  • Hi girlsssssss.... happy new day.. A quickie check in here as I'm running late, though did read all of your news, as always.

Sandye,,, sounds like your having one of th ose days. Hope it turns around for you and t hat your feeling better girl. Good for you for avoiding those temptations.

Glutio.............wb : ) A big hello to all of you.

Jacquee, wb......: ) nice to see you back girl...wtg on the 120's

I feel a lot better today. Girls...thanks for the kind words by the way. Yesterday I felt sooooooooooooo emotional, out of the blue, just like that! I was on the verge of tears during the day...........then I realized TOM was looming (not until end of month though) so I thought it was a bit odd for it to be messing with me emotionally so early but it by no means is unheard of in my case. Needless to say..........thank god that today I feel fine, no emotional torment! lol. Last night I managed to pull myself out of that funk , listen to music, etc. Sandye,,, hope you do the same thing dear girl and turn it around.

Another cloudy day here. Oh , I got a lot of cleaning done yesterday so that felt good too. We had a lot of rain yesterday which was great as I don't need to water outdoors today though just hoping it didn't make my pool water too cold! lol

okay, time to call my parents and check up on those two! lol : ) Hope you all have a great day girls.
  • Quote: Jacque - a 30 year reunion OMG, you look entirely fabulously young! Well you're gonna knock em dead and that's a lot of toning time too so you'll look even better.
Thanks so much...it's sort of not as big a deal as this past 25 was with my college friends since I have seen some of my HS friends since we were in HS...but thanks!! And yes, lots of time to tone.

Quote: Jacque ~ Canaan is doing better I think. Just started him back on the continous feeds at night and he did OK, but still got sick. Gonna try again tonight though.
Glad to hear he is doing better and I know you are too since he is

Thanks...just keep your fingers crossed that I stay there!!! Glad you are feeling better and are less emotional. TOM is such an a$$!!!!
  • Delphi - I should tell him about that, we'll see if he can have a spare minute for another game, LOL. From what my gaming friends tell me the 360 is for the "serious" gamer so it's no wonder I'm on the other one. That would be hilarious, stabbing ppl with bayonets while discussing toning routines, I bet all the boys online would LOVE that. And for fun, maybe we could even talk about our TOM!

Glutio - Glad dh settled in well, except for a good case of the lonlies that is. The job prospects sound fantastic congrats on doing such a good job. There's nothing like leaving an interview knowing you owned it. Can't wait to see the finished house!

FSA - Gosh, I'm heading to Nova Scotia in three weeks and I'm dreading your weather! Glad you're feeling better, sometimes those super funky days leave as quickly as they come but it also sounds like you put some work into switching it around so good for you.

Night ladies and hope everyone who is MIA is doing alright.
  • Hey girls hows everyone? I sure miss talking to ya. I totally fell off the wagon. Not bad eating but not counting either. I am still jogging though. But I am just maintaining. Everyone has past me up and I just can't seem to get it togather. Bieng broke has some to do with it. Also starting this new job. Totally discouraged though I really need to get back into the mind set and do it
  • FSA ~ Dang that TOM! I'm reading an interesting book, A Woman's Book of Life It's about the biology, psychology, and spirituality of the feminine life cycle. I just finished the chapter on puberty, and it talks about how women are hypersensitive at certain times of the month and how we need to have quiet time to reflect and deal with our stress. Unfortunately, we don't have the opportunity to take a time out and meditate, so we blow up AKA pms. That is so true! In some cultures, women spent that week sequestered in a tent or cave. Those were some wise women. They got a break from every day stresses and got to *itch and moan with other women! Anyway, glad you're feeling better!

BLONDIE You are one third of the way to your goal! Get back on that horse!

TUMMY ~ ~ Okay, your mom is right, we're not seniors, but our bodies kind of act like we are. If she does not have a weight issue, I can understand her not wanting to be labeled. Me, I'm looking for an excuse as to why it's so hard, and I found it!!! The sabotague issue is interesting. I know I do it, but can't for the life of me understand why. Hope your adorable evil spawn is back to her old self soon.

SANDYE ~ You know that smidge is just a blip on the highway to your goal. What do you always tell me, huh? Besides, the closer you get to your goal, the slower the weight loss. Glad you are in a better frame of mind. You have my permission to be a grump*ss, and you can tell DH I said so.

