My goal for Halloween is 150.
I did my 1/2 marathon today. :) Now I can start training for my hilly 10 miler. ETA: I have changed my over all goal weight. So my goal for Halloween is to make it to my overall goal of 157. |
Tdiprincess - Thanks! :) What I'm most concerned with is just focusing on eating healthy right now, the weight loss is a nice perk though. Do you blot off the grease from the top of your pizza when you eat it? I used to do that all of the time, it didn't taste different, but it cut back on some fat and calories.
NorthernExposure - Thank-you! I'll probably post some pictures after/around Halloween, hopefully it turns out as good as I'm imagining it will. Vitamin C - We all have bad weeks, so don't beat yourself up about it too much. It's great that you have a plan for getting yourself back on track. :) SparkleBE - Thank-you and great job staying OP all week! I didn't have a goal for this Friday since I joined this challenge on Thursday, but I made a point of trying to think positively about my weight the last few days and making sure I got some exercise in every day since Wednesday. My NSV for next Friday is to stay OP 75%, or more, of the time. I ate 1100 calories today, a little low for me but I'm not very hungry today. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday! |
Good morning all,
I've come around from the flu. Friday it was my going downhill and yesterday was a horrible day. I took some nite quil and slept a lot yesterday so I feel a lot better today. I didn't weigh in yesterday and my eating was no where near my calories because I slept all day. No workout either. Today promises to be a better day and I will weigh next Saturday. Looking forward to a great week. I'll catch up on personals later...got go be nurse to my husband who has the flu and his fever is breaking today. Great job on the NSVs. I'm sad that I wasn't able to join in. I will for sure have one this Friday. Today's Nugget: This journey is a one day at a time journey so today is the only day you have to do your best. Tomorrow isn't here and yesterday is gone. So make up your mind to do your best TODAY. |
I'm in. 144-145 lbs will be my weight goal and my exercise goal is to continue running 2-3 times per week but add more strength and toning sessions.
|
sumu1: It looks like you and I are about the same weight currently, and have close to the same goal! Awesome!!
Jiggle: that was an awesome nugget! I definitely didn't do my best today :T But, tomorrow is another day and so it goes! off to bed.. will catch up tomorrow |

Hey ladies.. Happy Monday Morning! I hope everyone had a good weekend because I sure did. I got some much needed rest & relaxation.. I spent some quality time with the love of my life, we've been on rough terms, but we're good now! I also spent time with my niece. I had talked about her here before.. she's meeting her goals as well, she's 5 months & 10lbs! I love spending time with her! Ive posted a picture for everyone's enjoyment! Anyway, this weekend was pretty good for me, I didn't go overboard.. I did eat a few pieces of candy, but nothing to get upset or worried about. I haven't weighed in yet, I'm trying to decide if I want to weigh in tomorrow or Friday.. I'll decide in the morning! Well girls, I;ll update some personals later when work slows down.. Everyone have a beautiful monday morning!
RIP to the lives lost 9/11/01 ;; Gone, but NEVER forgotten! :grouphug: |
Happy Monday ladies!
