I am so pleased with my progress in June (wow, it's gone by fast!) that I'm really excited for July. My goal will be to get into the 180s, so 189.5 is my official goal.

so, i am new to this, how do i join this challenge and track it?
It looks like everyone is just posting what they are going to try and lose in July......if this is the case you can put me down for 10 lbs. do i need to post weight or anything on certain days, im not sure how this works, but i love a challenge and would like to give it a shot :) |

Thank you EnglishMcTeach - Good luck to you too - I have lost weight on the gardenerjoy monthly thread in the past - the pressure of having to perform well for my co-challengers seems to make me put forth an additional effort. Constantly thinking: "I can't eat those potato chips because the friday weigh-in is right around the corner and I'm only half a pound lower than last friday and these chips will put 2 pounds of water on me overnight!" What an eternal struggle, but this forum really works.

Well, I'm probably being overly ambitious as we have a vacation this month, but hey, I managed a four day conference, I can handle vacation, right? Errrr...
So... ten pound goal for me this month. Start weight: 242.4 Goal weight: 232.4 01: 242.6 (+0.2) 02: 242.1 (-0.3) 03: 241.4 (-1.0) 04: 239.8 (-2.6) 05: 239.1 (-3.3) 06: 238.8 (-3.6) 07: 237.1 (-5-3) 08: 236.9 (-5.5) 09: 235.6 (-6.8) 10: 235.2 (-7.2) 11: 234.5 (-7.9) 12: 235.6 (-6.8) was at a party the night before and ate cake - an instant pound gainer when I do that! 13: 234.9 (-7.5) 14: 233.9 (-8.5) reaching 30 pounds lost since the reboot! Woohoo!!! 15: 233.8 (-8.6) yay! I had said NO NO NO to weight loss challenges, but heck....I've been slacking lately and need a glamorous boost!
I'm starting a new job in August and also going to a friend's wedding the last weekend of July. So definitely count me in. 11 lbs (5 kg) is my goal. |
