You guys are doing great! I hope I can make it that far!
Today was W1D2.
I really enjoy the mp3s to help me along. It's so nice to not have to look at my watch (which I don't wear anyway). I can just concentrate on the workout fully instead of the time.
I usually run at the local Jr. College track. However, the football field and track were in use yesterday. So, I worked out at the park in my neighborhood. Hills is part of my neighborhood name. So, I really pushed myself jogging up hills. W4 was challenging. However, I pushed myself a little more. I had to stop once and walk about 10 secs of one of my runs. But, overall, I think I really pushed it. I really worked up a sweat!
YAY me! But, I think I'm going back to flat land on Thursday. LOL
Whoohoo!!! I did the correct W5D2 today - 8/5/8. It was a struggle but every time I told myself "I can't finish 8 minutes. I can't..." I followed it with "Oh yes I can!" Eight minutes. Eight WHOLE minutes. May not be much to someone else but to me it's huge right now! I'm not sure what I'll do on Friday if I will repeat today or if I will try for 20 minutes.
Congrats to everyone that's been posting. You all rock!
W4D1! I stuck to my slow-but-comfortable running speed, and the 5-minute segments were tough but not too hard. My lungs/heart seemed fine, actually, like I could run a few more minutes if I needed to... but my legs were dead by the end.
Me_Amarie, I used your suggestion, and I didn't have any shin pain! I seem to pay attention to everything BUT my stride (keeping my hands loose, breathing just right, keeping my arms low) so this was an easy way to keep my bounciness in check. Thanks!

8 minutes - wow! To me that is forever LOL! You are doing great!
Heya all! W4D2 tonight! Yeehaw! I had to sprint twice to catch lights, and one time had to slow to a walk after to get my heart rate down (maybe 10 second) but then I picked up and kept running! It was tougher tonight, but still doable!
Mayness - I'm so glad it worked for you too! on your run!
I was going to do the last day of Week4 today, but decided not to go to the gym- yesterday was supposed to be my off day but I got my new Heart Rate Monitor and had to try it out- lol- so I ended up doing a step DVD- so I am taking today off and doing C25K tomorrow instead of spinning--I am getting so addicted to all of this that I forget to take a day off!
I did W4D1 today. I slowed down the pace a little for the first day: walk at 3.0 mph and run at 5.5 mph. I think for D2 I will walk at 3.5 and run at 5.5. It didn't seem too bad, but it was definitely a little bit harder than week 3 for me.
W5D3 this morning! Twenty minutes, kids. Whoohoo!!!
OK, yeah, I'm a class A dork but TWENTY minutes. :-) I started at 6.0 mph and at about half way I had to drop to 5.5mph. I must admit I 'cheated' for about 15 seconds by resting on the handrails of the treadmill but my feet never stopped moving :-)
I haven't even looked at W6 yet but I'm ready for Sunday!
