My stepdaughter even told me that my future son in law even asked her how to pray the other day ...
Now you see, GOD can take a circumstance that is so difficult for us and use it to save someone else; and I know that you would think it was all worth it for this young man to be saved through this, GARY! You have had us praying for him; and now GOD is using your illness & his love for you, to reach him ...
Plus in our local paper this week, a lady said that her mother's passing last May, has forced her to face the reality of her own mortality. GOD can and will use our suffering & losses, not only to free us, but others too! We serve an awesome GOD people! Praize His Holy Name!
PRAYER REQUEST Please ~ I just found out my Uncle GARNET is in our district hospital (in Timmins, Ontario). Turns out he had pneumonia for some time (and somehow that was missed), and a twisted colon. He was operated on successfully last week (PRZ GOD), but once again has another colostomy; poor guy (third time).
It wouldn't be so bad if they could find a way to keep those dang colostomy bags on. I suggested that they should make the bags twist or snap onto a semi-permanent stick-on base, which could stay on the abdomen for 1-3+ months at a time. Then they could just twist off the bags and throw them away when they are full. I wonder how something like that could be invented???
Especially since the nurses here refuse to help the patients change the bags; seems they think it's too above them even though they make 25+ dollars an hour. Right now, the bags fall off all the time; and pull the patients skin off when they are changed and that is terribly painful. I know I watched my mother go through this for over 17 years before she passed away.
Well friends, let's pray about this; for both my UNCLE GARNET, and some new clip-on or twist-off colostomy bags for all future patients. After all, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD, right? Right! Thanks so much ...