DELPHI ~ Thanks for the kind words. I hope I can be like your grandma when I am in my 80s (if I am so blessed). I am glad that Canaan is doing better!

JAQUEE I check in for a minute at work too! I hope we don't get fired!

GLUTIO Welcome back. Great news on the interviews!

Okay, I was bad today. I had a (long overdue) physical today, and did not get home until after 5:00 pm. It seems that my cholesterol is a tad high, as is my glucose. I was told that I can lower both through diet and execise. I told the doc that I had been doing just that for three weeks, but I don't think it's been long enough to make a difference. I need to cut way down on carbs, for the glucose, and stick to the exercise and diet for the cholesterol. I'll go back in four months to see if I am successful. Dang, it's a drag to get old! Anyway, I got home late, and my youngest returned from a one week camping trip, so I did not get my workout in. My plan for tomorrow is cardio and upper body ST. Wish me luck!
  • OMG!!! I went by a WW location yesterday to do my weekly weigh-in, and imagine my surprise to find out I was DOWN A POUND from last week! Even with all of the junk I ate over the weekend, I lost! Yesterday, I ate and was full all day and managed to not even get close to my total points, so maybe I didn't wind up eating as much as I thought of the bad stuff. I'm .4 pounds from 5% loss!!
  • Hello ladies!!!

Tummy~ Well?!?! Are you there yet? Are ya? Are ya?!?! Oooooh I'm just bursting with excitement for you! I hope you are, I hope you are!!!! As for the sabotage thing--ooh that sounds dead on! I know that in the past when I've tried this BFL program, I went ahead and gave myself the cheat day that he recommends (he does warn that you'll eventually get rid of them because of feeling like poo the day after--boy is he ever right!) and it never failed, around week 5 I would just continue the cheating trend and blow everything. I think that's why I went so crazy with not allowing myself to cheat AT ALL for that first month and a half--I didn't want to backslide! Hope your dd is no longer a dragon/evil spawn and that you have a lovely day with her filled with sunshine, rainbows and butterflies! (I'm crossing my fingers feverishly for the same thing with my girls! )

Delphi~ yeah, I gotta admit, I'm regretting buying the AE Active now when I should have gone with the other. Perhaps I'll have to check out Game Stop...I think you're right, I do need a change of pace! This is my last week of the 12 Wk BFL Challenge so with that coming to an end and August coming up (geez, this Summer is flying by!) I think a major re-vamp is in order! Glad Canaan is doing better! How'd his feed go last night?

Jacque~ Woo hoo! See? I told you you'd drop that weight! Hurray for being back in the 120's!! You're awesome!!!

Glutio~ sounds like you had a fun time in Maryland!! Glad to hear your hubby is all settled! Congrats on doing so well with the interview! Good luck!!! Woo hoo for the loss! Wow! Nothing better than that huh? WTG girlie!!! Now, don't work to hard getting that house all finished k? You don't want to stress yourself out or anything right? Right! Glad to have you back hun!

FSA~ ahh ya gotta love TOM and all the crap he brings with him huh? Ugh! NOT! Glad you're feeling better hun! I took your advice and listened to music--I do everyday actually, but I started my morning off with my main man Dave (Matthews of course--Mmm! Yummy!! ) and boy did it get me going!! Hope your parents are doing well and I hope you have a sunshiny day today!!

Blondie~ my Mom is right--you can't quit now! 1/3 of the way there girl--that's a lot! Get thy heiny back up onto thy horse!!! Don't make me use it girlie--you know I will! Glad to see you checking in, hope that the paychecks start rollin' in soon and that things aren't so tight for ya!

Mom~ A week alone in a tent--sign me up!!! Wise women indeed--I bet it would dramatically cut down on the male mortality rate too huh? Okay, so your physical...hmm...okay, well, so you have high cholesterol--knock it down! You can totally do it! I'm guessing it's not super high if he told you you could lower it with diet & exercise--that's wonderful!! So, whole wheat pasta (sparingly), watch which veggies you cook--carrots, for instance, are great to eat raw, but should be avoided cooked because of the high sugar content. I'll Google diets to lower cholesterol if you want me to (since I don't have a job or anything ) and send you links. Chris had them bookmarked before the computer crashed, so we lost them after that. Anyway, glad you went for your physical! I'm proud of you! Now, get those workouts in today or else!!!

