Me again! Doing bowel prep for barium enema tom... to much fun, great news though, surgery moved up to May 30th due to cancellation on someone elses and Jim was got up to sit in a chair for a little while today, improving everyday! Well gotta go, will keep ya posted... See ya!
My Oldest Son Adam is in jail he wreaked my car. He took it last night and drove it up to his brothers house to work on it. He put it in a ditch last week and broke a fan blade tip. Well today they were on their way to Auto Zone to get parts when he hit the brakes on a curve and they failed and he ran the car into a utility pole and knocked down some wires. They fled the scene and a witness who saw the accident reported it and my car plates. Long story short Adam was arrested for driving while suspended and he was also on parole for drinking and driving charges. I talked to him before the police got there and again he threaten to kill himself, he swore it. Over the last two weeks he has been doing that. Please I need the group to help me pray for Adam, he keeps threatening to take his own life. He feels he is hopeless. I have been praying and crying out to God all night. He has been very combative and took a huge chefs knife and put it to his throat and screamed he was going to kill himself 3x's. Later I walked into his room and he was sitting on his bed crying with a knife sitting by his side. I held him and told him everything is going to be alright. I love him so much. I know Jesus loves him more! There seems to be nothing I can do or say to convince him I love him and Jesus loves him. The devil is a liar!! I pray that Adam will open up his heart to Jesus. I pray Jesus gives him a Saul to Paul conversion or any thing he wants to do. I did try to talk him into letting me take him to the hospital for help, but he refuses, since he has no insurance.
He is in jail now. I just don't know how he is going to behave when he gets out. He is angry and sounded violent. He desperately needs a Saul to Paul conversion. I seem to be unable to reach him, but I serve a Mighty God who does know how and if this is part of His plan then so be it. I did call the Mentel Health Hospital and they are going to send someone in tomm. to have him assesed. He does have some issues with bi-polar disorder and ADD. He is supposed to be on medications for it but has not. My Son Daniel says my car is HIT! Meaning totaled! Love in Christ, Gwyn The devil has done everything in his power to get me to dive into food for comfort, but I AM TELLING YOU , I HAVE BEEN DELIVERED ! I AM FREE FROM THE SIN OF GLUTTONY! PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. PRAISE GOD!!
Oh yes and Praise God Sue for the good news you have been getting. It is good to hear that your husband is recovering so nicely too!NemesisClaws I am so sorry to read about your dear Brother. That would be very hard to deal with. And you are right God will do it. He is the reason we hope, live and breath. Hello to everyone else too! I love you all so dearly! I am so glad the Lord led me to you all! I need you all! You may never know how much I apprecaite each and everyone of you! Love in Christ, Gwyn
Well, I had good intentions when I posted to the last Christian Encouragers thread, but my computer wasn't very reliable. Anyway, I should be more prepared to participate now. I got a new comp because I'm going back to school starting next week.
I got way off of plan, and I'm still having a hard time making it to Curves, but I will make the time and I am back on plan. (Even though I had to go back to Phase 1 of SBD.) I also got a new part time job to jockey for my time, so my schedule is a bit full. I just pray that God gives me the grace, strength, and fortitude to see all these goals through to the end. I know He can and I praise him for already working in my life.
Anyway, I'll have to read the backlog as I have time, right now my eight year old is getting a new bed. I'll try to post a pic of my girls sometime soon. Meanwhile off to assemble bed.
NemisClaws - just read your post. Was your brother having trouble, was this coming on and he was aware of the possibility thathe was facing deafness? I know it is a really scary time for him as it would be for anybody. You and the family will be a good support for him if and when he is ready to lean on you. I will be glad to pray for this situation. Thanks for sharing with us!
Sue - Gosh your surgery will be a done deal almost before you know it! With all the "prep" involved you will really be ready for it to be over! How long will you be in the hospital and "out of commission"? You know we will be waiting, holding our breath to hear from you!! God's speed in recovery, Girl!
Gwyn - I'm so sorry about Adam, the wreck and the other events. Adam, you and the family will be in my prayers - You know God may just turn these "bad" happenings into the miracle of salvation - new lives and new directions!. The bi-polar disorder brings such wide swings of moods, Gwyn that was quick thinking to call mental health to check on Adam while they have him where he can not get away, so that is a good thing!
Gwyn, keep your eyes on Jesus and lean into His strength. Praise God you are not under the slave master but are under the Lord of great compassion and grace!
