Hi all!
My weekend eating was not too great, alot of sweets, but still ate my 3 healthy meals. Tried some ice cream with no sugar added, it was good & I didn't gain as much weight as I do with the other stuff. That will be my choice when it comes to ice cream from now on. Today had 1511 cal. & walked 32min. Then I did yard work for 3 hrs. Hopefully that will help with the water weight I gained. |
Hey ladies! Just wanted to check in to say I AM still alive! And am following my goals pretty well! Though, I took my two days of not CC-ing and turned it into a week, ha. I'm actually kind of proud about that because I think I am doing very well on maintenance cals- but that won't help me get to my goal on the low end of the spectrum for maintenance!
Hopefully I'll stop in again later tonight/tomorrow to give a better update/personals! |

Trying to hopefully lose 30lbs or a little less by halloween (started a two month challenge). Im CC and watching my carb intake and eating only clean unprocessed foods. Just need to up my exercise level!!! I dont really know how this challenge thing works since im new but here are my current stats:
previous weight 206/ current weight 201/ goal weight 170 |
Goal 1 was to recover from surgery. I'm pretty much recovered but can only walk for exercise. No jogging for me yet. Goal 2 was to lose or maintain and ive lost 4 pounds so far. Goal 3 was to take up jogging. Still have plenty of time to do that. Whats everyone else's progress like?

Hey guys! It's been a couple days since I posted. I'm doing pretty good. I did a weigh-in today, even though the official one is on Friday, just to see how I'm doing. I'm down .2 of a pound, so that's good LOL. But, this is going to help me stay focused and eat well today and tomorrow.
I did circuit training on Monday and the strength training. In between each of the different exercises, during my circuit training, I've been doing 5 walking pushups. Last week I wasn't able to complete the circuit doing that. I completed the circuit, but stopped doing the pushups halfway through. This week I was able to do them through the whole thing, that made me happy. My goal for next Monday is to do the circuit twice. I also went for a walk. Yesterday I was unable to exercise due to time. Today I'm planning on doing some yardwork and then 30DS. I also need to do the pushup challenge. I'm taking the pushup challenge much slower now, since I've been struggling with it. I will get there!! I also have to go grocery shopping, normally I walk quick but my FIL will be coming with and he's a slowpoke and he likes to park close to the store.. I think I might drop him off and then walk in LOL. Anyway... off to get started on the yardwork! See you chickies later!! Sorry no personals. This morning I weighed in at 165.4. I wanna say that this is my official start weight, since previous to this, I wasn't weighing in at a consistent hour. I hope everyone is doing well! It's going to be hard for me to slowly adjust out of my "normal" habits, since my grandma takes it personally when I don't eat her food...Ah well, so far she's been cooking rather healthy things; it's just some times her foods are sodium-packed. :( Off to class and work now! Have a great 'hump day' ladies! |

My husband is on the mend and I'm back at work. I could have stayed home with him one more day but I needed some rest. Odd how coming to work was a way of resting from nursing my husband. However it was a very stressful thing seeing him as he was. I'm very proud that I have stayed the course the entire time. I'm really proud of myself!! I will count the daily running up and down the stairs as my workout because that was a lot. I was horrified to find out that TOM has arrived without notice. I hoping it doesn't hurt my weigh in too much this Saturday. I was expecting a good weigh in. OH WELL we shall see. Today's Nugget: Each person is his / her own worst critic. Take some time to focus on the good things you have accomplished thus far. You may not be at goal but you aren't where you started and the goal is within reach. |

Everyone seems to be doing well :) I stayed on plan on my birthday although I did have Subway for dinner and I’m feeling a bit bloated today from that… I’ve been walking everyday and I’ve stayed away from the diet coke. Every time I think I want some pop, I just think about this challenge and so far it’s been working. I just hope I can keep that up :) |

So far another OP day for me. I was able to get out and walk the dog yesterday, but got caught in the rain on the way home. Today it's unseasonably cold out (and just this weekend it was in the 80's...if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes!) and we even saw a little hail...so I think I will be exercising indoors this evening. I am excited that the community ed program at my school is starting a Wed. night zumba class next week! It's right after work hours, so very convenient. I'm a little nervous about doing a "real" zumba class (my zumba experience has been videos/wii), but since a lot of the people will be people I work with, we can all look like idiots together, lol. Fruit: glad you liked the sugar free ice cream. It's so nice when you find a low cal alternative that you actually like! I can't quite do sugar free ice cream, but I love my skinny cow! Corinne: nice to see you again! Phat: one pound loss already is awesome!! Sophie: 30 lbs by halloween? That's pretty ambitious! No matter what your final weigh in is, you will no doubt feel so much better after all that healthy eating :) Abby: I'm doing pretty good with my calorie goals, but need to get my 5 days of exercise per week in (last week I fell a little short at 4.) Thanks for keeping us accountable on our goals! TD: congrats on the unofficial .2 loss! Atarimae: I know what you mean about not wanting to insult grandma's cooking! My grandma always sends us home with TONS of food & groceries and stuff. (Like we're still starving college students, lol) I just can't say no. I try to give away as much as I can, but I feel so bad if I have to throw things out. Jiggle: glad to hear things are getting back to normal for you! Sparkle: great job staying OP for your b-day! Subway (to me) is an OP meal, lol! |

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been gone for a few days...had a busy weekend at work and then was off Mon & Tues...I usually only sign on when I'm at work, but need to try to do it on my off days too!! Anyways, I haven't been too bad these past few days! Even went to the state fair and DID NOT GIVE IN TO THE FRIED FOODS!! Especially the funnel cakes! LoL Did have 2 scoops of home made ice cream, but it was worth it!! Then there's today...I've been STARVING ALL DAY!!! No matter what I eat, I'm still hungry!! TOM should be here any day and its killin me! But, the only good thing about TOM arriving, is I wanna step on that scale!! I refused to do it at the beginning of this challenge because I knew it was up and that PRE-TOM water weight was there too, sooo I've been patiently waiting for a post-TOM weigh in!! I've been goin to the gym and even started adding in strength training...alternating between upper and lower body...getting 20min of ST and then 30min of Cardio...now if I can just get my hunger in check, I'll be fine! LoL
It looks like we have alot of newbies who've joined us on this challenge and I want to WELCOME all of you! For those of you who have been here, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! All of you give me the motivation I need to keep on truckin!! THANKS GIRLS!!!!!! |
I ate a lunchable for lunch today. Let me say, 410 calories was too much for that. I ate dinner at five or so...stouffers mac & cheese. I know, stellar food choices today, right? That put me 52 calories over my 1265 limit for the day. And now I'm starving. :-/ Trying to decide if I want to eat something, or just tough it out.
