GettinFit, it is so nice to hear from you, as always! There sure can be bumps in the road sometimes and oh boy can it be challenging, bravo to you for posting! I have found that lack of sleep is one of my triggers, I just want to eat everything the next day! lol . I have not gotten used to the time change either yet, I think I am finally starting to get in sync, jeesh! Today was nice but it is still generally cold or damp here but with todays milder temperatures I just know its coming soon which makes me nervous in a way! Happy but nervous, if that makes any sense.
That is so awesome that you made it to your WW appt. despite a tough week, I commend you! Don't beat yourself up, we all may be bound to hit some potholes on the way. I am pretty tired, I did accomplish a lot here and that feels good but still have a lot to do. Tomorrow we have a brunch planned. Your dinner looks awesome, brush off the past and try to keep your positive attitude..for that is what hold us together. I have clearly seen that when you put your mind to something you can accomplish anything! Jeesh, me too but sometimes it's so hard I know! Oh well, let's keep plugging forward. Much love, weekend
Weekend Boater: Thanks so much for your words of encouragement It means so much to me! I don't know why I let this happen. I was cruising along and once I started eating junk food I just can't seem to get a grip. Today has to be the day that I am100% OP for the entire day. I also have to get in some form of exercise. I don't want to show a gain when I have my WW weigh in on Friday. Last week I avoided weighing in so I have to this week.
sgregg: I hope all is going well with you.
Today's Log
B: Greek yogurt, coffee w/creamer, strawberries
L: Salad w/shrimp and Lite Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing, WW bar
D: Healthy Choice, WW bar

I hope all is going well with you two. I finally had a complete OP day yesterday. It was tough but with prayer and determination, I made it through the entire day. Today is also off to a good start as well.
Weekendboater & sgregg: I hope all is good with you I miss you all.
I'm working on day 3 of being back in control. Yesterday I got in a 25 minute walk and plan on doing a little more today. I just want to get back in the zone I was in back in January and part of February. Warm weather is just around the corner and I so want to be a little more in shape when I shed the sweaters & jackets.
Taking it one meal at a time!
B: coffee w/sugar free syrup, skim milk, orange, RF cheese
L: Bean soup, 2 Andes Mints
D: Meat, cucumber salad, WW bar
S: orange, apple
Exercise: Walk
GettinFit, OMG girl! I have not even been into my p.c lately, so nice to come in and get your news and bravoooo That is so awesome that you got right back to it and day 3 of OP? I don't know why either sometimes it just happens but getting back to it is what is paramount and you did it and are doing it! Keep on your beautiful track. I am so sorry I have not written the past few days, I didn't even log in. Oh dear lord, it has been crazy with appt. and this and that and so much going on but I will spare you from that. FOr that is life and I know that I have to learn to deal. It started Saturday with a brunch and then ohhh I had a big family dinner Monday and I could go on and on. I didn't go on the scale after knowing I would just get depressed but I finally did today and seeing I was up 2 lbs . which honestly I was pleasantly surprised after all this stuff! I am not, by any means, giving up and am planning to start a cleanse diet come Friday!
It is so good to hear your news and you have no idea how elated I am to hear that you are back OP and doing so fabulous and are shining the way I know you can! bravo! Keep at it girl! I am still with you! WE have the sis in law coming tomorrow and then Friday I plan a cleanse diet with cabbage and fruits just for a little bit, I need it right now! One day at a time! I will be coming and checking and posting in whenever I can, promised! keep up the great work! Your on a roll again and you can do this and I love to do it with you! Hugssssssss Let's stick together okay? OMg what you said about shedding the sweaters and this and that ay ay ay LOl It is so true! Wishing us a good night and onto an new good day we go tomorrow! Keep up that great OP babe, your doing fantastic!!!!!!!
Sounds like you have had lots of food challenges lately and a 2 pound gain is not bad. I hope your visit with your sis in law was good. How is your DH's sight doing? I hope there has been progress. Yes, this journey is not an easy one but we can be successful as long as we don't give up. Your cleanse sounds like a good thing.
I am so addicted to junk food that once I get started, that's all she wrote. I have been trying really hard this week and even though I've not been perfect, it has been much better and I have been able to say NO to some things. Yesterday I even forced myself to go walk at Stone Mountain after work. It seems that it's easier for me to avoid binging and junk food when I walk on a regular basis. This morning the scale even dropped 2 pounds from yesterday. I'm hoping that I show a loss at WW today. Today I also plan to pull out my Beck Diet Solution book as that book always seem to help me.