Amanda, welcome back! Your season of life is so very busy and rushed, all the time! Just sit back and look at that bed, maybe get some pictures of everybody piled onto it. Tomorrow will be here quickly and you will have a fun memory to pull out and remember!
Remembering you all in prayer!
I have praise today for an awesome God who ... inspite of my terrible family history has provided me with eviable health! I had a physical this week and ACED it. It was soooo good, I was just ecstatic ... still am.
In summary, we were talking about blood pressure and my siblings (I was in a bit of disbelief) and she scrolled back to my diet and exercise history (on her computer) pointed with a pen and said "This is why".
So my prayer request is for anyone who even momentarily thinks they'd like to be healthier today, to eat less and move more today ... and enjoy it.
Hi Ladies ~ I am leaving shortly for the wedding festivities...I don't have time to post much but I have read and will pray for everyone, especially Gwen and "my" partner in crime (wink) Aunt Sue...just ...Sue to the rest of you...
Have a great Memorial week-end..Pray for our troops!
I called the jail last night to be sure they put Adam on watch and they promised they would. I also called Park Center mental health emergency and talked to them and set it up with them to go to the lock up and assess Adam for in-patient care in the morning. I called early this morning about 5:00am to check on him and they told me that they had released him during the night on his own recommence! Well he went to court this morning and they told him he has to get a better job and pay more fines or go to jail for 2 years. So He just got dropped off here. He went into his room and there he sits. We are car less now and live in Woodburn which might as well be Timbuktu, Since it is so far from the city and there is certainly no city busses coming clear out here in the country. We are over 10 miles from anywhere! I just MUST> MUST>MUST> TRUST >JESUS IN ALL OF THIS! Well this is my update for now. Thank you for your prayers. In all this strife, termoil and trouble, I have stayed the course!!! I HAVE NOT FALLEN AND GOD HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME AND FAITHFUL! ALL OF THIS HAS A PURPOSE. I believe that He will work all things together for the GOOD! Because I love Him and I am called according to His purpose! LOVE In Christ, Gwyn
Gwyn, all that you said sounds so discouraging, but hold on to Jesus and continue to seek Him through this. He does not do things the way we would. Remember, He knows the "rest of the story". Keep Adam lifted to the Maker, the Savior. Trust Him that He has a plan just for Adam. Sometimes our God has to let us hit rock bottom before we will turn our eyes to Him or even have an ounce of interest in Him. (That is especially hard on the loved ones as well as the one Christ is reaching out to - but it will be accomplished in His timing) Hang tough, Friend. Trust, trust your Lord. And Gwyn, you can turn these words on me when I am facing a crisis - and I say this in love and all the support I can give - You know food is not your comfort, only Jesus Christ is, so keep your eyes on Him. Go to His Word and "eat" and "drink" from His Living Waters!
Your friends here are praying.
Gwyn: I just want you to know that I am lifting you and your family - especially your son up to God in prayer. May your son find the peace he is seeking. Love to you in this difficult time. I agree with Elizbennet that God has a plan for him and He will see it through. Hang in there.
HI EVERYONE ~ ~ What a glorious day we had; the sun was shining and the temperatures were a perfect 73F. Every day of life that we get to live is a privilege and a blessing. Every morning and night, I thank GOD for another day!

GARY ~ have a wonderful time at your daughter's wedding.
AMANDA ~ glad you got a new PC; my newer one arrived this week too; haven't got it set up yet (have to find a place for it ~ LOL!) Good for you for keeping your focus on the future; half the success in life is keeping our attitudes in positive mode!
May we all learn to leave the past behind, and look forward to a bright and happy future ~ I Thess 5:16-18 (be joyful always; pray without ceasing; and in everything, be thankful).
As always, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend; we all have been blessed beyond measure and have a lot to be thankful for! Take good care of yourselves ~ your fellow encourager ... ROSEBUD.

