Back again and OMG could it be almost 3lbs lighter?!? OMG 190 on the nose this morning! I think I should vacation more often, the scale just seems to let go when I'm away.

MsP - Congrats on goal, already and it was only a little bit past half way!

Delphi - Glad to see you have your mojo back my dear! And good for you, as always for taking time to think things through and make the best choice for you. And woohoo on that scale, it was the first thing I saw this morning when I logged on, a great big 36lbs gone! And i'm a big fan of gaming myself, I have a PS3 (and am a lot better at it than any guys I know) and dh plays some online stuff too so you've got a big supporter over here. And getting paid to do what you love is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.

Mystical - Enjoy your new house hun and way to put yourself first in the morning, it's one of the hardest things.

JasonsLea - I'll keep my fingers crossed on the jobs for you, it's so difficult to concentrate on things when that piece of your life isn't sorted out. And honestly, we all just jabber about whatever anyway, no need to have something profound to say.

LTTG - 170's So weight loss runs in the family pretty good then? Congrats that's just awesome.

CMo4
- for knowing exaclty how you feel, may it serve to remind us all that's it just that easy and sucks that bad afterwards. But I can see you back firmly on the wagon and moving in the right direction. It's not if we make bad choices, it's when we make bad choices how do we recover and you sound like you have that under control! Show that watery nastiness whose boss!

Happy to be back home and my comfy routine and my comfy bed and my sweet dd and dh. Wonderful time away, it was fantastic to see the girls and chat for like, 72 hours non-stop, I mean if we didn't need to sleep we'd still be talking. One friend just started WW last week as it was great to learn abit about that program and we yattered about what I'm doing. It was like a four day weight loss/nutrition seminar. Even though they knew I had lost a lot it was the first time that someone had really stopped and noticed the difference in how I looked and that was a nice pick me up after my week of scale stubbornness.

And like I said I would, I went running only I did thursday and saturday instead of friday and saturday. But honestly, I don't think I would have if I didn't have to report back.

Gosh I don't know if we're all having weird mid-summer lulls but today was the first day when that alarm went off at 6am when I rolled over and had no intention of going running. I had a bit of a headache, I was tired from the flight and then the subsequent grocery shopping in the Edmonton before we got home at 10pm, unpacked, etc. and on and on and on. But at about 6:10 I don't know what happened but I stood up got dressed and went running. I do believe the ONLY thing that got me up was knowing that if I didn't I would not likely make my July exercise goals, I'm about 5 minutes over goal if I stay on schedule. And I'm not gonna lie, it was hard, it sucked and I hated it today, every frickin minute but fortunately if it sucks it still burns the same calories and when it doesn't.

And just to make stuff extra challenging today, I'm going to try a week without coffee. I mean other than today, not really tired at all anymore so why do I do it? Habit I guess. I've gotten rid of all my diet softdrinks and that was tons harder so this, hopefully, will be easier. And anyway, it's just a week Or maybe longer, we'll see.

That's my novel for today, or this morning at least and I missed you all and am so glad to be back!

Delphi & MsP ~ thanks so much girls! I know you're right, it's just hard not beating myself up over it a little after being so good for so long, kwim? But a friend and I were talking last week about how sometimes you just have to endulge and live life--even if you're trying to lose weight. I planned for a few higher calorie days this month, I guess I just didn't think I would go as overboard as I did, kwim? I think that's what got me all irked is that I thought I had more control than that. Ahh well, as MsP said, 'Live and learn'!! And heck yeah, it definitely helped to remind me why I don't eat like that anymore! Blech! I feel like eating nothing but salad for a week!

Okay, kitchen's clean and now it's time to get serious about my water! It's chugalug time!

Tummy!!!!!~ Welcome back girlie!!! Thanks for your kind words too, my butt is firmly back in the saddle again and it's not budging! So glad you had so much fun! It sounds like it was a blast! Isn't it wonderful to have people notice all the hard work you've put into a healthier you? You deserve all the recognition and praise girlie! I hear ya on the mid-Summer lull...we need a pick me up don't we? Hmm...perhaps a mini challenge of some sort is in order, maybe something quirky and fun like 'funky ways to prepare zucchini' or something equally silly to get the giggles going. Anyway, so good to have you back hun!! Bravo for getting up and getting that run in, even if you did hate it!

Hi ladies, its sounds as if you are all doing so well. congrats to all you losers and those of you who continue to work so hard toward your goal...

Something incredible happened the other day,I can now take off my wedding ring (not that I want to) but it was great that I can slide it off.
I went shopping this morning with mom and I can fit into a size 18 so I decided to buy myself a pretty dress, and looked damm good in it too!

