Lovemydoggies, I am so, so sorry to hear about everything you're going through. I can't even imagine how you must feel. It's amazing that you're so determined to lose weight, though. I hope things get better for you
I haven't been doing quite as well as I'd like, but I'm proud of sticking with it. There have been very few times when I've consistently lost for this long, so I'm happy
lovemydoggiesx2:
Good luck with your weight loss. You will be thinner and healthier soon. You sure had your share of troubles lately.
I went over the chart and most of us are losing weight!
That's great.
I was trying to lose 1 pound a week, but seems it is just 2 pounds a month so far.
But that's OK. I am in a smaller size and people are noticing the thinner me.
At this rate I will have to stick around another year to reach my goal.
The devil has put a penalty on all things we enjoy in life.
Either we suffer in health, or we suffer in soul, or we get fat.

Stlrsgrl, I knew it would have to come eventually. Yay for seeing movement on the scale!
Marla, I know exactly what you mean about slow weight loss. My first month I lost almost 6 months, but since then it's been 2-3 pounds or less. I have had a couple of pretty good weeks in a row, so I'm hoping I've figured out what works the best for my body.
One of the things I've realized is that the weeks I've had good weight loss I've drank a lot of water. So I have made it an effort to get at least the 8 glass they recommend the pat few weeks & I've had 3 weeks of 1 lb. plus losses. Which I was running pretty regular .2 or .4 weeks. So drink your water ladies!
I had my WI today & am down another pound. Happy dance once again.
I registered this week's weigh in on the spreadsheet. No progress yet. I'm glad there's still 8 weeks left. Sure would like to lose at least 10 pounds. Time to get busy instead of bouncing around.
It's gotten pretty quiet around here. I hope everyone is still feeling motivated to do this! I'm looking forward to finally meeting a goal. Of course, it is modified, but at least I really think I can get to 170 by the 4th. I don't pull huge numbers every week, in fact I've been averaging less than .75 of a pound per week.
But I don't really consider myself "dieting", I'm changing my life style & eating better & moving more. I want to be able to maintain this for the rest of my life and if it takes me a year or more to get there so be it! It will give me time to make my better habits ingrained into my life. Of course, I would love to see big numbers on the scale every week too.
Keeping track of my weight on this thread is helping me realize how freakin sloooow it's going. I think I celebrate each loss too much and need to buckle down more! I feel like I'm doing a lot better than I am. Lost less than a pound this passed week, granted TOM is here to play but I need to cut my calories from 1400-1600 to 1200-1400 and see if that helps.
Down 2.2 pounds since last weigh in ... which I am surprised about because I have been going up and down daily ... so for my weigh in I was nicely surprised to see it down lower than I expected ... Im on 12 hour days at the moment .. and running out of appetite .. plus I have been reacting to almost everything I eat when I get home ... so far all I am managing to keep down without a reaction is my pot of green tea, cheese & onion toasted sandwich and a piece of banana/nut loaf.... and my fave a big plate of vegetables .. last night managed to keep my poached eggs down so very happy about that ... enjoying my few days off to recharge my batteries and relax. Oh I still treat myself to a little bit of chocolate or lolly each day .. but nowhere near as much as I used to lol .... so keeping busy is keeping me sane.
My sister is doing a little better .. she had the lymph nodes removed and is mourning the clumps of hair that are coming out .. but I have given her a bunch of my hats and scarves from when I shaved off my hair for kids cancer fundraiser last year ... and a little hedgehog charm for her pandora bracelet lol .. we joke a lot .. even knowing how serious it is .. but not knowing how much time we have left we refuse to let it be a sad time whenever we are together.
Still here and slowly losing. Down 1.2lbs for the week. Seems like since I started doing Zumba my weightloss has slowed. I thought maybe it'd pick up I need to go back to the beginning of this thread and see what my goal was for the 4th of July. I can't remember......
My goal was to lose 40lbs by the 4th. I am 10.2lbs away!! I can do that, piece of cake(or should I say spinach?), right?
Only seven more weeks until the 4th of July. How fast time flies! I did revise my goal, but I'm pretty sure I will be able to meet this revised goal.
My weight is a little up from last week, but I'm pretty sure that's just preTOM water. And I'm not going to worry about .4 of a pound when I know I've been pretty much OP. I'm just going to expect to see some good numbers next week.
Hey girls, I have still been here lurking, just not posting as I haven´t had anything great to say. I´m proud that several of you have stuck with this and are doing a terrific job. I am maintaining. Right now, I am 156. I´m 16lbs from my goal, and think now it would be impossible to get to in 7 weeks so I am shooting for 10lbs. I am back to feeling better, after being down for quite some time, and ready to get these final pounds off before hubby is home from the war!!
Happy Monday everyone! It's getting pretty quiet around here. I hope you guys aren't losing your motivation! The 4th of July is coming up so quick. It's hard to believe it.
So, chickies get your butts in gear, there's still time to lose more weight. Even if you don't hit your goal, you can be closer than you are today!
And if you're checking in, post a little something to let us know that you're here. You ladies have really helped to keep me motivated & I hate to see this post get so quiet.
I won't be hitting my goal but I am definitely closer than I was when I started! Down 4 pounds this week.
New goal is 220 by the end of the challenge.. and I am much more focused on my diet and exercise now so there's a good chance I'll get there.
I have had so much differing advice (I'm not eating enough, I need to eat less...) So now I am eating healthy when I'm hungry and not eating when I'm not and working out every day. It seems to be working (only been a week though) so hopefully this is the ticket to my goals!
I lost 2.6lbs last week! Yeah!! I upped my calories a little and only worked out 3x(vs 6x) because of no extra time. Maybe my body needed a little break
for 6 weeks I have been yo-yoing between 156-158, but this week I feel a whoosh coming...haha
Great job Tontus!
KandD- I´m not sure about the others, but when I am not doing well, I still come here just don´t post out of shame....but I totally agree that this thread has slowed down a lot!! boo