Oh thank you all so much for your love and kindness to me. Thank you for your prayers and for all the Love of God that is so evident in all your post's! May you all be blessed more then you could ever dream, hope or even imagine! GUESS WHAT??? I went for my walk and I walked exactly 1/2 mile pushing my wheelchair. While Ceaser(no not a bunny rabbit, but my new dog) pulled lightly on his leash and Hubby pushed my oxygen tank!!!! I am soooooooooooooooooo HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!! of course I had to stop and rest a few times, but we made it, to the GLORY OF GOD!He is the one who encouraged me to do it. I felt Him urging me to try and I kept thinking, no way! I can't do that! I weigh, way to much to go that far! But then He (Jesus) would show me the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth! What is that you may ask? The TRUTH was... I didn't want to do it! So when I got to my turning point to head back home and complete my 2/10's of a mile. I just kept plodding on, at 1st I felt, oh no, this is going to be too far! I'll never make it! It's going to be too hard for me.But He would encourage me with HIS WORD! IE: I can do all things through Christ. It was wonderful, soon before I knew it I was almost home! Adam and I talked for a while this eveing, I tried to encourage him to cry out to the Lord from whom all blessing flow. I believe in my heart that he will. And God will save him and help him. I love you all! Thanks for reading my thread and posts. Please feel free to comment anytime. I love company. God Bless You! Love in Christ, Gwyn
You know, this thread has been a real blessing sometimes. Just pouring out your story and receiving support, and keeping faith when sometimes it feels like you have none. Thanks again everyone for your words and support!
elizbennet: We are predominately a deaf family, but my older brother has had normal hearing for years. However, since he lives overseas working on a military base, we don't communicate all that much and when we do, his replies are usually very short. Thus, it was a bit out of the blue that we finally got a long email from him in which he explained that he was now deaf and asking for help. Being deaf is not the end of the world, as there are worst health issues out there. It's just harder for someone who had normal hearing to go deaf to deal with it than it is for myself who has been born deaf. We believe he lost his hearing due to being around artillery and airplanes (since he hated earplugs), and with it being a propensity in the family for deafness, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
EZMONEY: have fun at the wedding!
doitforme: prayers with you and yours!
Gwyn: Prayers with you and your son! Take it one day at a time! No matter what, he knows you love him, so keep telling him that. I've learned from different situations with family members that when you've got nothing left, sometimes it's the love of yourself and God that gets through. You're doing great!
NemesisClaws - Hey, thanks for the reply. I'll sure keep your family in my prayers. Now, for something a little less serious. What is NemesisClaws ?
EZ - It's beautiful weekend for a wedding! And it will be a beautiful wedding too!
Sue - prayers continue for you and Jim.
Rosebud - You are absolutely right - every day counts BIG, praise the Lord!
This week my boys are attending middle school camp as leaders - please pray for the 145 young people attending as God does a mighty work!
Elizbennet:Amen to the mighty work! God is able and willing! So happy, happy your Dear Son is too! That is wonderful news!
NemesisClaws: you are so right about nothing left but Love! Thank GOD that HE IS LOVE! That is where we are right now! We have very little earthly possions, I live in a 26 year old $3,000.00 mobile home, My earnings and total income equells $600.00 for an entire month! My husband lost his job last October, and now my Son who lives with us, has lost his job because he wrecked our only tranportation. So now we are car less to boot! 10 miles from anywhere! So as far as the world is concerned we are dirt poor. But I am here to tell you and the whole wide world, that I have been saved by LOVE and I would not trade that for all the gold and riches this old world has to offer! I have lived in the lap of luxuary before and I am living in utter poverty, but I am RICH, RICH, RICH in LOVE> THE LOVE OF GOD!God will see us through this and I will remain standing on The ROCK. One day I will hear Him say, Well done my good and faithful servant. This is my hearts desire.
Gary: Hope that was the most wonderful wedding you have ever been too! Your own Child's, I know it was. Hope you are recovering with many beautiful and precious memories to carry in your heart for all of eternity!
SusanB: That is wonderful, great NEWS about your physical going so well! Good health is a blessing! Keep up the good work taking care of that temple of the HOLY SPIRIT! He so apprecaites it when we don't trash His temple, and respect it and care for it. You have been a wonderful example of that to us and I thank you SusanB. To God Be The Glory!
PheonixRising: It is good to see you back! So BACK! You are loved and you were missed too! Keep on Keeping on girl.
doitforme: Glad you are getting to see your dreams come true! Prayers for you and your hubby!
Willma: Thank you for all your prayers, Love and support! You are a valued sparkleing treasure of GOD and I apprecaite you!
Rosebud: I love you and thank you so much for inviteing me to come and join this thread! I have been so blessed! Blessed by all of your kindness, Love and Support. You always point to Jesus and that is who and what it is all about!
