Morning Platoon! Great job this past week!

Happy 4th of July to everybody!!

I'm off to do c25k w7d1. Josey, I believe you are running a 5k today? Good luck!! Let's see you shave a couple minutes off your last time!!

I order JM's Ripped in 30 from Amazon yesterday, so it should be here tomorrow. Would anybody be interested in trying it out with me? I read that it's an updated version of 30 day shred that has 4 levels instead of 3. I also ordered 6-week 6-pack, so I'd love to buddy up on that, as well.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day spent with friends and family!

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE ON YOU PROGRESS THIS LAST WEEK! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK & HAVE A WONDERFUL AND SAFE 4TH!
SARGE: Thanks for your support and all your hard work. I'm proud to be a part of the platoon. I may even keep the same avatar after I reach goal weight. I need a reminder that I will still have "pig" potental.

RESOLUTE:
Did you catch any fish to share with the platoon?

DREAMER & RAINBOWSMILES:
Good job on the nails, very patriotic. Who is going to volunteer to paint Sarge's nails?

JEANETTEY:
That housework can really get you moving. If you run out of house to clean, by barricks always needs help.

CHICKADEE:
Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Quick question -- if I am going to the store and opt to walk instead of drive, but I don't speed walk or anything because I'm in jeans, so just walk at a normal pace, do those miles count toward my trekking miles? I'm not really purposefully exercising, but I am purposefully not driving so as to get in more movement.

Josey -- c25k w7d1 -- DONE! Easier than Friday, and I am anticipating Wednesday being even easier!

walking to store over driving counts as trekked miles...nice decision!

I've got a lot of explaining to do for being MIA for the past couple of days...let's just say I'm down, but not out. Sorry about being gone everyone.

I'm going to work my flippin' *** off this week...I've got to. There isn't another option, really, and all I want is for the holiday parties to stop so that I've got time to play tennis every day again.

Sarge - I like being able to look at the pledge board too!!! It helps me feel like I'm part of something BIG and AWESOME.

Celrae - I love the "Positives List"! We should all do one. Maybe at the beginning of every month. It would help us focus on more than just the scale, which does not always reflect our true efforts.

Munchey - You definitely should keep the Piggy avatar. Piggies are intelligent and adorable.

I don't do 5k races if that's what you meant in your last post :-) I hate crowds.

I didn't do my W7D1 yesterday but plan on doing it tonight. I will keep you posted on how it went.

Wow, this group is amazing! I've been reading through some of the posts here and I think that you all sound just about as crazy and hardcore about weight loss and exercise as I am!

I'm in school full time and also work, so it seems like I never have enough free time for myself, but I love running and recently signed up for my first marathon this fall. I can't run it at the weight I am now. I want to enjoy the experience, and it would be too hard, so I am FOCUSED on losing weight and achieving that goal.

Anyway, I'd love to join your Boot Camp, but if I have to wait until next Sunday to do so then that's ok. I'm not sure what the initiation process is like, but I'll be losing 2 lbs this week, following my running plan, and continuing to do 30 day shred every day either way.

Welcome!! The initiation process is that you have to keep up with MadamGooeyButt, er MadamButterfly, in one of her loony challenges.

Hey everyone! I ran in "The Great Sedro-Woolley Footrace" this morning - which I thought was a 5k but turns out was only 2 miles! I pushed hard and finished the race at 25:53 which is a time I'm pretty proud of since the first mile I ran 3 months ago was 22 minutes It was a lot of fun, and I'll be doing it again for sure.

Awaiting - I thought you had punked out on me! Glad to see you're back - you'd better beat me next week or I'm going to send Sarge after you!
