The party tonight was really good, and I ate very well. :D I feel good about that. ;)
Hope everyone's Saturday was good, and that Sunday is even better! :)

GettinFit 09-24-2012 10:09 AM

Good morning ladies,

Sorry I was MIA over the weekend but I was under the weather and didn't turn on the laptop at all. I did good with my eating and I got in a workout on Saturday. I took it easy yesterday and just rested. I'm very happy that I stayed on track even though I didn't feel good.

I will catch up on personals later today but I hope everyone is having a good day :)

TheBunneh 09-24-2012 10:49 AM

Eeesh, sorry I haven't been posting! I've been on plan though, and holding pretty steady at 147. :)

SunnySide99 09-24-2012 11:15 AM

I too have to do a better job with posting more.

I had some treats over the weekend, but I had portion control. Looking forward to my strength-training class later - going to bump it up to 12 lbs dumbbells from the 10lbs I've been using over the last month!

Have a wonderful day!

patchworkpenguin 09-24-2012 12:13 PM

I woke up cold this morning and wasn't very happy about it. Hubby left this morning for his work trip, usually he leaves for work and I'm still half asleep when we say goodbye but today we were both up and I watched him leave which was much worse:(. He feels going on this trip is a waste of his time, training for a job they will lay him off of in two months, when he could be out looking for another job.

I'm going to try 'body part a day' + cardio, mostly because I've never tried it before and I'm trying to keep cardio in the mix, but I may sneak a few extra body parts in here and there just to keep me interested. A workout of just triceps sounds a bit short and boring.

Sunnyside, great avatar!

Pink Hurricane 09-24-2012 01:19 PM

Did my P90X workout for the day, I just began week 2 so I am hoping to be able to complete each workout with more reps than last week. Also I decided in the mornings to go ahead and plan what I'm going to make hubby and I for dinner so I can go ahead and log in my food on MFP for the day. It helps me to stay on track and be more accountable for my actions.

How was everyone's weekend?

GettinFit 09-24-2012 08:01 PM

Hello ladies,

Clever - I'm glad your DD came through okay. I'm sure that had to be frightening.

Sunny - How exciting about the shorts. Keeping them around as a reminder is a great idea.

Pink Hurricane - I stayed OP over the weekend so it was a successful one. I hope you had a good one too.

AilsaPearl - Hang in there. Your woosh is coming.

Penguin - That is too funny!

I hope everyone else has a great evening.

patchworkpenguin 09-24-2012 08:41 PM

I did 20min of weights for chest, 30min of tabata cardio, seasoned the cast iron, vacuumed, washed dishes, started swatching for new sweater in blue, finished Bible study lesson, put some books away, and made a list of more stuff to do tomorrow!

Steph7409 09-24-2012 10:09 PM

Hey ladies,

It's good to see so many people staying on plan! I've been doing okay but could do better. Yesterday was particularly bad because I was feeling poorly. I managed to get my foot caught in my bedspread while I was walking into the hall on Saturday night and fell down, hard. I scraped my knee, my elbow and my forearm and even banged my cheek against the ladder that was leaning against the wall. Worst of all, I strained my thigh muscles in my "bad" leg so it hurt quite a bit. So, instead of doing some running yesterday, I ate too much sugar while I painted my hall and stairwell. Gah,

penguin, your husband's situation sounds really frustrating. My employers are sometimes weasels and it can be emotionally draining. Also, your list of activities makes me feel like a slacker. :)

CleverName, I'm glad your weekend got better after that scare with your daughter!

Sunnyside, good job on upping your weights. I don't lift as heavy as the hard core chicks here, but I do like my 16 and 20 pounders.

Pink Hurricane, I sometimes log ahead of time on Lose It. It can be a really effective strategy, I think.

GettinFit, you continue to be an inspiration. You rock!

SunnySide99 09-25-2012 09:03 AM

Hi girls!

Thanks for the encouragement patchworkpenguin Steph7409. :) I'm not as sore as I thought I would be from lifting the heavier weights. I hope you are feeling better Steph. That sounds really painful. :(

I got on the scale for the first time in about 3 weeks and to my surprise I'm at 217 lbs!!!! So for this month I've lost 11 lbs. Yay!