DH and I had a great weekend celebrating his b-day. I didn't count Friday, but had my normal weekday breakfast/lunch and a sensible dinner out (salad and turkey wrap), so I think I did OK. Saturday was his actual b-day (my second "no count" day I allow myself each week) so I knew we'd have a cheat meal that night. He picked Olive Garden...I don't WANT to know how many calories were in my lasagna rolls, lol! Not to mention cake at his parents' house afterwards. I was good though...only one small piece and no ice cream! After dinner we went to the casino for a while. Proud to report that after 4 hours or so of playing slots, we ended up even! Next best thing to winning :) Sunday I did count and stayed in my budget. I fell a little short of my exercise goal last week and only got 4 exercise days in instead of 5. Should have gone for a walk instead of watching the Vikings lose on Sunday. Oh well, it's a new week! Today I'm on track to meet my calorie goals and as tired as I am, I WILL get my exercise in too! Jiggle: sorry to hear you're sick. Feel better soon!! Phat: nice of you to post a 9/11 tribute. Like everyone else here, I will NEVER forget where I was that day. My cousin was working at the Pentagon at the time. Thankfully he was OK, but it took hours to reach him as all the phone lines were backed up. My heart goes out to everyone who lost someone that horrible day. Envelope: congrats on the half marathon! That's amazing! Everyone else: hope your week is off to a good start! |
Good evening. I'm doing better but my husband has been really sick. He's getting better though. We had to get him to the dr today because his fever kept spiking, he has a sore throat and an achy body. His body is so achy he can hardly move and he says he feel helpless. I've been home nursing him with the stuff my grandmother used to do with my grandfather. AMAZING what you do for love!!! I am exhausted. I've been in my calorie range today and running around getting things done, then to hear the dr say they have not idea what is wrong with him. It's not strep so they could only treat the symptoms which isn't as effective as I would like them to be. I've been out all day and my body feels like it has been worked out.
Today would have been the perfect opportunity to say I just need to eat whatever I can get my hands on because I'm trying to take of him. However I stayed on task. I'm so proud of myself. That may be my NSV for the week...LOL!! Today's Nugget: You are worth caring for so no matter what is going on take very good care of yourself. You are teaching others how to treat you. If you treat yourself well so will they. |
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I stayed OP, got in a walk both days, and even managed to stay away from the diet pop, so I’m happy about that. This week will be tough though, since it’s my birthday tomorrow and there’s a family dinner planned on Sunday (including cake). But I’ve got a plan, so I just hope I can stick to it. Northern: Celebrations are tough, but you did great enjoying the dinner without going overboard! Phat: Your niece is adorable :) Jiggle: I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. Rest up and I hope you get better soon! Lemon: Keep on thinking positively. That’s such a great thing to do, and something I’m going to try to do more. Envelope: Congrats on completing the ½ marathon. Way to go! |
Jiggle, I guess I posted just after you. I’m sorry that your husband is sick and I hope he gets better soon, too – it’s always so frustrating when the doctors don’t know what’s wrong. But it’s great that you stayed on plan despite everything!

After a long period of time away from these threads, it can be said that boards like these are one of the sources to my motivation.
My goal for Halloween is between 155 and 157 lbs. I hope everyone is doing well on their journeys so far! This is day one back on the "bandwagon" for me. *sighs* I need to stop letting myself slip up! |
Good morning Everyone,
I got a little more sleep last night. I'm still a little tired. I have a call in to another dr because I'm not feeling comfortable with not knowing and I think they can do some blood work and that may tell them something. I was trying to make another appointment and they didn't have anything available for today so they sent a message to the dr so he can call. Yesterday the lady only checked for strep throat. I want something more thorough. Never the less I'm going to be on plan again today despite my frustration. Atarimae - Welcome to our challenge. We are having a good time so join in and add to the fun. SparkleBE - Thank you. He has been taking some aleve but that isn't working as well as it usually does. Today's Nugget: We often give ourselves to the care of other people or things be it family, friends, our home and even work. We forget to address our needs, wants or even our health. So take some time out of your day and attend to yourself. |
Hello everyone,
I'd love to join in the challenge! My goal is 175 by Halloween, and to log faithfully each day. Have a great day! |
I'm participating in another Halloween challenge, and my goal is to weigh 159 on Halloween. Not overly ambitious, I don't think.
I'll add another component to my goal: track my calories every day until Halloween. Usually I track for a couple weeks and then decide I want something awful for me (brie and french bread, or fast food) and can't bear to see the massive overage so I quit for weeks. I just started up counting again a week ago, so LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN! |
Happy Monday!
Welcome, newcomers! Looks like some great goals. I did 30 minutes WATP yesterday, was too windy and threatening looking out to walk the dog. I hope to get outside for today's exercise, but it kind of looks like rain again. Really need to take advantage of any nice weather before winter when I will be stuck exercising inside all the time :( I'm right on track for my calories again today...that's 3 days in a row :) |
