I did 5 miles in 1 hour, 7 min and 12 seconds.......that's a 13 minute mile done 5 times in a row !!!!!
Then I cooled off for half mile. I feel great to be walking like I did in my 30's. I'm 52 now, and still challenging myself to speed up just a tad each lap :-)
I dug out my heart rate monitor and wore it for my walk today. I did an hour in my 75-80% zone. I haven't worn it in a while, today I felt like goofing off more than walking cuz it was a beautiful chilly fall day - so I used it to keep me on track rather than daydreaming during my fitness walk time.
It worked out great. I'm so proud of me for my efforts.
