Good Morning Everyone!!!
This is the official first day of our challenge and we are going to have some good times!!! I'm thinking we should have an NSV day every Friday...what do you all think??? I really like NSVs because they show progress no matter what the scale is saying!!! Today I'm having a heavy breakfast, a light lunch and an even lighter dinner. Breakfast - Tomato, bacon and turkey sausage omelet - 650 calories. Lunch - 2 cups of Broccoli and a granny smith apple - 140 calories. Afternoon Snack - Fiber One Fiber Bar - 140. Dinner - Green Salad and an apple w/FF Italian Dressing - 100 calories Drinking at least 20oz of water with each meal. This will end the day at 1030 calories. Today's Nugget: Start this challenge with a concrete plan that you know you can follow. Of course there will be days that are not as easy as others. Let's buckle down and get it done. |
Jiggle I'm so happy you're still around on the CC forum!! YOU are so motivating!!! I joined late into the Labor Day challenge and stated I would weigh on Labor Day...well I refused to step on that scale after the weekend I had!!! Plus, it will be TOM next week and I'm sure I'm withholding water because of that....soo, my plan is to start weighing AFTER TOM.
For this Halloween Challenge, my goals are as follows: 1) log EVERYTHING I put in my mouth 2) eat no more than 1500 cals/day (aiming for closer to 1200 tho) 3) go to gym ATLEAST 3x/wk (aiming for 4 or 5 days tho) 4) hit the 180's again on the scale (I know it's just a number and if I'm eating right and exercising, then I'm moving closer to a more healthy me, but I would LOVE to see the 180s again!!) I've had enough of gaining...I'm really beginning to think part is because of my food choices, but I also think a part of it is from my new BC...its called Natazia and its a quadriphasic and just came out last year. Even the times since I got on the pill that I watched what I ate AND worked out, I didn't lose...once I start weighing again, I will weigh every day to figure out the pattern my body follows while on this pill...ok enough of me rambling GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! I'm glad I'm back on this site bc I really need the support & motivation to get my butt back in gear!!! |
Ready to roll for Halloween!
I REALLY hope to be at my goal by then, so I'm going for 6 pounds. I did 100 days at 1200-1350 cals with 5x a week workouts and lost 34 pounds. Now I'm going to relax it a smidge and shoot for 1400-1500 cal days and 4x a week workouts. We'll see how it goes! I write down my food everyday in a Food Journal, and I also write down my excercise. WE CAN DO IT! |
ChiChi - Just wondering...when you say 5x/week workouts, what do your workouts consist of?? :) Just curious

I am ready for the challenge!
Goals: 1. Lose 14 lbs by Halloween 2. Besides walking the dogs 1 1/2 hours minimum a day, I'm going to squeeze in another exercise hour a day, whether it's dog walking an additional hour, or an hour on my own. |
Terrified of surgery tomorrow. I'm trying not to eat everything in the house but its just so hard. My house is not stocked well for emotional eating. Which is probably a good thing. I know thoasands of people get their gallbladder out daily but I'm still terrified.

abbysue: That is pretty rough! I'm sorry that you have to go through this. It's very easy to say to relax, but much harder to do it!! Everything should go great, but it's still nervewrecking! I hope everything works out and that you'll be back to yourself in no time! :hug:
Scottiemama: Sounds good about adding a bit more exercise and shedding some more pounds! Keep up the awesome work!! I started to do 30DS and then had to eat dinner and get ready to go somewhere. So, it will be waiting until I get home tonight. Kinda stinks! I have about 500cals to eat for the rest of the evening, so that's good. I need some carbs, fiber and fat. I think I'll be having some toast when I get home :D Jigglefree: I LOVE the idea of doing NSV days on Friday!! It keeps us focused on the overall progress we make rather than on one sign of progress! :carrot: I'm also going to start updating in here when I get more mileage. I think I'll do a countdown from 250miles! And I'm going to cheat by including since the beginning of this month :D Today I got in about .5mile bringing the total up to 25.9miles. So: 25.9miles down, 224.1miles to go! |

Since I'm getting back to "losing" phase after about a 3 month period of maintenance, I'm going to set some realistic goals. Weight goal: I'm going to shoot for 174, which is 100 lbs lost (a goal that's eluded me for some time now!) Accountability goals: 1. Accurately count and stick to my 1600 calorie budget at least 5 days a week (this allows for some reasonable indulgences and/or "sloppier" counting on weekends.) 2. Do at least 20 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week, even if it's just yoga! (I haven't done any "formal" exercise since the beginning of June...need to ease back into my regular routine after a summer of camping, swimming, etc.) 3. WI every Friday and report here. Can't wait to reconnect with my old CC friends and meet some new people as well! |

My goals: Lose 8 pounds Get out and walk at least 6 days each week Cut down on the diet pop (currently at 1/2 can per day) |
Ok I totally bit it on the last challenge. I'm here to rededicate myself to loosing the last 5 pounds plus start lifting weights.....

I started this challenge off great, 1282 calories of all healthy food & had a woosh!!

My Halloween Challenge goals: -drink all my water each day -enter my calories each day -continue with the c25k program -get at least 3mi walk/jog M-F -notice a difference in my progress pics -lose 13lbs -Compliment myself twice daily -Find some non-food related ways to treat/spoil myself Good luck to all of you!!! ok, so calories were great today: 1840.
I did IF and saved my son's birthday dinner for all of my calories I jogged 1 mile. so 1/5miles down I only got 5621 steps though. no circuit today though. |