Well ladies, I'm feeling back to my new self today! Thanks to you all and your encouraging words (and threats of )! Thanks so much!!! I really needed it! It's another gray, gloomy day here, but it's all good! It's only supposed to get to 80 which means another day of no AC!! That's money I get to keep in the bank baby!

Okay, so I have some good news...

Swooooooooooooooooosh! I had a big one girls!! I think I finally got rid of all that nasty water from Sunday!! 153 today! Yeehaw!! Now, I'm not sure if that number will stick (whenever I have a big swoosh I always tend to go up a little the next day), but no matter--there'll be NO backsliding! I am too damn close to my goal to be going off the deep end with my eating! There, I've written down for you all to see--now I can't get out of it! And to make it even better--Today is Day 100 of my New Lifestyle!! I can't believe I've done this for 100 days! Of course, as you know, you ladies are a HUGE reason why I've made it this far so time for more and tons of

I started the day off right, got up all by my ownself at 6:30 and got dressed, grabbed the iPod (had hubby show me how to use it ), cranked up Dave and headed downstairs to the treadmill! Man oh man, what a difference music makes!!! Tell me girls, why have I not worked out with it before?! Geez! Made it through Week 8 Day 2 and felt like a million bucks--a sweaty as all get out million bucks--but a million bucks nonetheless!

So, thanks again to all of you for your motivating words and positive attitudes!! I love you girls!!!

Okay, gotta go get Ab! Have a wonderful day and be sure to...

    Drink Your Water!
  • Morning

Blondie - Missed ya sweetie, and you have to recommit yourself, there will always be a million reason not to do this but you're the most important reason to keep going. Remeber why losing weight is so important to you, write it down if you need to and read it again and again. You're worth the effort and wtg on keeping up the exercise and definitely give yourself credit for maintaining!

    LTTG
    - Nope, mom has a weight issue too so the concept of senior applies to her in that regard but my desire to keep my teeth would not allow me to say it. She's always been around a size 14 but is now more in 18-20 land. It's happened really gradually with her, a lot of not adjusting her eating as her metabolism slows down and not exercising! Just as I'm typing this I'm thinking you've got something there! And don't forget to exercise today!

Glutio - What a pleasant surprise, that must have felt entirely fantastic. It's so nice when our body surprises us like that.

CMo4 - Still hanging out at 190.00000 I've never weighed the exact same thing four days in a row, not even a 0.1 difference, it's odd. From my calculations by body now owes me about 1.7lbs that it hasn't lost yet, but patience will win out and victory will be mine! Dd has recoverd it seems that her wanting ice cream for breakfast was just a temporary fit but wow it sure was dramatic. YAY!I thought I heard someone flushing the toilet or something this morning but it was you swoooshing! How awesome, just what you needed after the trials of earlier this week, proud of you and look out 150, here you come!

I hear my small child playing in her room, it may be time to see what she's up to then we've got some hard core birthday planning to do. I'm so not a fan of small people birthday party planning but I'll give it my best and then off to get supplies and danger food, come back and do HIIT, bring it on Week 5! Not to worry I'm not the least bit interested in damaging my hard earned progress on birthday party food, I mean honestly have you ever read what's in a hotdog? gross. And chocolate cake, have you ever seen my a$$ at 223lbs? that's what's in chocolate cake ladies, giggly, dimply fat!
  • made my goal....
Hi ladies just reporting quickly from work that I weighed in this morning and have reached my goal.. 234.6
I will be going in for a hernia operation on Monday and I wanted to be down to 235... look at that, I made it....

You are all doing so well, and seem to be working hard at your own goals. Keep up the great work and good luck. I hope to check in some time post-op, and will keep you up to date on my recovery...
  • Good Morning Ladies.

Late night for me and a late start this morning. LOST came in At any rate, I'm trying to catch up, so I'll be back around lunch to catch up with you fine ladies. I just needed to come read all the news first. I'll be back in a few.
  • I can't believe there is only a bit over a week left of July. July hasn't been my best month but I did weigh today and saw a big loss! 0.8 more to go to reach goal.
  • Nello ~ on being down. I'm sure you'll see goal any day now.

Looking ~ Way to go on making that goal.

