iDream Congrats and welcome to Onederland! You are awesome! I am inspired!
LovelyLeah Ring shopping is so special. I hope you find the ring you are looking for. Also, good luck at your new job. I hope that transition is smooth for you.
mars You are going to get out of that stall. It will happen.
Jaqui You're doing great!
lovemylife001 I love the optimistic sound of Marvelous Monday. I am going to adopt that name for Mondays.
Purple Congrats on the 5 pound drop!
gardenerjoy Yay! Another post today! You are doing great!
Thanks Lovemylife, Magistra and JaquiD Feels good to be halfway especially as I was being brave chosing 10lb. Truly appreciate the support here and the accountability.
It was weighing-in day for me today, but not great news on the scales
SW - 180
GW - 173
6/7 - 181.8
10/7 - 177.8
13/7 - 178.2
I don't know why I seem to have gone up a bit as I've been completely on plan, I suppose it's just a bit of natural fluctuation. It will teach me to weigh more than once a week; it just doesn't seem to suit me and instead of being pleased with my overall loss for the week I'm in a grump instead!!
Magistra We actually decided to put the ring shopping off until today because we both ended up getting it off and we'd have more time. The transition was extremely smooth since I've worked there before. It's a seasonal job and this will be my 3rd year back. My boss/owner was so excited that I quit my other job and that I'm coming back full time.
SW: 196 (6/30) 7/1 - 195.5 7/2 - 196 7/3 - 198 7/4 - 197.5 7/5 - 196 7/6 - 196 7/7 - 195.5 7/8 - 194.5 7/9 - 194.5 7/10 - 193.5 7/11 - 193.5 7/12 - 193 7/13 - 194.5 - I think it's water weight based on the amount of soreness in my legs!!! Setting up the store has been such a workout. I've moved a few heavy boxes and my thighs are not having it! But based on where the pain is it means I'm finally starting to get the hang of lifting with my legs/knees and not my back. Not even a twinge of pain there. GW: 189.5

Jacqui, thanks for the encouragement! You seem like a really great person! Love the way you interact with everyone.
Magistra, thank you for the compliment! I try to stay positive...nothing worse than putting yourself in a bad mood. Especially when there are plenty of people out there that are more than willing to do it for you!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Didn't have much trouble with the food...it's the alcohol that I have to fight with. Maybe I need some new friends!...ones that don't drink! Happy Monday!

Haninhudds You are doing great!
Purple Congrats on another half pound lost!
EnolaAlone Hugs. You are working hard, so I'm sure that scale will move in the other direction soon. Hang in there. Don't give up!
lovemylife Yay Marvelous Monday!
gardenerjoy Bravo! Those little accomplishments are the best, aren't they?
susiekay I go out with friends to a bar on Tuesday nights just for the swing dancing. I've gotten into the habit of just getting a water. They bring me a bottled water, a glass with ice and a lemon wedge. I don't like drinking my calories so that is how I solved the alcohol problem.
Magistra, thanks, and yay on the scale going down!
SusieKay, aw thanks! When you're young, it's hard not to go out on the weekends and drink socially with friends. I don't think you should trade in the friends, lol, but maybe plan beforehand to switch over to water after a certain number of drinks. Plus, drinking water after drinking alcohol will help you avoid a hangover since hangovers are caused by dehydration!
Yay, Joy! I'm glad posting is helping you! Plus, it's just nice seeing you here each day!
Leah, sounds like a good workout! And that water weight will drop off soon enough so the exercise is definitely worth it!
Lovemylife, always nice to see your cheery greeting, especially on a Monday, lol!
EnolaAlone, it's definitely a natural fluctuation since you've been on plan. You're doing great! But I have to admit, that is exactly why I cannot weigh only once a week. I've tried at different times and I was always so disappointed when I had waited all week and the scale was up on that one weigh-in day because of water weight. Weighing each day, I can see the daily fluctuations and they don't bother me. Somehow it works for me! :
Purple, I'm glad today was brighter for you! Woohoo on another .5 loss!
Thanks for the well wishes, it's my weight loss group slimming worlds weigh in tonight looking forward to it, but first its sports day for my 2 younger children (indoors due to weather).
Enola I agree with Jacqui about weighing in every day versus every week. I understand that for many it helps them to avoid becoming obsessed with the numbers and if that's your case than it's great to avoid daily weigh-ins. For me I like to see the patterns of my daily fluctuations and more data means more information. For example, yesterday I was up 1.5 pounds purely on water weight. I know that it's a side effect of strenuous workout so it doesn't bother me one bit. I know it's water weight because I can look at the days surrounding it and see it doesn't fit with my average. But if I didn't have that information and that was the one day I weighed in I'd be concerned about what the cause was and I'd get more obsessive about my food and exercise.

Ring shopping was fun! I only had to deal with one a**hole salesman. When I told him I was just looking at settings for ideas because I actually wanted a moissanite stone and not a diamond he freaked. He said "we won't touch those here, we only use real diamonds, none of those fake diamond simulants." Oh **** no! I was polite but I cut him off right there. Gemology is a hobby of mine, moissanite is it's own gemstone, it's not like cubic zirconia which is lab created to look specifically like a diamond. Moissanite naturally occurs looking similar, but since they are rarer than diamonds they are synthetically made, and with far more luck and consistency than lab created diamonds. I like my rocks! His attitude was so off-putting that after I explained what I like about moissanites I just thanked him and walked out of the store. If you want your commission their, buddy, you better respect your clients! But other than that we had a lot of luck with some very friendly and accommodating jewelers. It was just day one so we're still going to look around a bit more.
Magistra and Jacqui, thank you so much for the kind words, they are appreciated
Jacqui, it's interesting that you weigh more often to compensate for natural fluctuations, I just can't do that as I get too caught up in it and get a bit obsessed . Overall I've done well so far, I'm on target just about and that's including a weeks holiday, so I am pleased, but because I weighed in the week and I know I was a bit lower I felt really negative yesterday, which is silly really. It's true that if you only weigh weekly it does make weighing day a bit more scary though (I tend to be extremely careful the day before!). I definitely couldn't weigh monthly either, I'd always think there was plenty of time for a week off
I'm a little late posting this cloudy Tuesday morning. I got my workout in early today. I have been doing really good with my water intake, so I'm thrilled about that.
Magistra17 Congrats on the loss
Jacqui on the drop, only place to go is down. And I must agree with Susiekay you are awesome and so welcoming. You are so positive and that's what we need to stay motivated. So thanks for all of your encouragement
Well off for more Enjoy your day everyone!
