We're going to a club for Halloween, but I'll still probably make the skirt a little bit longer than her's is.

My costumes usually lean towards being a little nerdy, I've done a few Star Wars costumes, I've been a bellydancer (I had real BD clothing, skirts, scarves, because I took classes for it for a while), Gaia from Captain Planet, etc. but I'd be happy to give you ideas if you need any. :)

fruitlady 09-08-2011 09:11 PM

ok, yesterday's calories were 2500, snacking too much. Today, much better at 1112 calories. I haven't walked for a week, stomach problems and constant pouring rain is why. I can't wait til the rain stops, I want to walk so bad!

abbysue715 09-08-2011 09:32 PM

My surgery went well but I am in so much pain its unbelievable. And because of the pain meds I'm having to eat a little meal pretty much every four hours before I can take my meds so they will stay down. So my goal is not gain more than 2 pounds. I can't really do any exercise at all and have experimented with the size of food I have to eat and its pretty much a meal in order to not be woozy. Have to have a carb, protein, and veggies. The baby is really sad I can't play with him and he just doesn't understand. But I am still able to breastfeeding him so that's been a blessing. I just have to be really careful since he is such a wiggle worm. I have 4 incisions on my stomach and they are all bruised with the one being around my belly. Button being the size of a softball. I'm glad everyone is doing good and I'm sorry I.don't have time for personals.

tdiprincess 09-08-2011 11:24 PM

Abbysue: YOU POOR THING!! You'll make it through. I'm glad everything went allright though! It is nice that you're still able to breastfeed! My sister had a nursing baby and then was diagnosed with hyperthyroid. With the meds, she can no longer breastfeed.
fruitlady: Nice work today!!!
Northernexposure: also, great work! WI day is always a good motivator! LOL!!
Lemonzest: I like your goals, especially the one with staying OP most of the time!! Very balanced! :D
KDM: AWESOME work!! Keep that up, you're on FIRE!!! :carrot:
jiggle: I liked the nugget for today. Very true!! Also awesome work with calories!! I will definitely have NSV goin' on! :D
Jen: Yeah, I know! :P I did rest last night. I slept great as well, pretty much fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Which is awesome!! Today I skipped 30DS as well. I like your idea of doing IF and then saving all the calories for a meal. So did you just not eat all day, or a couple of small things here or there?

Today I went for my bike ride, 6.3 miles in 29mins so just over 13mph. I did some cooking and teaching as well for "activities". I made cookies and ate about 4 LOL. I also had pizza (I only had 1 slice and then ate salad). I also had some wine. All in all, I ended up with 1780 calories, which is horrific. It may have been more around 1900 though... never really sure with wine and pizza counts. I did eat low-cal during the day which helped. I had a small breakfast and then 2 small snacks throughout the day to keep me from starving, then I was able to hold it together for dinner. Dessert I kinda ate lots of cookies. BUT, I did skip the diet and regular pop, which is part of my goal :D

Anyway... I'm off to bed. I have working the morning, then I'm planning on a bike ride with my MIL in the afternoon and then housework and 30DS since I didn't do that this week!! LOL Later chickies!! :carrot:

32.7 down!! 217.3 to go!!

jendiet 09-09-2011 12:04 AM

I will have to do more personals later, but abby, I am glad you are on the road to recovery.

11.5 miles today. I'm spent, sore, and I tracked the calories but didn't count them--probably going to be higher. I also did two things that made me hungry. Gold Gym's circuit training (resistance bands plus joggin on trampoline) and I was so sore I couldn't get up at first. Then I drank a little alcohol. hmmm....not the best way to keep tabs on your food. I will total them tomorrow.

NorthernExposure 09-09-2011 08:36 AM

Down a smidge for today's WI, not enough to move my ticker, but at least it's going in the right direction! I do have a cheat meal planned tomorrow night for DH's b-day, but hope to stay OP this weekend otherwise.