Hi GettinFit So nice to come in and get your news! I have definitely been more active and barely log but I am sleepy today on this very rainy day and just want a chill day after all the hub a bub! I am free for the night and don't have an appt. until tomorrow morning.
The visit with sis in law was nice, I didn't overeat but it certainly is not stuff on my plan. DH is the same, his eyesight has not gotten better or worse. We have appts. booked for the end of march and first week of April so it's going to continue to be quite busy and I need to find time inbetween then to show this place and also start painting upstairs. I am relieve his eyesight has not worsened and we will see what they when we go, thanks for asking and I will keep you posted.
It sounds like you h ave been doing much better this week and making a real effort and that is great! I hear you on triggers! I don't know what it is but every time I break my schedule and go for lunch (I am not a lunch person, I eat a very light lunch) for some dang reason it throws me off course...........every time! Bravo for going for your walk on stone mountain. I am not doing formal exerices as of yet (just a lot more active) but what I can ay is when I did and do formal exercise it creates this chain reaction and I definitely do better!! Different times work better for everyone and that is fine but for me if I do it in the morning or afternoon before dinner it seems to set the course for my day and I feel as though I succeeded on that front and it make me that more intent on succeeding on the food part as well! I totally get what your saying!
Yay on the scale dropping 2 lbs. today! Pulling out your Beck book sounds great too! Oh, I did not start the cleanse today, now it's pushed off until Sunday! Yeap! POuring, appt. and this and that and I just blew it off quite frankly. I have an appt. tomorrow morning and then I really haveeeeeeee to go after that and get the stuff for Sunday. It's just far too easy to get lost. I agree with what you said about that we don't fail if we don't give up. Sounds like your making progress and that is great, let's keep trucking! I too, have to get my darn tail over there tomorrow to get my stuff. I will try to rest tonight and I will keep you posted as to how it goes. I want NOTHING in this house except for OP things once the officiated cleanse starts. TGIF and I wish you a great weekend. Let's hang in there and keep at it and lest we not forget the month is not over yet! Thanks for writing, a pleasure to read your news...as always! Hugs Boater
Good morning, ladies! I am so sorry that I have been MIA. Spring Break came and went and then a week of getting back in the routine at work. We had grades due, so I've been working on that plus my regular teaching stuff and it's all I can do to get in bed by 10pm. I have not even had a chance to work on my grad class stuff effectively. I say effectively because I would try to sit down and watch the lectures or read the discussion questions and I'd be zoning out within a minute. So, I'd close it up and just go to bed. So, I have today to get all my work done for this past week. So, I'm doing a quick check in and then I'll be working on that until it's done.
GettinFit, I'm so glad that you are getting back on track. It sure is hard to stay focused 100% of the time. The most important thing is getting back on track, and you have done that! Plus, warmer weather will have us up and about and moving more. I've been trying to get in a walk every other day...I walked after dinner one day this week, and then while my youngest daughter had t-ball practice. It was so nice and my body appreciated it.
Boater, I am happy to see that you have been posting even when we are not. Keep at it!...we can do this! Eating with family is so hard for me. No-one has keto-friendly foods around here most of the time. We had a textbook presenter bring us lunch yesterday....sandwiches....I don't eat bread. I ate one anyway and felt horrible afterwards. I could hardly stay awake while they were presenting the textbook! Bad choice for me! Tell me more about this cleanse diet. I don't usually eat fruit because of the sugars, but sometimes I feel like my body could use a reset.
My diet has been okay. I had a cheat day yesterday and I felt horrible that afternoon. So, I need to remember that feeling for the future when I feel like I need to cheat again. I really do not need to eat the sugars. They really do make me feel awful. So, this morning, I have had eggs, bacon, some pimento cheese (with my eggs), and coffee with heavy cream. I did not add any kind of sweeteners. I'm going to fight the urge all day and just eat clean, simple foods.
Hi ladies So nice to hear from you both. This is a quickie for now, so much going on here. I did make it to the market the other day to get my ingredients and boy did I have to push myself but was happy once I did!
We do still have a whole week left so that is good! sgreeg I totally know what you mean about the bread! As for the fruit, I got low sugar fruits...mainly melons. I do love cantaloupe and it's low sugar but I like it ripe and tasty of course. I got a personal size melon as well. Oranges are good too! It sounds like you have been so busy as well and doing so much. Your grad class stuff is important and with all going on I hope that you find time for that, I know that things can just throw a money wrench our way sometimes, keep at it!
