Jacqui D don't you hate it when you get close to a mini goal and then it starts going up and back down and staying within a half pound of the goal - that has happened to me several times and it is aggravating :/
I really did post yesterday -- just didn't make it to this thread! I got all discombobulated as I changed my ticker and profile to reflect that I'm working on my next 5-lb goal, the third since the beginning of the year.

Leah, I think it's great that you know what you want in a gem (and moissanites are lovely), and you're not letting any saleperson who's obviously paid on commission talk you out of it!
SusieKay, CONGRATS on reaching ONEderland! 199! As for Carb Day, I am on a diet that is not a low-carb/ketosis diet but is a slow-carb/low glycemic index diet. Typically I avoid foods like bread, cereal, rice, grains, pasta, potatoes, starchy foods, and sweets (aka craving-causing, blood sugar-spiking, quick-burning carbs), but one day a week, called Carb Day, I can eat anything I want as much as I want. I try not to go "crazy" on that day since I have to go right back to slow-carb eating the next day, but if I want to go "all out," I'm allowed (and sometimes I do)! I usually gain between .5 and 2.5 lbs in water weight on Carb Day, because for every gram of carbohydrate that the body converts and stores as glycogen to burn for energy, it also stores 3 grams of water. Because it is just water and not fat, however, the weight usually comes back off in a couple of days and I continue to lose. That's how the Slow Carb Diet is designed. So that's the Slow Carb Diet, and Carb Day, in a nutshell, lol!

As for me, my weight stayed the same today! I was expecting that since I was pretty sore and achy after yesterday's workout, so I figured I might hold onto water.
Jacqui, thanks for the information! Very interesting, and I will read up on this method. Low carb-ers like me could certainly use a planned carb day; just concerned about getting back to the diet after that. I've generally been eating low carb for years, just having too many carb days in between! Appreciate your explanation!!!
Jacqui I hate when your scale seems to sense your goals and then decides to be mean. You're going to make it soon enough. Remember how stubborn Onederland was, but you made it.
Today is a lazy day. I'm feeling under the weather again. Just a couple more weeks until I can start getting my B12 shots and hopefully I'll start feeling better. I think I used what little energy my body has these past few days helping to set up the store that my body just doesn't have any left. That and TOM round 2 doesn't help either. But I'm going to curl up in bed, recoup my energy, and relax.
Well I am having a hard time readjusting from vacation. I was really bummed about being laid off in the manner I was especially seeing as we have a lot of wedding expenses that will be paid soon. Then TOM came Sunday and this week as just been crazy. So, I have been job hunting and trying to catch up on things around the house while I have time and doing a lot of thinking. So as berryblondes calls it, I'm rebooting this journey and doing it with a bang to. I'm so far behind with personals, I'd be sitting here for the day trying to catch up. Really proud of you guys though. Everyone is doing an amazing job! In any case, I gotta get off here and get to work. I have cardio to get in and I am going to tackle my desk area today. Since I'm no longer working from home, I figure I can try reorganize this mess. So, I'm gonna get to it. I sure hope you guys have an amazing day.

Wow! I just realized that July is half over. How did that happen? My weight has basically stayed the same all month. I guess I'm maintaining? I need to give my metabolism a jolt. I'll give that some thought today. I have a long list of critical things that I have to get done this summer. I think I'll write it all down and check-mark things off as I get them done. I'm going to call it "my distasteful task list."
Delphi Good luck on your reboot! You can do it! I hope you have fun tackling your desk. Reorganizing is one of my favorite things to do. I have been having a blast cleaning out my closets this week. I love purging junk from the house. It gives me the feeling of a fresh start.

Leah, I have no doubt the 2nd TOM has zapped your energy. But look at you still losing! And oh yes, I remember the teeter-totter I was on before ONEderland. I seem to do it anytime I starting hoping to reach a certain number!

I'm amazed at how well this diet works with my taking a Carb Day each week, but it does! And I hear you on worrying about getting back on track, but I figure if my diet is lenient enough to allow me to have one day every single week in which I can eat anything I want, the least I can do is stick to that! Sometimes if I do go "all out" on Carb Day, I may have to do serious battle with cravings the next day, but I figure that's better than the battle I was having to do with them EVERY DAY before I discovered this diet!

My scale went back up this morning after being between 135 and 134 all week.

Thanks so much Darius, it's my first month so the losses are due to new plan / way of eating on slimming world. So won't see this for the future, but it's been lovely I can't lie.
The support here is amazing too and really appreciate it.