Anyways I am now at 237 and have 6 days to go until surgery. My aim was to be at 235 before surgery.
Wish me luck......

Evening Ladies,

Yes Cmo4, I love zucchini and the only really good thing I cook with it is chocolate cake so that might be a delightful learning experience. And thanks, it's pretty great to have ppl notice. So far only one person has that didn't know already but I'm into that level of loss where it's becoming more obvious and 10lbs really does make a difference. I'll just soak it up but not let it go to my head. As far as cardio, I don't know what you've already done, I'm trying P90X in August to shake things up, have you done the C25K? I guess you're kind of already running with HIIT though. It's a toughy. I look forward to what you decide, after all I will be done it soon enough myself. And you're right week 4 was brutal!

LTBH - Congrats on the new clothes, how entirely marvelous! Watch out not to fling the ring if you move your hands to fast, likely to blind someone like that I have no doubt you'll make that goal, good job!

Going to go hit the sack early tonight and maybe not resent every minute of exercise tomorrow, here's hoping.

Good Morning Ladies!

First of all, I am down a little over a pound this morning putting me into 194 category, which in turn means I have met my July Goal, and met it early. I got on the scale fully expecting to be up due to ST yesterday and I was like "what the hay" this morning. I think my body is playing catch up. All those pounds I should have lost during those almost two weeks, I must have lost them..eh? I guess I must have been retaining water like a mad woman and then the stress probably caused some weird things to happen as well. Because they are just flying off of me now..eh?

But you see, I waited it out ladies. I kept the faith and I believed in myself to do this no matter what ol' bitter darth scale said. So yeah, I am so happy this morning. Whew, am I glad I stuck it out. I KNEW I was losing weight, but the scale just wouldn't show it and gosh was that torture.

At any rate, I'll be back after my cardio to do personals. I love you ladies. Thanks for keeping me on track and for consistently pushing me in the right direction.

Tummy ~ Sweet! I'm not a huge fan of the PS3, but it's a good console none the less. You are like the Canadian version of me or I'm the American version of you I think. Too cool. Thanks for the encouragement, per usual. Sorry to hear you running was a bust for you yesterday. But ya know, you did it and that's really all that matters! So for sheer will and determination. We are NOT destined to be in these big bodies for long. Come Christmas, we should both be almost to the point of maintenance mode. Which is exciting indeed. I've been thinking about Halloween. I should be looking pretty good about that time, and since I know I will be trick or treating with the boys, I think this year I may actually dress up. Do you guys celebrate Halloween in Canada? Anywho, I have no idea why that came up, but it did. Randomness is my specialty! Oh and welcome back home slice.

Looking ~ Good luck on your surgery and on that NSV. You have done an amazing job with sticking to your plan and accomplishing the things you want.

Jacqui ~ I hope your well and remembering to eat.

Where is everyone? We switched threads and everyone went MIA. Well where ever you ladies are, please know you are in my thoughts. Haven't heard from urockmom or supachix since June. We miss you ladies! And NSM, come back to us girly! Is gekster still on vaca to? I remember her saying something about it, but didn't remember. Let's see, I guess that's about it. I'm hungry and just finished my shorter cardio session. Actually all this revamping I have done has really helped tremendously. I just feel better all around. Like I'm living "real" life now and still managing my time, my calories and my exercise accordingly. Dude it feels fanfreakintastic...speaking of my word there, I have the guy down at the store saying it now. I guess he got tired of me moaning about him always saying OK...and ALRIGHT, when I asked him how he was doing. I love making people smile, there is no greater feeling than that.

So you ladies have an uber fantastic day and remember your smiles.

DELPHI ~ Woo hoo on the panties! Met your goal with 11 days to go!!

TUMMY No coffee? Gasp, you're tough! Every time I quit (while pg), I would get massive headaches for a couple of days. I hope that doesn't happen to you.

I'm up 1.6 today, oh well, I was kind of expecting it since I haven't had a gain in days. Dephi's words reminded me to stay the course. Hope everyone has a gosh darn super day!

OMGosh, ladies, having my computer down has been awful! I have done my best to vaccuum it around the fan, hoping that would help and at least it has stayed on long enough to let me log in and to move the list! Oh, how I held my breath because I couldn't "edit" on the 1st July thread (since it's locked) in order to copy the list as it is, so I had to just copy it from the screen and then add all the bold and red and the link at the top and then the title again! And I just kept thinking "Please let this work!"

Ms_P, CONGRATS on making goal!!! Let that red shine on!!!

