Thumbs up

10/13:
45 mins strength training
45 mins elliptical
25 mins recumbent cross trainer machine with chest presses
5 mins stair machine
(2 hours total, 4.5 miles done)

I'm so psyched that I joined a challenge at the Y called "4th QUARTER CHALLENGE" where we'll compete on teams. (comparing mins of workouts done at the Y) It goes for the next 3 months (final quarter of 2012.) They'll highlight a different exercise class each week and any participant who takes that class gets to count their minutes for the week as double. Sounds fun and will definitely help keep us accountable. Neat way to try new classes too. My team is sooooo gonna win!

Mon-Sat I have been doing 2 hours on the elliptical. On 8 of Oct I weighed in at 221 and tonight I weighed in at 217.08oz Going to try stair climbing; which I got this idea from another member.

Congratulations on your weight loss! Isn't it wonderful to see the number go down but also know it is because you've been working hard to change your life

Whether you mean stair climbing as in actual flights of stairs, or the Stair Master, I have to agree with that other member that inspired you that it is an excellent workout. I take stairs whenever I can, and also use the Stair Master at my gym. I love the intensity and how I feel afterwards, but with any exercise, take care of yourself. The Stair Master can be hard on your knees and for me, my ankles tend to stiffen up a bit.

Good luck!

Happy Sunday all!
I ran/walked 11 miles in the morning
Walked 3 more miles before 1PM

Worked out 5 days last week, not including all the work I got this weekend camping out in the mountains. Did 32 minutes of running in place at a 5mph pace this morning, and tomorrow it will be time for more P90X!
