I have been having trouble with this site loading correctly...not sure why, can't scroll, etc

Checking in when I can get it to work, the last page won't and this one does, who knows?

Any how...
Praying here as well.

Update: I personally am wearing a heart event monitor this week. Had palpitations for the last year and finally decided to look into it. want to get to the bottom of it, and of course they don't happen now ... oh well, had some things to record last night and will continue for awhile longer I guess.

auntnelly, I had trouble scrolling, too, I solved it by using IE for sites where I need to scroll and Firefox where I don't want to scroll. It is a little inconvenient but it works. I do prefer Firefox and don't know why it won't scroll.

LADIES ~ I have been having trouble scrolling on the CHRISTIAN ENCOURAGERS THREAD almost every time I go in there; and I am using IE. I had Firefox on my last PC and got a horrible virus which crashed my PC; it was so bad, I had to get another one. It would cost almost as much to fix it as it did to buy my new laptop, so I bought a new laptop; and my sweet sister (Numpster) sent me up this desktop for free (bless her heart).

Must be something on this site and in these threads that are causing this problem. Today, it is working OK for me so far. I think it may be some of the ads & pop-ups coming up that my virus programs are battling too. If find if I just wait a few minutes, it settles down (after about 2-3 minutes or so).

UPDATE: NELLY ~ I just wanted to share with you all that DH tried the new pills for a month, and they don't appear to be helping him in any way; actually, he seems worse to me -- he is forgetting more than before. The doctor had said that they could make him better or worse (esp regarding confusion); and we were hoping for the better.

So, DH doesn't want to take them anymore; and I agree with him. He seems a lot worse since he started taking all these meds; and I am annoyed that we were pushed into trying them at all. I think your step-mother knew what she was talking about -- becuz they can make the patient regress much faster than if they hadn't taken anything.

However, we are just gonna continue on with the B-vitamin complex which includes the B-12 which is supposed to help a bit. At least we know that these natural means have no side affects to them. I am just giving him about 8 mg of the B-complex each day, as the body can only assimilate 6 mg a day anyways and will store the extra B-12 in the body for later use.

DH admitted to me today that he is forgetting how to get to certain places in town; and I think part of that is that since he doesn't drive anymore and go to these places regularly with me, he can't recall them. You have to keep doing certain things if you want to remember them. It's like they say, "If you don't use it, you lose it!"

He seems to also have the symptoms of OCD as he tends to obsess about things a bit (like our shed); which could probably be part of the Aspergers and Alzheimers too; it is just more magnified now. Helping him stay calm is really more important right now for both our sakes. Thanks so much to all of you for your continued prayers for both of us; we sure need it, and I can feel it too ...

Pardon my intrusion over here, but was looking around for Gary (EZMONEY) and discovered his last few posts on this thread.

Sending supportive thoughts, Gary, that the testing finds stuff that can be dealt with and that you get yourself back on track.

I'll think of you when I'm out for the last two weeks in August, all off-web, with time to gaze at the stars and wonder about us all.

PRAYER REQUEST for Danis Touttit ~ On September 7/2012, Danis will have surgery to put in a permanent valve in her upper arm for dialysis. As you may know, surgery for anyone with severe diabetes is risky. Prayers that the surgery will go well with no complications, and that she will heal well too ... thanks!

For BIL, TOM M ~ re some mild pain in his lower back; that it's nothing serious and will go away soon ... thanks!

Rosebud I am sorry that the meds have not worked well for your husband. That has to be very disappointing and frustrating. I had heard about the vitamin B-12 connection with this disease and I know my SM does have my dad take that. I haven't talked to her about his meds at all. I don't feel welcome to do so, but I suppose that is just my fear and she probably would like the help in fact did ask me to help research some info on a drug, which I did some, but could not find definite answers, so never got back with her. It seemed to me she might have read something about side effects that I couldn't find.

I can certainly see the concern as your husbands memory seems to be slipping more. Let us know if things improve after stopping the drugs. I DO know that being on a drug of some kind DOES help to slow the progress of the disease which is why I pushed for my dad to see a specialist. If the progress can be slowed, that gives some extra time of better memory, then it is probably worth it. I don't even know if my dad went up on his dosage or not...if he did not, then the amount he is taking won't even help, it was just a low sample dose to see how he tolerated it.

I am glad you brought it up, I have been so consumed my my life, I have kind of forgotten to help with my dad's.

so for an update on me: I have been doing the Metabolism Miracle Diet for the past 2 weeks. I feel a bit better and have lost 2 pounds. I believe it is the diet I need to help my health, so am willing to hang in there for now.

I did decide to get a event recorder heart monitor deal from the Dr. They called aug 10 and had one available. SO I have the thing here. I can remove it and shower, etc. I press a button when I feel my heart things going on. I did have a weird thing happen....the lady in charge wasn't there when I got mine and the lady who did it, got some things wrong. She set it up to go off automatically and record an "event" that the monitor picks up on its own. Now, I had the thing go off last week when I laid down to go to bed...yep, by itself. I had been praying just then that if there was something to find out, God would make it happen before I had to give this thing back. It went off, by itself....right then when I was just laying there doing nothing else. Later my husband told me he too had been praying at that time.

I called and talked to the lady in charge and we downloaded the 2 events on the machine. She reprogrammed it not to go off again by itself... I was SO excited they had gotten something abnormal, well not that I'm abnormal, but that I now don't feel stupid for going in and spending the money and seeing a cardiologist.

I had a bad night night last week with my heart feeling crazy alot. I had a hard time deciding which strange feeling to record on the heart monitor because there is a limit of 7 and I had used 2 during that day. I ended up not using the last one because I was saving it for the really obvious symptom that never came. I called and downloaded it and the lady wouldn't tell me anything...she isn't supposed to say what shows up but just said "be sure to press the button any time you feel something isn't right with your heart"........ obviously something showed up because before she did tell me everything was normal. so now I'm freaked out slightly, but I figured if they don't have me come in right away, it must not be too serious. I see the dr for a follow up on Tuesday.
I am trusting the Lord for this. If they want more tests, we could be in a world of financial hurt.

PRAYER REQUEST ~ for my cousin's grand-daughter, AUBREY S. ~ she's around 18-months old; Aubrey was bitten in the face and hand by a dog a week ago. The right side of her face is swollen quite badly. They are concerned about infection and of course, scarring; and they think she needs prayer for pain relief and fear (of dogs) as well becuz she has not been able to sleep at night since the incident (and mommy & daddy are getting very tired) ... thanks!
