First day went well and completely OP. Food was good (sauerkraut - yum!) and I ended up with around 1400 calories.

As for exercise - I usually walk with my hubby, but he's been gone a whole week on a job assignment, so I've been walking alone. Yesterday the weather was yucky with nasty misting rain and wind, but I slapped my headphones on and had an awesome workout. I love conquering nasty weather!

Penguin - ouch. Those kind of days suck. Just leave it in the past and have a great day today :)

smoosmoo 09-02-2012 02:14 AM

Morning everyone!

It's been an extremely lazy weekend for me so far. My muscles were hurting a lot from the circuit we had in P.E. on Friday so I took Saturday easily. Had an OP day though. :) Today when I weighted myself, I was down by 1 pound. :D

Oww penguin, we all have those kinds of days unfortunately. Take it easy today and I'll hope you have a nice Sunday.

Chubbygirl253, laceyj, Silly Rabbit, Welcome and good luck with your plan!

tyla 09-02-2012 08:30 AM

Did great yesterday eating-wise. I also got on the treadmill for 52 minutes. I feel so much better for doing well.

Welcome, Chubbygirl, laceyj, Silly Rabbit!

mesmerized 09-02-2012 09:50 AM

I've had a bad cold for like two weeks so I haven't been able to exercise for a long time now. I don't feel like myself when I don't do my workout so I'm really looking forward to doing it tomorrow :D I plan on doing some jumprope and kickboxing.

Everything has been OP so far :)

smoosmoo - congrats! :D

GettinFit 09-02-2012 10:11 AM

Good morning ladies,

:welcome: to this challenge Lacey & Chubbygirl  It's nice to have you join in.

Penguin - I hope this is a great month for you. Don't stress too much over your weight but just focus on getting it back down. You can do it :carrot:

mesmerized - I hope you shake the cold and can get back to your exercise.

Tyla - Great job on your good day!!

Smoo - Congrats on your pound loss. Keep up the great work.

Silly Rabbit - Glad you had a good day and was able to conquer the nasty weather and not let it stop you from your workout.

Clever - Wow, another 1.5 down! You are rockin it.

Lacey - I hope you make your goal before going to NYC. I'm hoping to be at my goal weight by next spring and I plan to go on a shopping spree in NYC.

Last nght I ended up goin a little over my calories but I'll just make today a lower calorie day. I was under my calories for the week so it will balance out. Today should be an okay day for me food wise. It is my rest day from the FIRM but I've already done a 3 mile walk and I may do an Ab DVD later today.

I hope everyone else is having a great OP day.

patchworkpenguin 09-02-2012 10:43 AM

So I figured something out last night. Most of my 'restarts' begin with my stepping on the scale, realizing I've gained some weight, and deciding I have to step up the workouts, and restrict what I eat. So I begin with expectations of hard work and denial.

But what I've realized this past week is I DO feel better when I exercise, I DO feel better when I pay more attention to what I eat, even if I'm eating the same foods just smaller portions and less sweets.

So what is usually an attitude of "I can't' and I 'have to" is for once an I WANT TO, which may be all it takes to stick to my plans. :dizzy:

Even better I woke up 2.4 lbs lighter than yesterday!

GettinFit 09-02-2012 06:58 PM

:woohoo: Penguin - 2.4 pounds is a great start and it sounds like you have the right attitude for success. I hope this a great month for you.

patchworkpenguin 09-02-2012 06:58 PM

Today I did about 45min of weights

Back later to post foods.

Steph7409 09-02-2012 09:31 PM

My day started well, with a 6-mile walk. But then I went to the grocery store and bought things I shouldn't have. In short, I went on a premeditated binge and I'm really irritated with myself. I did manage to put on the brakes before stuffing myself to the point of feeling sick, so I'll give myself a credit for that (I'm still working through the Beck book, GettinFit!).

I'm thinking of going to the outlets tomorrow to take advantage of the sales and to get out of the house, since I'm in a restless mood and that leads to eating. And I really need some new blouses.

penguin, I like your new attitude. It's so much more motivating to focus on the positives.

2 coconut macaroons now drizzled with chocolate

45min weights

smoosmoo 09-03-2012 01:30 AM

I agree with you penguin. You have a really motivating positive attitude! :D

Have a good day everyone!

Silly Rabbit 09-03-2012 02:25 AM

Second day went on plan again. Had about five hours worth of exercise running around a racetrack shooting motorcycles, but it was so much fun as usual I hardly noticed it :)

I guess I'll have to go shopping soon since I'm falling out of my jeans and bras - I have small enough bewbs and losing weight has made them shrink even more. That's the one thing I don't like about this...

mesmerized 09-03-2012 06:02 AM

Just finished my workout and I feel great :D I don't understand why it's sometimes so hard to motivate myself to exercise when I feel this great afterwards. My brain ain't so smart ;)

My diet has been OP but I did eat some fruit yesterday because I completely forgot that I wasn't supposed to do that. I've decided that fruit is OK for me in moderation, but if I eat to much I get cravings for candy! Also, I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 3 pounds! :carrot:

penguin - congrats on you weight loss! :D
Silly Rabbit - I have the same problem! I keep telling my body and brain to stop doing that - I have fat on my hips and thighs which it can remove instead ;P

GettinFit 09-03-2012 10:06 AM

Good morning everyone,

Penguin - Great job on getting back in control with eating & working out. You are going to have a great September:)

Steph - I sure can relate to the premeditated binging. I have done that so many times. I'd be so embarrased when I go through the checkout. There I was, this overweight lady with an arm full of junk food. Most times I'd dig in as soon as I got to the car. The Beck book really helped me to think about what I was doing before I put anything in my mouth. I think going shopping is a great idea and I hope you find some good buys. Let us know how your day was.

mesmerized - I'm glad you're enjoying your exercise and I agree that once you make yourself do it, you feel so much better. Keep it up.

Silly Rabbit - WOW 5 hours of exercise is great!

Smoo - You have a great day too.

So far my morning is going good. I did my rotation workout already and I plan on doing something else later. If it's not raining I may go for a walk or I may do Turbo Jam. My eating has been good and I've not missed a day tracking on Lose It since July 18.

Enjoy the day everyone.

TheBunneh 09-03-2012 10:14 AM

Checking in for last night, since I missed it. Had an OP day.

I went to bed really early and slept for a looong time. Today my husband and I are probably going to catch up on some yard work that's been missed since he's been working insane overtime for what feels like an eternity.

I'm also going to try to fit in a workout.

Rabbit - I know how you feel. After losing weight I've gone from a B to an A cup... I'm a little worried what ten/twenty more pounds will do. :dizzy:
