided not to have him back until Monday and then we will do M-W-F treatments. He said that he will be pretty sore this weekend so do the water soak once a day and use the ice pack around the clock. The good news is that he said that he can help Tony recover from this. Thank you for your prayers and I would appreciate continued prayer that he will respond to treatment quickly. Doc said he hadn't worked on someone as bad as DH is in a long time.

Prayers continue for all of you. Blessings to all.

Pattygirl- praying for your husband's swift recovery. Toss some epsom salts into that bath water, it'll help.

God Bless.

Amazing you said that as that is one of the things the Chiro told us to do. He is sleeping very well right now which is a good sign to me that treatment is helping already.

Praying for all the victims and their families in Connecticut. Such senseless tragedy. My heart goes out to those precious people who lost loved ones today. We must pray too for the survivors who have to deal with this especially as parents who have to help their children who lived throught it.

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS ~ boy, they were sure being heard -- we had good weather and clear roads all the way there and back. We had only very light flurries as we left and as we came home today -- so awesome for this time of year. My SIL did a wonderful job driving us -- GOD BLESS HER for that! The trip is 300 miles each way, and we had to take a detour today becuz of an accident in the early AM; but we still made it home in good time anyways!

PRAIZE GOD for the good trip -- the inn we stayed in was lovely with a complimentary breakfast in the morning. The meeting with the surgeon went well. You must have being praying hard becuz I wasn't nervous at all from the time I went to bed Wednesday night and right through this whole trip.

RE: SURGERY ~ So, the surgery is on DECEMBER 24th at 8 AM (and I must be there at 6 am for prep; epidural, etc). What a wonderful Christmas present this is to me from GOD! I have to go the Friday (21st) before to see the anesthesiologist to get some tests done (for my heart & blood work etc). I will be in the hospital 5-7 days, as long as everything goes smoothly and I heal well (longer, only if needed).

This surgeon (DR. MAZURKA) wants to do it and sounded very confident to me, which is what I asked GOD for (someone who believed in himself). He was honest and said his biggest concern is that I can stay under long enuff for them to get this tumor/growth out. So I need extra special prayers for that -- for the anesthesiologist. I am having a complete hysterectomy (of course); and the surgery will be in the HENDERSON General Hospital, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

The recovery will be long and I will have to learn how to walk all over again (and will need physical therapy and home care which will be arranged). I need prayers for that, and for NO COMPLCATIONS, for NO BLOOD CLOTS IN MY LEGS (or anywhere), for NO INFECTION, and for NOT TOO MUCH PAIN for the whole recovery. I will be at my sister's place for the recovery period (about 6 weeks or more) until I am well enuff to come home, but I will be able to keep in touch with you there, as I am taking my laptop with me as well.

So, now we get ready to go south. My BIL and brother will be coming to get us (me, DH, and our furry baby) probably for Monday, December 17th. That is an even longer trip (I'm guesstimating 500+ miles), but we will be able to stop lots and have a comfortable vehicle for me to go in. I took a thick cushion to put it behind my back and that really helped a lot. I did have a few mild lower back spasms for only a short while but not like before -- nothing an xtra- strength tylenol couldn't handle. Thank the LORD, indeedy!!!

Once again, thanks for your prayers and positive thoughts -- I could sure feel them! Prayers are continuing for you and yours (all requests and concerns posted here). Gonna go to bed earlier tonight; need some rest ...

RONNI & BARGOO & EVERYONE ELSE TOO ~ thanks for your prayers for us and the surgeons and medical workers who'll do this surgery. I am praying lots for the anesthesiologist too, to make sure all goes well with his calculations too (so important).

BTW, the guys are driving up here to get us on Monday, but we'll be driving down south on Tuesday, December 18th. Prayers for good weather, good roads, and a comfortable, safe trip are needed for it's a long one. Thanks!!!

Rosebud-we will definitely be praying for travel mercies! And, for the whole surgical team, especially the anesthesiologist. It's so important that they be clear-headed and focused! God is providing a great team, including your family, and we'll be praying you along!
