The goals are looking great. We are moving forward to a healthier life. I'm excited to have everyone on board for this challenge. As with the last challenge I will try to be here everyday and leave a nugget for the day. It keeps me accountable as well. I had an awesome day yesterday. I ate below my calorie range. My workout was dancing around with my toddler last night. Today I will do 30 minutes on the treadmill.
Breakfast - Tuna - 150 Calories - I think the protein in the tuna is keeping me satisfied - 40oz of water
Lunch - Broccoli - 75 Calories - 40oz of water
A. Snack - Granny Smith Apple - 80 - 20oz of water
Dinner - NOT SURE YET!!! Will def get in 40oz of water

P H A T - I will highly recommend that you give diligence to checking in everyday and posting what you have going on for accountability. It will help you stay closer to your daily plan. That's what helped me keep going and I would venture to say I'm not the only one.
Jen - Even though you didn't get in 10,000 steps you did move around. Today will be a better day.
Sara - Come on in!!!
Tdiprincess - I thought about you when I said let's have a NSV every Friday. I figured it would be extra help for us.
Fruitlady - That is a great start so if you did it yesterday you can do it today!! Congrats on the loss.
K15g15
- We are still here. Keep coming back to maintain your commitment to yourself.
SparkleBE - Welcome. You won't be new for long!!!
Northern - So good to see you back. I'm hoping to get close to where you are by the end of this challenge.
Abbysue - I love 30ds. I got great results and it was awesome for toning. I thought about starting it again and realized that I gave it to one of my friends. I need to see if she's using it so I can get it back.
ScottieMama - Sounds like a great goal and you will get it done!!
KDM - Glad to see you back. So let's get it done and we will maintain together!!!
Chickie - You are so right we can and WILL do it!!

Today's Nugget: The craving you have can be satisfied with a little bit but if you overindulge you will defeat your own self.

tdiprincess 09-07-2011 06:29 PM

Jen: Sounds like you're doing great!!
Phat: You have some really nice goals! It is very hard to get and stay on track!! Keep it up!
Sarashrinking: I like your goals, especially giving yourself comments. I think I may try to add that!
Jiggle: I LOVE NSV's!! I think I will do measurements on Friday since I haven't done those in a few weeks. I like the nugget, it points to the fact that we need to be balanced!! Give in a little to cravings, BUT not so much that we lose all our progress. That is something I'm working on! :D

Today went allright. I'm pretty much out of calories for today. I had quite a bit of cream in my coffee today and had lots of carbs. I'm actually lacking on protein today. I'm also pretty tired out from a long day and don't feel like exercising. But I will between my classes at 7 and 9. I'm going to do the pushup program at 8 and then after the 9 oclock class I'm going to push through and do 30DS.
Tomorrow I will be taking a bike ride and hopefully do a 30DS, although I missed monday's pushup program due to time and I didn't do it Tuesday either. But, it always recommends to have a day in between so I think I'll do it tonight, Friday and then Sunday. Then Monday get back to the normal routine.
Anyway...I've been feeling crummy due to the weather change this week. The weekend was hot and sunny and then Monday came and it was cold, cloudy and windy. ICK!
I did walk about .5 a mile today, so I'll add that to my mileage :D
26.4miles done, 223.6 to go!

NorthernExposure 09-07-2011 07:41 PM

Hey ladies!

Quick check in (2nd day of school today, so as you can imagine, it's been pretty crazy for me...hope to be able to do more personals as things settle down.)

Calories yesterday came in at about 1530, yay! Also did 35 minutes of brisk dog walking (with hills).

Today I will come in right around my 1600 limit. Didn't have time to walk as we had an appt right after work with the garage door guy. After dinner, etc., it's just getting too late now. Will get some yoga in before bed though.

So far, so good!

tdiprincess 09-07-2011 08:41 PM

I did the strength program. I think I'm going to skip 30DS tonight. My body is just exhausted today. I'm not too sure why, in general I just don't feel great. I think I'm going to just rest tonight. Tomorrow afternoon I'll take a bike ride and do 30DS.
northern: I can only imagine what it's like for a teacher! :D

take a rest, & dont push it! I know personally I get burned out when I push too hard...

today, I was on plan & I controlled my urges well.. these first couple days have been great, now if only I can keep it up.. Im off to bed, completely exhausted.. buenos noches, munecas..

SparkleBE 09-07-2011 10:16 PM

Came in on plan today, despite my parents returning from France with some intriguing-looking French snacks. But I managed to control myself :) It turns out today's inspirational nugget was exactly what I needed - thanks jigglefree!

Walked for an hour and a half (an hour briskly with my parents' dog and half an hour on the treadmill) and even managed to resist drinking any diet coke!

k15g15 09-07-2011 10:56 PM

Stayed in calories today...did not work out. I worked my second job or should say I still am working so I had 10 minutes between school and here, but I moved a lot of freight so I hope some calories came off.

Northern- I'm so glad to see you back! You always have a good work ethic and attitude towards your goal! Best of luck to you! :)

Jiggle- As always thanks for setting up our challenge and being a spunky cheerleader!