I will write more when I can. I just wanted to touch base. Miss you gals and hope your well and I will keep an eye out for your posts and also check back soon! Much love, Boater
Good morning! Just checking in this week. It’s been a few days. I saw a new low on the scale this morning!
Boater, melons sound good right now!
I did a ton of movement yesterday. I walked yesterday during recess and I also walked at my youngest DD’s tball practice. My Fitbit said I did over 14,000 steps! I am sore today (lol), so I’m going to take it easy today and try to get a good walk in on Thursday.
FYI: If you are trying to cut back on your sugar, try sukrin as a substitute. You can find it on amazon. I use sukrin icing for my coffee and other dessert-like recipes. They have a brown sugar substitute and a granulated one. I find that it’s not bitter like stevia leaf extract stuff.
GettinFit, I hope you are doing well. We are rooting for you! Don’t lose sight and stay focused!
Hope you both have a wonderful day and next few days if I don’t check in until then.
I'm back in town and back to being 100% OP. I hope you ladies are doing well and are off to a great start in April. I don't think I posted that I'd be away for a while. I went to FL last week to visit my parents. I did pretty good with my weight loss program while I was there. I didn't gain any weight. I wasn't 100% OP but I tried to watch how much I ate and to get more activity.
sgregg: Way to go on getting in 14,000 steps! That is an awesome accomplishment!
Boater: I hope all is well with you. I promise to post more this month.
I am motivated to keep it going. I'm hoping to be down a couple pounds by my WW weigh in on Friday.
You ladies have a wonderful Tuesday.
Today's Plan
B: Apple, Cheese stick, coffee w/creamer
L: Smart one, WW bar
S: Orange, WW Bar
D: Healthy Choice, WW bar, coffee w/creamer
Exercise: Walk
Another good day yesterday but still slacking on the exercise. The pollen has been too bad to get out and walk but today I will either walk in the parking deck at work or do a DVD.
Ladies if you're checking, I hope you have a great day!
Today's log
B: Cappuccino, Greek yogurt, banana
L: Healthy Choice, WW bar
D: Tuna, 10 RF Club Crackers, Cucumber
S: apple
Exercise: Walk or DVD
Good evening ladies finally checking in in what seems like forever for me! I miss you guys! I need to stick with posting with you all. Just stuff happened, as we said that's life. Dad caught pneumonia buttttt he is doing well! We went into Boston today, it is always so tiring at those appointments! Basically it is extremely rare his eye will get worse now and also rare it will hit the other eye. As for the damage done, well...there has been some damage but like the doc said , he is not a prophet. I wont carry on. We are fortunate it did not affect his central vision more and he can legally drive etc. We went to eat after and that was nice.
I have to start painting again and have a whole apt. to paint! As far as my plan, I have been hanging there. I did not lose any additional weight in March but managed to maintain the loss I had in January and February (7+3 lbs). I have not given up by a long shot , nor shall I! I did change my schedule a bit and add some more fruit and well............ I am keeping at it ladies and I really want this so badly. I have a HUGE big thing to attend the first week of May, I want to feel well for that as well as for the season in general.
sgregg, that is awesome! Congrats on your steps! I watch my sugar intake as well, OMG, and what don't I watch? lol even the old rice cakes are axe'd now due to high GI, lol. Oh well! I will definitely keep the sukrin in mind, ty so much for sharing! I hope that all is going great and I taketh you will have summer break soon?
GettinFit, wb! I so hope that you had a wonderful time with your parents and I think that is great that you were able to maintain. I hope that you had a wonderful trip, I so want to promise the same thing (about posting more) and I honestly feel bad when I don't! I am going to try too! I want it as well! I am motivated to keep it up and still going at it as well! Oh I am checking! lol and bravo for keeping at it! Keep kicking it GettinFit! April 5 tomorrow, we still have the whole month! I am so glad I came in, I am still trying very hard and but.....I need to come in so I too promise to try and post more!
Much love to you both, I wish us all a successful month! day by day!!! It feels so good when I come in and post and hear your news! xoxoxo
Weekend Boater: It was nice to read your post. I'm glad that your Dad is doing better and that your DH is better. It's nice that he will still be able to drive. Great job on maintaining your weight during the month of March. I went up 2 pounds for the month but I WILL get that plus more off this month. I like this time of the year when spring is in the air and I'm usually very motivated to stay OP.
sgregg: I hope you're doing well.
My plan for today:
B: Dannon 80 Greek yogurt, banana, tea
L: Salad w/shrimp, balsamic vinaigrette dressing, WW bar
D: Lean Cuisine, watermelon
S: pear, coffee w/creamer
Exercise: Walk
