Hi, everyone-Just letting you know you're all in my prayers!
We've got a praise-the strike that I mentioned awhile back (possibly on the Encouragers thread) has been averted! The contract, bad as it is, has been voted in, so no strike. No one could have afforded a strike and, since this is a 'right to work' state, there was considerable fear that the 'temps' who the union workers were being forced to train would be kept as permanent and everyone who's union would be fired after a strike. So, our insurance will be horrible and there's no such thing as union seniority any longer, but I KNOW GOD WILL GET US THROUGH!! Thanks for all the prayers
REMINDER ~ my SM, GRACE -- is having her bladder surgery today to remove a couple of tumors. We're ^praying^ for the surgeon that all will go well, with no complications or hemorrhaging; plus peace for GRACIE and my DAD ... thanks, Warriors!

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS, EVERYONE ~ I just got a call from my DAD and GRACE's surgery went well. They removed 4 small tumors and she has to have a catheter in for a week (which isn't that nice), but it seems to be doing well already, and DAD says that she is in good spirits too.
Going to the city tomorrow for the CT Scan on my abdomen. We got some light snow today, but had a good trip for our glasses anyways. Praying the weather will be good again and the roads stay clear for us as well. Thanks!!!
EDIT2ADD ~ Prayers for my DH -- he is very confused tonight after waking up from a nap and dream of his younger years. It appears that the night-time and after sleeping, seem to be the times he gets the most confused and disoriented for some reason (like tonight, he thought I was his mother). Thanks for your prayers for him.

I have a couple of requests to add. I found out this a.m. that my stepmom is in the hospital with pneumonia. I appreciate prayers for her.
I also found out yesterday that a couple we know of lost their little 8 month old boy yesterday. They don't know cause of death yet but it looks like it could be SIDS. Please pray for the parents and grandparents. My heart is breaking for them.
Rosebud I understand how hard it is with your DH's confusion in dealing with my Grandma's alzheimer's. Sometimes she thought I was my dad, my son and of course myself...very hard to handle sometimes...big hug!
THANKS SO MUCH, EVERYONE ~ for your kind words of support and your prayers for both of us. It means more than you'll ever know. PRAIZE GOD, we had good weather and clear roads there & back today; and the test went well and very quickly actually. Now I have to make an appt with my family doctor to discuss the results; that will be next week or so, I guess. Will let you know as soon as I do ...
WILMA ~ ^Prayers^ going up for your step-mother that the pneumonia will clear up right away; and for that couple & their family, who lost their baby -- poor dears!
