Cashews and peanuts...mmmmm. I can't have them in the house very often. Same with Doritos. (I had a cat once who loved Doritos. He would open the cabinet door and climb in, and the door would close behind him. I'd come into the kitchen and hear crunching coming from the cabinet!)

I had a decent day today, even though my eating schedule was out of whack due to a vet appointment and then a neighborhood meeting after work. I tried to ride my recumbent bike but my thigh still hurts too much. I can use my mini stepper, though, so I can still get some cardio. If it didn't get dark so early, I'd walk/jog after work but I'll have to wait for the weekend.

penguin, I wake up several times during the night pretty much every night. It sucks but I've gotten much better at getting back to sleep.

Why is it only Tuesday?? This week is just dragging. :mad:

My sore butt is reminding me I did 50min of legs today, alternating a weight exercise with a plyo cardio move.

Steph, How funny! April loves Dortios {and most other people food} but we make sure she can't get to anything by keeping it above her head.

I'm sick :( Haven't been OP for four days now. I'm trying to stick to my calorie limit but sore throat just makes eating really hard to do. I can't exercise as much as I want for fear of having a fever but I'm fulfilling my 3+ liters of water/day.
It's really weird. I didn't get sick even if I exercised every day of the week for almost a month. Then when I decided to finally have a rest day, I get sick. It's like it's been waiting for me to stop exercising lol.

My neck is super tense for some reason so I'm going to have to take a easy at class later.

Canadian Thanksgiving is right around the corner and this is the first time most of my bf's family have seen me since my weight loss so I'm a bit nervous!

Today's Meal Plan:
Breakfast: Cheerios with almond milk
Snack: Handful of unsalted almonds
Lunch: English muffin with lean turkey slices w/1 sunny side up egg
Snack: Nutragrain bar and 1 small grapefruit
Dinner: Baked Chicken Breast, stuffing and a small salad

- Also a hemp protein shake with almond milk, natural yogurt and fresh blueberries after my class.

Today's Workout Plan:
AM Workout: 3 Mile walk
PM Workout: 1 hour strength-training class

Penguin- Yeah that's basically how I feel right now with P90X. I am very sore and all that jazz, but very energized. I slept like a baby last night too, and with my past with insomnia that is super rare for me! I could get used to sleeping good like that hahaha.

Sunny- I love P90X! Before that I was doing DVD workouts like Jillian Michael's, or doing basic workouts back when I had a Wii. Also I would walk/jog 3-4 days a week for at least 30 minutes. I would incorporate a few strength training moves into my routine for upper and lower body, or when I had a gym membership I would do it there, but I never had a proper workout with strength training until P90X came along.

Nayshal- I'm really sorry to hear you are sick, I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Did my workouts for the day, feeling sore but overall feeling very energized and good. :) I tracked my meals for the day on MFP and am under my caloric goal again, but not too far under.

My current project is taking the recipes that my grandmother, mother, and mother in law have given me and putting them into my new little notebook I bought, and I also want to find some very yummy, but healthy dinner recipes to make for my husband and I. Not sure where to look though besides the occasional post on Pinterest.

Hey guys! hope everyone's doing well this week. Already hump day-half way through the week already!

I strained my right calf muscle so even walking kills right now. I was doing jump roping every day plus lots of jumping around aerobic type cardio and I just overdid it I think. Instead of getting frustrated that I can't exercise, I'm going to spend the week or however long till it gets better just stretching and working on my flexibility!

My weight goal for the month was 147. I was 153 yesterday, and even though it seems a lot more than I wanted, I look a lot more toned and compact, I have to admit it to myself! I need to take my measurements and go on that more on the # on the scale. It just definitely takes some getting used to, I feel great and look good but I just do't like seeing the high #! I guess that will come later. I still hope to lose about 10 more lbs, buthey we can only ask so much right? ;)

Hubby was able to get an earlier flight, so is on his way home! yay! I have a routine visit to a retina specialist tomorrow after Bible study, this is one of those visits that take all day, because not only do we have to wait on my eyes to dialate, there's usually a big crowd. I was able to finish my bread early and have a sweet potato in the oven for my dinner.

I did one set of each exercise from P90x Shoulders and Arms including the bonus round.

Good morning Chickies,

I apologize for missing posting yesterday but for some reason I have been having trouble posting for a few weeks now. The screen freezes up and I have to shut down the browser and start over and the same thing keeps happening. Hopefully this post will go through. I will try and catch up on personals later. Congrats to those who are staying OP and for those struggling, I hope you can get things turned around soon.

I've been OP but I'm struggling with the peanuts again and I know that's what is preventing the scale from going down again. This morning I took them out of the house and put them in the trunk of my car :( If I still have a problem with them, I will bring them in to work and put 'em in the break room. I bought them because they were on sale but I have to realize that this is something that I just cannot buy right now.

I can't believe October starts in a few days. This month has flown by! I'm looking forward to a good October too.

Penguin, I get up about 3 times a night, too. I think it's all this water too close to bedtime. I also went to a retina specialist last week. Yes, you're right. It takes several hours! Penguin, thanks, I do feel better! :yay:

Steph, I want to congratulate you on getting down to 135! That's not easy. It's taking me forever! :bravo: Your cat story was funny and cute. :)

Alisa, smart idea to do other exercises till your calf gets better. Sorry you strained your muscle. :(

Pink, you can google recipes. I found some on The Food Network website and low cal sites. :hungry:

Feeling so much better today. And I'm back to 139.5! I've been eating right and doing gentle exercises. Started toning again. :)

I spent the whole day at Bible study, lunch, running errands with my parents, and at the eye doctor. The good news is my eyes are okay, and he didn't need to see me again for 6 months! Hubby got home before I did {very rare} and after mowing the lawn, he made pizza for dinner. This was his first attempt alone and it turned out great!

AilsaPearl – I hope your calf muscle is better and I agree that it’s a good idea to focus on the inches lost rather than the scale. The scale can be really discouraging if you let it be. You are doing a great job so keep up the great work.

I was on track with my calories yesterdat. I went over earlier in the week when I had the run in with the peanuts but I’m happy to say that I stayed away from them yesterday. I am so glad that I put them in the trunk of my car and out of the house or I may have given in to them last night. My weight is still at 206 this morning and I’m hoping to see a slight dip by Sunday. My back has been bothering me so I didn’t get a workout in on Wed or Thur but I will try and do something light today.

I woke up today feeling drained, then got a horrible headache, took meds and a nap which only helped a little. Hubby is having a night out with the boys, they are meeting at Boss' house and will work on their RC planes.

I"ve decided to keep with my plan of doing a short cardio and short weights each day. To this end I'm going through my workouts in search of prmixes to chop up the longer workouts, and making lists in Word. I found a template for a printed calendar page but after printing it out I found I could have done better with a straight edge and rular. So maybe reading small print and being on the computer a lot the past few days combined with the eye doc appintment caused my headache.

I'm checking in too and I'm having a good day. Last night I gave in to peanuts :mad: again but this morning, I opened the jar and threw all of 'em in the trash. It was hard to do but I knew that if I kept them I'd eat the rest sooner or later. Now I have to not buy anymore for a while.

Penguin I hope you're feeling more energized today.