Today's Meal Plan:
Breakfast: Apple Jacks
Snack: Oatmeal
Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (no crust), 1 small banana and a small handful of unsalted cashews
Snack: Kashi Strawberry Granola bar
Dinner: Homemade Philly Cheese Sandwich and a small garden salad

Today's Workout Plan:
AM Workout: Pilates
PM Workout: 4 Mile power walk

Have a great day everyone!

GettinFit 09-25-2012 11:16 AM

Good morning ladies,

Steph - I'm sorry to hear about your fall and I hope everything heals real soon and you're back at running. Take it easy as long as you need to.

Sunny - I just realized you that you did all this hard work in 6 months going from a 22 to a 14!!!! That is awesome :cp: And, 11 pounds in a month:D I am so jealous :dizzy: Keep up the good work.

Penguin - Great job on completing your workouts yesterday.

Yesterday was a pretty good day for me. I ate within my calorie range but I must admit, I'm back at it with the peanuts and ate too many last night. I don't know why I bought them because they are a problem food for me. I spent about 450 calories on them and that's not good. Tonight I WILL avoid them! I got my Firm workout done last night and tonight I may walk. I hope you all have a great OP Tuesday :)

Pink Hurricane 09-25-2012 11:46 AM

Sunnyside- You've lost 11 pounds this month? That is fantastic keep it up!!!

Penguin- That's awesome about your workouts, I am trying my best to keep it up and finish every single one!

Steph- Sorry to hear about your fall! I haven't fallen like that in a while but I'm always pretty sore for a few days after. I hope you are feeling better!

GettinFit- I did the Firm workout a few years back before I got sick and loved it so that's awesome you are doing it! I know what you mean about peanuts being a problem food. Mine is Doritos. I try my best not to buy them, and if I do then I get a snack sized bag and try not to have them often. I enjoy it more and savor it when I do, and I'm not tempted at all if I don't see a giant bag of them in my house

I am staying on plan today. I feel really good because I finally completed every rep and every move in Cardio X. I'm in week two of P90X and I am sore but I am finally breaking through the stagnant phase I have been in. I'm trying to make healthier food choices everyday too, and staying on top of my food tracking.

patchworkpenguin 09-25-2012 01:19 PM

Not a great nights sleep, I woke up at 2:28, 3:28, 4:28, you get the idea. I was hoping I'd get to sleep late but I woke at 6something and couldn't get back to sleep. I woke up cold yesterday so I put an extra quilt on the bed but then didn't need it. Laundry and other chores for today. Today is Legs so I think I'll pick a STS Plyo Legs workout. TOM is hitting me hard this month; it seems I keep saying that lately.

Pink, I did a P90x rotation a few years ago, although I had exercised regularly {but moderatly} before, the first month I felt like I'd been hit by a truck, but after that it got better.

Steph, sorry to hear about the fall.

Sunnyside, good job on the loss

Gettin, why is it there are some foods we just can't leave alone?

SunnySide99 09-25-2012 02:06 PM

GettinFit - Thanks! Actually I started from a size 20. I had to buy those shorts in my avatar when I was slowly creeping up to a size 22. I had a couple of restarts, but I officially got to a size 18 back in early June so that's when I consider my official, official start. :)

Cashews are my weakness and there are about 330 calories for a 1/4 of a cup! I find putting a handful in a bowl and putting the canister away helps...well most of the time anyway. haha

Pink Hurricane - Thank you! I'm so curious about P90x, but it intimidates me! lol What exercises were you doing before starting?

patchworkpenguin - I hear you about waking up in the middle of the night. I've started drinking 1 gallon of water everyday and I've been waking up 3 - 4 times per night to go to the restroom!

tyla 09-25-2012 02:08 PM

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA for several days. Been under the weather. I hate that. Anyway, I was on antibiotics all week and weekend, and unfortunately, they affect your weight. Luckily, I remained the same. I have been eating right, but not able to do strenuous exercises, just gently walking. Still not 100%, but getting there.

GettinFit, sorry to hear that you were under the weather, too. Hope you're feeling well.
