Guess what??? I ran a 5K this morning on the tread mill!! Whooot, whooot! Those last .3 miles have been dodging me so I just kept a nice 5.2mph pace (except for the second to last song; upped that to 5.4) and when I hit 2.9 miles I just refused to stop. Time was 35:40. Am quite pleased!

Day 22 of 21+, done.

TM run - 43 min total and 3.5 miles total; 35.40 min and 3.1 miles running.

loose seal, congrats on the 5K!

I'm at 1925 minutes for the month so I'm going for 2000. I should get there tomorrow.

Hey, does physical therapy count? I started today. I didn't cry but, dang, some of it hurt quite a bit.

Steph7409: We've definitely had people count physical therapy -- but I'm not sure any of them were going for 2000 minutes!

I made myself wait a full five days to do any exercise whatsoever, and since then have done mostly just walking. It's not giving me near the same feeling of satisfaction as the running does, but it's better than no exercise, that's for sure. And at least I still met my goal this month.

I went ahead and started the June Exercise Challenge thread. I probably won't be as quick about wrapping up this thread or getting the goal list going on the June thread as usual since I've got some travel coming up.

I'm counting on you all to be energetic in the June thread with reports and encouragement since I won't be as attentive as normal. Thanks!

Shoulders, arms and butt workout. Threw some ab stuff in there too.

Thank you, thank you for the nods for mah running accomplishment. Am hoping it gets easier as I go along. Who knows, someday I may even run . . . . 4 miles! lol