Lemon: cool costume! I may have to consult with you if I can't think of anything :)

Jen: great job putting on all those miles! You are inspiring :)

Princess: we all have to live a little some days! An under 2000 cal day with all that exercise isn't so bad :)

Abby: hope you start feeling better soon!

Fruit: hope the weather clears up soon! Days and days of rain can be so depressing after a while :(

Well, ladies, I hope you all have a fab weekend! Will try to check in, but we have a lot planned...so if not, I will catch you guys again Monday!

I'm so sorry that the rain is causing you so much mishap! I personally LOVE the rain & thunderstorms.. It's so refreshing & soothing to me.. But I do agree, it kind of throws your exercise off.. I have to resort to using exercise dvds when the weather is inclimate! Keep up tthe good work though! Hope your tummy feels better soon!

any loss is a good loss & I think we all will agree at least on that..!

Ladies, this week has thus far been a victory for yours truely. I managed to stay on plan for the most part, no soda, no candy or excessive snacking.. Plenty of water.., & I hope to see at least 1lb come off by tomorrow morning's weigh in.. if not, I wont sweat it cause as I stated before its my tom.. My mother has stopped counting & has fallen by the wayside, so Im trying to lose a few more inches & lbs so that she can be re inspired to keep going.. Im at work right now, but I will do another small check in by the end of the day. you all have a blessed Friday!

:grouphug:..

SC Vitamin C 09-09-2011 10:00 AM

Uggghh I know today is NSV day, BUT..... I gained 0.8 lbs since last Friday. I am going to start recording my calories again for the next week to make sure I am not eating too much as I have only been estimating and getting lazy the last few weeks on the food front so I need to get back on track. However, it has been more than a week now with no soda (and I am starting to miss it) but I will keep going. Doesn't help that my bf drinks like 5 cans a day in front of me. :(

abbysue715 09-09-2011 11:19 AM

My NSV is that even though my food and exercise are a little in the air right now I haven't taken a bad attitude and treated it like a free for all. I am feeling a little bit better as long as I don't move. I did get to sleep better last night.

Phat- that's so awesome that you were on plan all week and that you are trying to inspire your momma.

Vitamin c- I have to be cautious about estimating my calories too.

Northernexposure- I love when the scale moves down but I hate when its not enough to move my ticker!

tdiprincess 09-09-2011 12:21 PM

Hello all!
Abbysue: Very nice attitude! I'm glad you're starting to feel a little better though.
SC: I know what you mean with how frustrating it can be to maintain and also stay strong with your resolve to cut out pop.
Phat: AWESOME work this week. I know what you mean about trying to motivate and inspire others.
Northern: yeah we all have those days. It just feels like this week I wanted to eat and eat and eat. Have a fun weekend!
Jen: awesome work!! You are doing very well with walking and exercising!! That will really pay off!! :carrot:

I WI at the same from last week. That's not bad considering how poorly I ate this week. I do want to refocus, but I'm getting a little stressed out with it though. I need to figure it out.
I will be exercising later today. Bike ride and 30DS. I keep saying I'll do 30DS, but haven't this week LOL. I did a partial on Tuesday..
I'll see you chickie's later!!

Oh my NSV: I did measurements and I'm down 2.5inches overall. Not too bad, but I did gain half an inch on my arms, but I think that's because of my arms shaping up a bit.

SparkleBE 09-09-2011 03:55 PM

Tdiprincess: I always count not gaining as a success. And at least your measurements went down, which is awesome!
Abbysue: I’m glad your surgery went well and I hope you feel better soon!
Vitamin C: Great job on staying away from the soda! I’m still having problems with that…
Phat: Great job staying on plan during your TOM! I always find that that’s the hardest part of my month, so hopefully your month will get a bit easier from here on out.
Northern: Even losing a little bit always feels great :)
Jen: Wow! Loads of exercise, which will totally pay off despite a bit of alcohol. And it’s great that you’re able to save up your calories for celebrations so you can still stay on plan!
Fruit: I know how you feel about the rain. I always get so frustrated when it’s rainy outside and I can’t get out and walk. I hope it clears up soon!
Lemon: You have such great costume ideas!