Tummy ~ darling I do not envy you. I'm in the same boat as far as planning festivities for the little ones. Just not something I look forward to. So how is the running going in the morning? You know you and Sandye probably just need a change of pace going into August. Ya think?

    Sandye
~ Good to hear things went better this morning. Honestly, I think our routines become stale after awhile and we just need to add or subtract something from them. I've been doing thirty minute sessions all week on my cardio and bumped it back up to sixty today and man did I sweat. So yeah, I just think our bodies and minds adapt to what we are doing to it. So changing things up, even a little can have a tremendous effect on you and your workout. Perhaps even scheduling those little things in to your routine will keep things fresh for you. Now for getting to 153. Oh my you are so close to goal it's unreal. Perhaps even by August? Oh and actually the feed went well last night, though I bumped it down to 25ml and hour which took forever. But the important thing is he didn't get sick on it. So I'm gonna bump him back up to 30ml tonight and lets pray he does as well. Have yourself a great night darling. Oh, I've been watching all the E3 footage and I think Wii Resort is the next fitness title to come out. Everyone is raving about it again, but they did with Active to. But I would trust Wii developers over EA any day of the week.

Glutio ~ on that pound and back.

LTTG ~ Sooo did you get your cardio and ST in today? I sure hope so.

    Blondie
~ Hey lady How goes it? Good to see you back and listen, if you want this, then you just need to recommit yourself darling. You can do it though, I have faith in you sweetie.

FSA ~ Awe sweetie. TOM is so sneaky like that. But it's good that we can take comfort in the fact that it is TOM that gets us all shaken up..eh? You hang in there kiddo.

As for me, I've just felt so behind all day. I'm gonna try to get back into bed early tonight. I just felt energy deprived all day. But like I said I got some yard work done and a good sixty minutes of my cardio which really felt great, but I felt really tired afterwards, which never happens. I guess the lack of sleep last night. I was down only like a .2 this morning, but don't really expect a loss for a few days. I threw in some very high days, during this revamp process, so my deficit wasn't very big for the past three days, but I seriously think my body needed that. So today I was back down to 1200, so I'm happy about that. The further along I get, I'm gonna raise my calories though. I don't want to be starving just to maintain a healthy weight. So eventually, I bump up my calories so that I'm on a 1lb a week loss, instead of two. At any rate, I'm outta here ladies. I hope you guys have had a great day. See you all in the morning.
  • Yay my house listing has pictures now! I got everything taken and edited and to my realtor last night, so she got things posted today. Everything with house is pretty much ready to view except for a stupid pile of stepping stones and rocks. I need to touch up some paint still, but that's not as important or difficult to deal with. I'm kind of taking it slow since I fear I may be getting sick. That or one night without my good sleepy meds did a real number on me.

    So yeah,
    check out the house
and let me know what you think!
  • That's a very nice house. Looks like all your painting paid off.
Wow a house like that in my neighborhood would cost about $350,000.
    Good luck selling it...
  • Evening all,

LTBH - I was thinking the exact same thing, at least $350,000 here too, congrats on making your goal, that's fantastic.

Glutio - Looks beautiful, not a hint of the piles of stuff that were there only a short time ago. Now let's hope it sells as fast as you go it ready!

Delphi - I'm definitely up for a change, my P90x comes in August 4 so that will be a nice change for the month. I'm loving running, except last monday, it's so nice to hear the animals in the morning and smell the dew. I rarely see anybody and that's nice too! The circuit training has helped change up the ST but I just need a little something different, KWIM? I don't know what it is about kids parties but ugh! I mean whoever invented the goodie bag should be shot! Alas, she will enjoy it and that's all that matters and I have my next four days planned out so that I can do a little prep each day without getting bogged down in tinkerbell streamers.

I think I may have figured out my holding steady problem. I hadn't entered my food intake into my software for the four days I was gone last weekend since I lost 3lbs when I came back so who cares right? Well I was getting a sneaky feeling that maybe I went too low while I was away without realizing it as I was estimating calories and I usually over estimate than under. I did write down all my food soooo, it turns out most days were around 1000 cal and one day was 950, yuck! I'm usually at 1400-1600 right now, no wonder my poor body doesn't know what to do. It's just going to need some time to adjust to being back at my regular calories before it will let go.

Off to go do some reading before bed and up with the birds to run.
