My friends baby was born with MAS. Shes asking for prayers. Shes on a ventilator because her oxygen levels aren't high enough. They've got her in a cooling bed and are running more tests because she was siezing when born. Shes a beautiful baby girl, and i just pray she will be okay.
BARGOO ~ PRAIZE GOD for those wonderful test results!!!
DIVINE-FIDELITY ~ sending up ^prayers^ for your friend's baby & family ...
PRAYER REQUEST ~ just got a call from my DAD (Bill S.); he had a colonoscopy where they took out a polyp that came back positive with cancer cells. They are going to do exploritory surgery on OCTOBER 5th/2012, and take out whatever they have to. I know he could use your prayers for peace as well; and we thank GOD that his surgeon is insisting on quick, aggressive care ... thanks warriors!
ALSO, DH ~ had his yearly tests for Alzheimers; sadly, his short-term recall has worsened and he gets more confused, but we will be "trying" a new medicine starting this week. We pray it will help him with no side effects this time. We have to pay for this one ourselves, so we really hope it helps; and I told DH he was worth it ...
This is the man I married many years ago, who has been slipping away from me ever so slowly. This is how I will always remember him: the guy who loves to joke around. Today was a hard day for me. DH was so upset to see how much he couldn't remember; and it was so hard for me to watch that too. Then my DAD called; and he was trying to be so brave, just like my DH was earlier today ... there are so many kinds of battles, aren't there?
Rosebud, will be praying for your dad, I find it quite reassuring that they are not doing the exploratory surgery until October. It is when they riush you right in that I would be concerned.
And your DH, Praying for him , of course and praying especially for you, I have friends who have spouses with Alzheimers, it's tough to be the spouse. I will pray for strength for you. My couisn Janet, two years younger than me has been moved into assisted living because of Alzheimers. It is tough to think of this happening to her, but she is quite content, it is the rest of us that have a hard time with it.

OH, BARGOO ~ thanks for those positive thoughts; and of course, you are probably right! You've made me feel so much better -- now I know what to say to him the next time I talk to him. They are coming up again in August.
THANKS EVERYONE SO MUCH for your kind words of support ~ it was just so much for me to go through in one day; you almost can't think clearly from so much sadness. Thank you for your prayers for us all ...
Rosebud ~ I am so sorry to hear about your DH and DF's health concerns! Sometimes it seems like difficulities come in a clump--or at least more than one thing at a time--so that we feel we're in a vortex of uncertainty. I know that you'll remember we are all keeping you in prayer for God's strength to guide you through this time.
We just (a few minutes ago) received news that my SIL has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She is my DH's only sibling, and he is feeling so helpless. We live a couple of hours away, so we can only visit on weekends or on holidays--we'll go to see her Sunday. She's never married and has no children, but a great network of very loving and caring friends. Thank you, God!
This is kind of deja vu for me. My DB, my only sibling, died a couple of years ago from lung cancer. One result of it, however, was that we became much closer. I've learned that when I am faced with difficult times, God can bring a ray of sunshine and hope.
ROSE ~ thanks for your prayers & kind words of support; they are very appreciated. It seems we all have been touched by the cancer malady in some way. Several members of our family have battled cancer; some are survivors, and a few are now home with our LORD. This is my DAD's second time but we are hoping they caught it early enuff. I wish they could get him in there faster -- my Aunt says we should pray for that too. We are also gonna pray that the cancer cells will be contained, and not spread until the surgery date (October 5th).
We will send up ^prayers^ for your SIL and your DH too!
