Hi everybody!

Thursday: jogging 30 minutes, still sluggish and my knee is aching a little. I'll buy new shoes and see if it improves.
Friday: planned weightlifting, 35 minutes program.

I have an appointment with an instructor at the gym on Tuesday, and will then start to do weightlifting at the gym instead of at home. I'm looking forward to it and feel a bit anxious at the same time. I haven't been very found of gyms in the past - but I'm ready to try again.

Angie - sounds good that you're trying to improve your cardio and work out at a higher intensity. How was it to work out on Sunday? Were you very tired from your workout on Saturday? I think you're right, and that it's all about figuring out what works for you.
I like to do cardio in the morning too (jogging)!

Have a nice day!

Plan to swim today. That will be 4 days in a row. today I should be getting in more laps as my swim buddy isn't going to be there. We usually do about 20 minutes of laps going the width of the pool then we kind of hang out down there treading water while chatting for another 20 minutes then back to getting in a few more laps till lessons are done and we are joined by our kids.

I took a break. So shoot me. Actually let's see, I was gone for what, 3 days? The first day I was cleaning LITERALLY all day. From when I woke up until late that night. So I guess that's enough. The next day I felt like crap, so I was lazy. The next day was just a busy day with my therapist, family stuff, and other miscellaneous errands we had to run. But lo and behold today, here I am! Back and better than ever. I've lost another pound, YAY. Anyway, here's what I did today.
-Dance Aerobics Video (i'm tellin ya, this is fun stuff)
-Swimming....twice actually. For about, um, an hour and a half in all.
-Crunches and leg lifts
I might do another tape or something later. Ta!

Hi guys!

Ang – how great that you’re losing weight and enjoying your exercise! Congratulations on the 3 stones! Good that it keeps you motivated to work out too.
atrae – cleaning *is* exercise as far as I’m concerned! Congratulations on losing another pound!
Janine – I know what you mean about exercise buddies. It’s very nice to have somebody to exercise with, but it cuts down on the workouts sometimes. As long as you’re alternating – swimming both alone and with your buddy, you’ll probably get the best of both?

I’m having a quiet weekend. I did weightlifting on Friday, and will do that again Monday. For the weekend there’ll just be indoors cleaning and painting – and as I said, that totally counts as exercise! Maybe a hike on Sunday, we’ll see.

I’ve bought new running shoes – so I’m hoping the jogging will get a bit easier next week.
Have great weekends everybody!
