Good morning ladies,
Tamana - Don't be disappointed over what the scale said this week. As long as you've been eating good and exercising, it will eventually go down. Keep up the good work. Penguin - Hang in there. I'm hoping for a good day. I'm still trying to avoid sugar today and am hoping to get out for a nice walk this evening if the rain stops. I hope you all have a great day! |
GettinFit, I'm sure you've mentioned this but I've forgotten - where are you going on your cruise?
penguin, that sucks about your husband's company. tamanna, like GettinFit said, you'll soon see the results on the scale. I like the way exercise makes me feel, regardless of whether it shows up on the scale. My legs are still sore from my brief foray into jogging over the weekend, but I did my strength training last night. The weather this weekend is forecast to be good again, so I'm hoping to have recuperated enough to do some more jogging. We had a department lunch meeting today and I had my usual tuna wrap. I can't make tuna salad that has any flavor to it (I'm no good at spices!) so I look forward to this sandwich every month, and it never disappoints. |
Good evening ladies,
Another successful day under my belt. I did have some nuts today but I stayed in control with them. My total calorie intake was 1209 and I burned 396 calories with my workout. Steph - In 2 weeks I'll be going to Freeport & Nassau Bahamas for 4 days and in Nov I'll be going to the Western Caribbean for 7 days. I haven't taken a vacation since last Nov so I am good n ready. I'm glad you enjoyed your tuna wrap. It sounds delish. BTW, how did your bathroom turn out? I hope everyone else has had a good day. |
I did the laundry, baked cookies for tomorrow, and made dinner but no workout, until Hubby wanted to go for an evening walk. He's full of surprises this week! We went 1.25miles around the neighborhood. April was thrilled!
|
I got the whole wheat bread started today. I'm not sure the idea of starting it on my early day will work. I have to mix it before I'm really awake. who knows what I put in there?:p Off to get ready for Bible study.

I wasn't completely OP Monday. It was a very, very stressful day and I broke down and ate a bowl of ice cream. I don't think it actually put me very much over my calories since I was still on the low side before it (certainly not over maintenance), but I didn't bother measuring.
I've been OP otherwise and actually saw 146 this morning! |
Just a quick check-in today. I'm still sugar-free, eating right and exercising. Went to dinner with a group of ladies yesterday, and only ate half of my salad and the toast that came with it. Gave the take-home box to my hubby for his lunch. Yay, it was a win win! :yay:
|
Hey everyone! Hope this week is starting out to be a good one. I have been OP and exercising every day since September started. And as I'm just about 10 lbs from my goal weight, I have noticed my weight loss slowing so much! The darn scale just won't budge. So I am going to try on all my clothes today to see if anything's fitter looser. If not I'm going to calorie cycle my calories for a couple weeks to see if that moves the scale. I have been lifting a lot, hopefully it's just muscle! That darn scale though...

Hello ladies,
TheBunneh - Congrats on seeing 146 on the scale :carrot: I hope your stressful situation is over with. Hang in there. Tyla - Congrats on sticking to your sugar free goal and great job on staying OP at dinner. AilsaPearl - Great job on sticking to your Sept OP goal. I think trying on clothes is a great idea when the scale isn't budging and you have been OP. I keep waiting anyday now for a drop below 208 :?: No matter what I'm going to keep on keeping on :) I hope everyone else is having an OP day. I can't believe it's already the 19th and there is only 1.5 weeks left in Sept! That will make 3 full months of me being OP  |
TheBunneh, tyla, AlisaPearl - you're all so close to your goals! Kudos for staying OP.
penguin, I hope your bread turns out well. What kind of cookies did you bake? I just made some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies that my co-workers loved. GettinFit, your cruises sound great. As for my bathroom, it's 99% done and looks fab. I need to touch up some paint and have my brother shave down the new shelves he made for the closet in there. I'm going to have the contractor come back and tile the hall in front of the bathroom, too. I'm still eating more than I'd like, but I'm not gaining anything. I'm just annoyed with myself for eating when I'm not hungry. {{sigh}} |
Hi everyone,
I'm sorry I haven't checked in for a looong time. In the past 2 weeks, I've gained and lost 5 lbs. :o :( I'm doing better again though. Everyone seems to be doing really well- congratulations everyone on staying OP! |
I did 40min of Kettlebells ~ AOS Empire State, I used my 20, 25 but not the 35! Then Hubby wanted to go for a 30min walk. Having April <--- pull me along helped! phew. But I let stress get to me and I ate a lot of tortilla chips. Crunchy makes me happy!:o
Steph, the cookies are called Ghosties; meringue with cornflakes and choc chips. Mom made them each fall when we were growing up! The bread was kinda flat, not great for making sandwiches. Since this isn't the day I usually make it I kinda forgot about it and left it 'to rise' too long. that might be the problem. |
I'm officially having a cold and flu now, my TOM started yesterday and the weather is getting very rainy, windy and cold these days. All of this makes me feel quite crap, especially this, that I had to get sick just on the day there was a planned meeting with my friends. I've been staying OP though. TOM doesn't trigger some weird moods for me nor it does the same with food cravings, luckily. I have put the scale away so that it wouldn't discourage me, and will step on it on Sunday. I hope to see a loss, although my periods might affect it.
Next week my exam week is starting, so I will not be checking in very often, if at all (depends on how I manage to) but I will try to whenever I can. Hope you all have a good OP day! |
GettinFit It's a bunch of family stuff, so unfortunately never actually goes away. But once in a while it all sneaks up and attacks me from every side at once. :frypan:
Awesome job on 3 months on plan! smoosmoo Hope you feel better soon. |
Good morning ladies,
Bunneh - Hang in there  Smoo - I hope you feel better and putting the scale away if a good idea if you can't handle it now. Penguin -Glad you had some nice workouts yesterday. Hopefully you burned off the calories from the chips. Steph - I'm glad you like your bathroom. You are doing a great job at maintaining and not gaining anything. Clever - I'm glad you're back on track and are doing better and hopefully that 5 pounds left the room never to return :) I'm doing okay. I had a great 55 minute walk yesterday. I power walked the entire time and when I got home I was sooo worn out. The scale finally dropped a pound to 207 today. I'm hoping that by Sunday I'll be at 206. I hope you ladies all have a great day. |
