Good evening everyone :wave:
I almost failed to stay OP today. Yesterday was my rest day and today I was a bit unmotivated to get on the elliptical (it's a rainy day...cold weather mmm). Only 20 minutes in but I was already thinking of stopping. Fortunately that really tiny voice at the back of my mind (the one yelling "40 minutes or you suck!") won :D Fourth day of weight stall. Well..I gained half a pound this morning but I'm not going to give up. Tomorrow I'm starting the 30-day Shred! |
penguin, I totally know what you mean about one small chore turning into an avalanche of chores. One time, I decided to move a picture on a wall in my kitchen and ended up painting the whole kitchen.
I continue to struggle with my eating but I've done okay with exercise. I went for a walk this morning and did some jogging as well. My legs are really sore at the moment. I hope you're all having a great weekend! |
Oh wow - sorry guys! I just realized I haven't posted in a few days. I haven't been off plan, just very busy and completely forgot. :o
Like I said, I've been OP with both food and exercise. TOM has been nasty and painful as usual, but surprisingly somewhat lighter. Hoping this will become a norm. I'll try to catch up with everyone's posts. Hope you're doing well! :) |
I'm with Rabbit, haven't been off plan, things have just been hectic. My husband and I went to the zoo yesterday because his company held their annual party there (the zoo was emptied out for just employees and their family/friends). They had picnic style food, and I stuck to a hamburger and one very small handful of chips. They had tons of amazing cookies, but I managed to keep myself to one bite of my husband's.
I was 147 two days in a row. If it shows up one more day I think I'll call my birthday goal met. :) I hope you're all having a good weekend. |
Hello everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend. I had an OP weekend, nothing special or interesting to tell. Don't really feel like going to school tomorrow, I feel a bit sicky, but oh well. Hope we all get a great start to the new week!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I did a little indulging over the weekend, but I stayed in control. Also I went shopping and I wear a size 13/14 now!!!! I wore size 18/20 for a number of years.
When trying on size 16 pants I couldn't believe when the sales associate said I needed to go down a size. To celebrate I powerwalked for 8 miles today - which is the furthest I've gone in one day! I'm not sure if I will be able to check in much next week so I hope everyone has a wonderful week! |
I bought a 20 and a 35# kettlebell over the weekend, I found the 20 on clearance at Target and the 35 at Walmart.
We are trying to stay home this weekend to finish jobs around the house that we have put off. |

i have been trying to post for past 2 days.. but for some reason the internet doesnt work :(... i have my weekends off... so no workout... But i had a heeuva weekend, killing roaches in my house... it was like my house is under cockroach attack!! disgusting creatures were everywhere:stress::stress::stress:.. and i am so tired now... today is again weighing day.,... i have a feeling i wudnt have reduced.. :(... i hope i dont gain atleast... |
I tried the 30-day shred for the first time yesterday and holy crap...I died 10 minutes in and it's only level 1 :( My legs are so sore right now...is it really supposed to hurt like this? But I'm going to do it again today. I'm kind of disappointed though because I couldn't do the lunges properly (crazy popping sound on my right knee, got to get this checked).

Sorry I didn't get to check in over the weekend but it was crazy busy for me and it went by so fast. I hope everyone had a good weekend. I ate over my daily calorie allotment both days but I still came in 53 calories under for the week. I'm looking forward to a great week and I am trying to go without sugar this week. Sunny - Congrats on fitting 13/14s!!!! I can't imagine power walking for 8 miles. You are on fires:carrot: Nayshal - You did great to even attempt to do it. I've had the DVD for about 4 years and have never tried it. I have to be really careful with my knees when I do lunges too. Just modify and do what you can and you will see results. Hang in there :) tamanna - I've been having trouble gettin on to this thread for about 2 weeks now. Sometimes I can get on and sometimes I can't. It's so frustrating. I hope you were able to get rid of your un wanted little pests and I hope you have a good W/I today. Smoo - I hope you feel better today :) TheBunneh - Great job on staying OP with all the goodies around you. Steph - Hang in there and you will get back on track with your eating. You are doing so much exercise and it's probably balancing out what you're eating. Penguin - I hope your weekend was good and you managed to get all your cleaning done. Nothing much planned for today, just hanging around to work on the house.
The company Hubby works for announced that they are closing the branch here in Memphis in Dec. We don't want to move somewhere else working for this company, we can't pay two mortgages and we would lose our house, even if we wanted to move, we can't rent the house out because we have a VA loan. We can't complain about this rule because the VA loan has been a great help to us over the years. |
GettinFit, congrats on making this a sugar free week! I'm trying to do the same. I keep reading on how sugar is not really all that good for you. It not only starts up the cravings, but causes inflammation in our body, causing a myriad of diseases. :(
Steph, glad your cat is home from the vet. :carrot: smoosmoo, Hope you decided to go the gym. I know the feeling, but I sure feel better when it's over. :) tamanna, 13 days OP! :woohoo: Hi Everyone Else. Hope you're having a good week. :wave: By the way, my hubby and I love our new refrigerator. We are starting to feel normal again! And I'm back to eating protein, fruit, vegetables and other refrigerated items. :D I noticed even when you eat the right amount of calories, eating a bunch of carbs makes you tend to gain weight. :( |

I tried not to sucumb to comfort food but did eat a few handfuls of the choc chips I bought to make cookies for Wed's Bible study. I did make hamburgers for dinner, I added garlic and rosemary, they were yummy! I already had the oven going for sweet potatoes so put the grill pan in the oven to heat then dropped the burgers on it and cooked them in the oven, which worked very well.

been a busy lately... so doing a quick checkin.. Yesterday i did my weigh in.. and was dissapointe dto know i had gained 200 gms.. :(... I need to put in more efforts... Yesterday was OP day for me.. i had a gr8 workout.. with weight training and 30 mins of cardio... I felt good after it... I know the weights not reducing... but i was happy i have been working out.. i feel more fit physically... i hope everyone else doing welll... take care! |