Stayed OP this week and got in an hour’s walk yesterday and today :) I had ½ a can of diet coke today, but that’s my first one all week so I’m still doing better than normal. And I mostly managed to resist those French snacks - I had a 150 cal serving, and managed not to gorge myself on the rest.

My NSV: A couple years ago at my previous adult low weight, I bought a cute pair of shorts which were too tight for me and had hoped to lose weight to fit into them. That never happened and I’ve never been able to wear them. But I tried them on this week and they actually fit! I was so excited I did a 5 minute happy dance to celebrate :cb:

k15g15 09-09-2011 05:55 PM

Abby- Hope you feel GREAT soon!

Phat-Way to keep on plan chica!

I lost a pound:)My NSV is that I bought size 10 jeans that comfortably fit for the first time in 20 years!

fruitlady 09-09-2011 09:43 PM

tdi- Thanks, You are doing great, you still made the effort to keep you calories down where you could. I do the same thing on higher calorie days!

Northern- thanks, we didn't see the sun in a week. Finally today it peeked out!

Sparkle- Thanks, congrats on wearing those shorts!

PHAT- Thanks, your doing a great job staying on plan, you will be rewarded!

k15g- You must feel terrific about that size 10!! Condrats!!

Ok, I averaged 1482 calories a day for the week, only 91 min. of exercise( bad weather)this week. But I'm down 2 lbs from last Friday, I've been eating smaller meals, I stop eating as soon as I feel just comfortable, not when I feel too full. Realized I can't eat onions at all & maybe garlic, not sure about that yet. Stayed away from onions & garlic the last two days and w/ smaller meals, stomach is much better.
If this is what I have to do to feel better, I might drop more weight. I don't care as long as i don't have to suffer with stomach issues, it's worth it. I have to cut down on exercise if I'm losing too much, but i doubt that will happen!

tdiprincess 09-09-2011 10:51 PM

Sparkle: I Like your point of view!! That makes me feel better, at least I maintained LOL. Awesome work staying OP!! Keep it up! Awesome NSV as well! It is really exciting to fit into new clothes!! :carrot:
k15g15-awesome work also! I love getting into smaller sizes, it's quite a mood booster!! :carrot:
fruitlady: Thank you for the encouragement. I did enjoy what I ate...and drank :D Nice work with calories this week also and your loss!! I'm glad you're stomach is feeling better!

I went for 2 bike rides. One slow 8mile one with MIL. She rollerbladed. The other one was 6.5miles and a much quicker pace. I also mowed our lawn which took about 40mins. So I got some good workout in today. I didn't do the 30DS though! LOL. Tomorrow is another day. I also decided that between mowing the lawn and shopping I got another .5mile in for a total of 15miles.
I did end up indulging once again tonight. I wanted some chocolate. So my dessert was fruit and a bar of milk chocolate (I know, dark is better, but I really didn't want dark). I ate the whole bar which was 480 calories!! I ended with 1800 calories, so at least I got a ton of exercise in... I'll exercise tomorrow even though I normally don't.

47.7 down, 202.3 to go!

ovwgirl 09-10-2011 01:04 AM

Hello all, checking in for the week. It's been a challenging week thus far. I tried switching to WW core plan because I am close to my first goal and burned out on being so strict. Well, that led to two "free days" since I was switching. I tried the plan for two days and found I was overeating on the "free" foods. For the first time in 4 months I ate too much and my stomach felt too full. I decided I DID NOT like the feeling and would rather be a little hungry then overly full. So, of course, I can back to CC'ing since it has worked for me and decided I would cut down on the exercising (I need to make it reasonable and something I can do for a lifetime) and increase my calories (1200 just isn't enough any more!!). I am really happy with my body so far, so a .5-1 lb loss a week will be fine with me!
NSV: Even though I had some "free" days I still wrote everything down. With extra hard work these next two days I can stay the same weight and not gain (fine with me :) ). Then next week I change things around a bit.

Hope you all are great!
Oriana