Delphi, I'm glad you've returned to your normal life again. It's sounds as if you are an all or nothing person like me and it's always great for us to find a middle ground! CONGRATS on making goal!!!

Ladies, my computer's fan just ramped up a bit and it's starting to warm up around it, so I'm going to make this short and come back for the exercise thread after a bit! As for me, CMof4, my eating and exercise has been atrocious, so by comparison, your little misstep is nothing! I'll explain it all later when it doesn't sound like my computer is about to quit on me! Gotta run, ladies, before I lose this! I miss you all!!

Good morning girls!!

LTBH~ Woo hoo!!! Congrats on getting your rings off! I totally know what you mean, that's such a great thing to be able to do--even if you don't really want to. Keep up the great work and good luck on knockin' those last 2 lbs outta the park before your surgery! Keep us posted!!

Tummy
~ good gravy! How did I not go completely ballistic over your 3 lbs loss?!?! Congratulations!! Woo Hoo on the panties!!! That has got to be the best return from vacation loss EVER!!! I am ever so proud of you hun!!! And yeah, zucchini is fun stuff, so I'm learning We planted some in our garden and so far we have one giant one just waiting to be cooked! Hubby wants to wait until this weekend so he can grill it. I almost ruined his plans last night though--I was a pureeing freak (more on that later). So yeah, we need a contest or challenge to perk people up don't ya think? Hmm... Started Wk 8 today...I was having a rough time getting motivated so you can imagine how much I enjoyed it It didn't kill me though, so I guess that's a good thing .

Delphi~ Woo hoo girlie!!! Nothing like a nice weight loss run huh? I am so, so, so proud of you for sticking those couple of weeks out! You were such a trooper and a total inspiration hun!!! Congrats on making your goal so early!!

Jacqui~ I see you!!! I've been wondering how you've been, how's that computer treating you? Hope all is going well!

Well, yesterday was a loooooong day. Ab was a nightmare and screamed so much I'm surprised she has a voice today. She refused to eat her dinner--wouldn't even try it--and she threw the biggest fit of her life over it. She eventually went to bed without dinner at 6:00. She woke up for a couple of minutes but other than that slept through the night so I'm guessing she really needed the sleep. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there are no more fits like that today--although, Em's starting off the day screaming and arguing with Ab, so...ugh...

I was up until 10:00pm pureeing my brains out! I made a bunch of purees from the Sneaky Chef book and man oh man was it time consuming! Thank goodness I won't be doing that very often! I doubled the batches too so I have an extra big bunch of purees! My first recipe will be the Brainy Brownies--they have the purple puree in it (that would be baby spinach and blueberries)...I hope they turn out as good as all reviews say they are!

Down a little today from my binge fest and I was down a pound further after my workout--I'm hoping that sweating my butt off helped to release some of the water I'm still hanging onto. My rings are still snug but I feel so much better than I did yesterday! Whew!

Well, I better get going. I need to head to the store for one more ingredient for the brownies--Oat Bran--I couldn't find it at my regular grocery store.

Have a wonderful day girls and remember to...

Drink Your Water!

Sandye ~ :hugs: Well sorry to hear about the big fit. Man oh man do I know how that goes. But hopefully that rest was what the doctor ordered. Purees? WTF? What the heck are you doing over there? I have this weird vision of one of those infomercials now. Congrats on being down a little and hopefully this will be a decline from here on out.

Tummy ~ I totally forgot to say on that three pound loss. AWESOMENESS! You are the woMAN!

Jacqui ~ Thanks and sorry to hear about the puter still acting up. If ya like I can go all ninja on it?

LTTG ~ Looks to me, like your head is in this. You can NOT give up..ever. And apparently your not, and I'm uber proud of you kiddo. Just think of it as a character building experience.

Delphi~ Yeah, I'm a pureein' machine! I decided that we could all use more veggies and had heard of The Sneaky Chef and Deceptively Delicious--they use fruit and veggie purees and add them to everyday recipes to add more vitamins and stuff. So...well, that's what I'm doin' over here! I thought I'd go for the brownies first since, well come on, kids LOVE stuff like that! And I'll also be making a lasagna this weekend (on the stove top vs. the oven--looks nice and easy) with some other purees thrown in. I'm hoping it doesn't all taste like poo!

Anyway, so that's the dish on the purees. Got my Oat Bran and now I'm off to put away the clean dishes and wash the dirty ones so that I can start whippin' up some Brainy Brownies!!!

Update: The Brainy Brownies (did I mention they're reduced cals and fat too?) are a HIT!! Heh, heh, heh, the boys don't have a clue they just ate spinach and blueberries!! Bwahaha!

Okay, that is all.