May the scale be with you all!

Adding another one. I have not had any diet soda for a whole week now. I want to continue this and try to get more water in even if I have to force it down. LOL.

Still no luck on the one arm pushup but I can feel that by Halloween I can get there.

Had a pretty stressful evening last night so didn't work out and ate crap but today was better and I got my workout in and feel better.

Keep it up everyone!

Hey Girls ~ its a new day for me to try to do better at.. its my tom so Im feeling a little bitchy & groggy, but whatever! Just pray for the ppl at my job that I dont unleash the dragonlady on them.. I found that I feel better during this time when I drink a lot of water.. makes the cramps go away, so Ill be drinking plenty of water throughout the rest of the day & this week.. I also need to start thinking about an exercise regimine because with the winter coming up, I will be outside less & less.. My parents have a home gym, so maybe Ill go there, wipe the dust off of it & make use.. I dunno, I just wanna do better for the end of this year so that I can kick off the new year in January on the right path..

Well, ladies, its 9:21am here in KY, you all have a beautiful September day..

:grouphug:

jendiet 09-08-2011 09:27 AM

vit C, one armed push ups are hard. Men have more upper arm strength than women by nature--so don't beat yourself up, but I KNOW you will make that goal.

k1, it is 80% diet and 20% exercise, so you are still doing great.

sparkle, I love exotic snacks, you did really well.

tdi, sounds like overtraining. You NEED a rest for recovery, then your body will be stronger than before.

Northern, i know school is hard to get adjusted to as far as routine wise. I hope it gets easier.

PHAT, halloween candy gets to me too. I think it is the nostalgia of the candy, and not the candy itself. I'm making it a goal to not allow myself more than 500 calories of junk/day. That way I can pick what I want, and save the rest til later.

Abby, i hope your surgery went well. I hope you recover quickly and can be with your little one.

yesterday, I used IF again so I could eat a big carby dinner. It was baked spaghetti. My calories were suprisingly low despite that. 1230. My pedom said I burned 1207 calories and that I walked the equivalent of 12 miles. I was pretty exhausted at the end of the day. I better see some scale movement. I didn't do any formal exercise yesterday though.

jigglefree 09-08-2011 09:30 AM

Good Morning My Fellow CCs!!!
Yesterday ended really great. I did have almost all my calories...1250. Looking forward to a great day!! I find that I need to do a big breakfast and smaller meals through out the day. That works really well for me so far. I need to get a little more enthusiastic about my exercising!!!

Remember that tomorrow is NSV day so have something to report. It gives everyone a charge to see others having success. So Have something. I weigh in Saturday and hopefully I will have a really good report tomorrow!!

Today's Nugget: Excuses are tools of the incompetent that build monuments of nothingness and those who specialize in them are seldom good at anything else. (Not sure who said this) But I like it. If you stop finding reasons why you didn't or can't you will begin to see how you can do more than you imagined.

KDM322 09-08-2011 11:44 AM

I've been OP ALL WEEK!!! And I went to the gym Tues & Wed, did 30 cardio on Tues, then 20min of upper body and 30min of cardio on Wed. Calories were great too! I've been diligently tracking them on my iPod touch with MyFitnessPal. I'm hoping for 2 weeks of OP and get rid of TOM, then I'm steppin on that scale!! LoL

Keep up the good work!! I've been reading posts every day and you guys are keeping me motivated!! Oh how i've missed 3FC!!!

LemonZest 09-08-2011 06:38 PM

Jigglefree - Thanks for starting another challenge! I'll do my best to think of NSVs for Fridays--I love this idea.

SparkleBE - Intriguing looking snacks get me almost every time. I'll try to just eat a little of an interesting treat and then just full-out cookie monster it.

KDM322 - Congrats on being OP for a week!

My goals for Halloween:

-I'd like to weigh between 170-175
-Stay OP most of the time
-Exercise atleast 5 times per week
-Look awesome in my costume

I also have a half-point goal since my fiance and I are planning taking a trip the end of this month (so I'll be an absentee again for a little while around then). We're staying at a spa and I'd like to not feel like so chunky by that point because I know he doesn't like my flannel PJs much. I'm not sure what weight that is exactly, but I'm thinking around 176-179.

NorthernExposure 09-08-2011 07:23 PM

Ended up going a bit over my calories yesterday, but it was a healthy snack (apple), so not going to beat myself up over the extra 90 or so cals.

Today I'm at about 1550, hopefully I can stick to it! With WI tomorrow morning, I'm a little more motivated to cut out the evening snacking, lol. Plan to take the dog for a walk after I get off here. Can't believe how warm it was today! 82 degrees in northern MN, in September!

Jiggle & K15: thanks for the welcome back! Good to be back :)

Phat: nice to see you again too! Hope your TOM goes away soon!

KD: congrats! Next week will be my first "full" week (I started this challenge on Tuesday). Also DH's b-day is Saturday, so I have a planned "cheat" meal then. Hope to get a full OP week in next week though.

Jen: nice to "meet" you! 12 miles, wow!

LemonZest: what's your costume? I still need to figure out what to do for the annual halloween party we host.
