Northern: Those are beautiful pics!! This is getting me excited about going backpacking this weekend! YAY!!
I also like the conclusion you've reached on bumping up exercise a little bit.

I'm having an okay day. I did go out to eat for lunch instead of eating the lunch I made. But, I did pretty good and made healthy choices at Applebee's. I did a soup and salad combo. I'll also be eating the lunch I made for dinner instead, so I'm swapping
I have an NSV..I know it's tomorrow, but I probably won't have to the time to check in so here it is: A) I made healthy yummy choices eating out and B) the lunch came with a breadstick. I took one bite and it didn't taste good, so I didn't eat it. In the past I would've eaten it anyway. I decided it wasn't worth the calories for the taste!

Anyway..off to get dinner ready for the fam and then exercise and pack for our trip! I'm very excited!!

I would love to join this challenge too ! I would like to lose 10lbs. before Halloween. I believe I can. I exercise 4-5x weekly, I just need to improve on my eating . I am aware that I eat to late and it has really been effecting my weight loss. I plan to Stop eating late nights , I know this will get me back in line . Good Luck everyone !

I started the 6pm-6pm calorie count and made my 1600 goal without going over! I really like it so far...... it is a nice change.

Thursday: jogged 6.5km and ate 1600.

k15g15: congrats on hitting goal!!! That is so inspirational for me!

Good morning ladies! Let me first say CONGRATS K15!! You've worked so hard and earned it.

Again, I've been so absent lately...the end of a very stressful week is winding down and I'm feeling relieved. I can finally start to catch up and get ahead on everything again!

I stepped on the scale today and weighed in at 116.2! I'm shocked, because I haven't really been actively trying to lose. I've been pretty loosely cc'ing in my head but have still been going ahead with my two "unplanned" days a week. So woohoo!

Hopefully my next post I can hop on and do personals! Keep up the good work everyone!

<Rant alert>

Ok, I am beyond frustrated today. Not only did I not lose this week, I actually GAINED .2 lbs. I'll admit I haven't been perfect over the last month, but seriously...this is ridiculous. I don't get how I could maintain my weight all summer with almost no effort at all (just sensible eating--no logging--and a reasonable amount of physical activity) but now that I'm actually TRYING, I'm stuck at the same weight?? I guess my body is just in love with 178. UGH!!!

Well, for the short term I am going to drink lots of water today. My hope is I'm experiencing some water retention due to my heavier workouts the last couple of days (zumba and hiking) as well as the sodium from my frozen dinner last night? (DH had to work late, so I didn't feel like cooking just for myself.) I will WI again tomorrow (after a rest day from exercise) to see if some of this doesn't balance itself out. And here I thought I had set a nice, realistic goal for this challenge. UGH again!!

<rant OFF>

On a positive note, here is my NSV. A friend of mine who was inspired by my weight loss has also lost a good amount of weight herself. This may not sound like a big deal if you don't know her, but she recently put an acutal picture of HERSELF on FB and she looks great! I'm so proud of her. We have a girls' weekend planned in a couple of weeks (along with ANOTHER friend who's also lost weight.) Can't wait!!

K15: Congrats!!! That's so awesome and I'm SO happy for you!

Corinne: awesome on the unexpected loss, WTG!

Dumplin: welcome!

Anyone I missed: great job to those of you staying OP and getting closer to your goals. For those of you who are struggling, trust me...I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!

Went to an in-town weigh in today (on vacation) and it is newly relocated--so it is a "drop in and weigh or purchase product" location with a few meetings daily, with hours until 5. Anyhow, 176.8 baby!!! I am thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY! For 176.8!

Between yesterday morning, and this morning I lost 2.8 lbs! I have no clue how I did it since I went out drinking with the girls last night. Maybe it's because I forgot to eat dinner or because we did a lot of walking. Either way, I'm happy!

Hey everyone!!! I'm doing well. I'm 4 pounds away from my goal I set for myself. I should be there by Halloween. I swear this past month has been crazy. It's a wonder I'm not still looking at loosing 10. I will be doing my measurements tomorrow and hoping for some good losses.

K15g15 - Congratulations!!! That's awesome!!

Looks like everyone is doing pretty well. I am so proud of you all. I appreciate the encouragement from everyone the past few weeks. Some days have been very difficult but others have been really good. Look forward to the next 24 days being really good days. When I get these next 4 pounds off I will be in the 180s and that will be past awesome. I should be getting close to a size 10.

My NSV for today is I can have a size 12 dress and skirt that I can actually wear out of the house and not look like I'm struggling to get in a smaller size.

Hi all, good to read all your posts. Sounds like everyone is doing great!

I'm checking in for the week, averaged 1780 calories a day & went over my limit everyday this week. Still can't get used to eating lower calories, I'm having a tough time with it. I am at the top of my personal red line, have been just maintaining that all week. Exercising more everyday, so the higher calories won't be even more damaging. Doing alot of healthy cooking, so at least I'm eating three healthy meals a day, but still eating more junk than I should in between meals! This has to stop!

Hi everyone!
I’ve had a relatively good week – I didn’t give into my TOM cravings, which is always a good thing in my books. And I’ve been getting out and walking for an hour every day - I’m definitely enjoying the weather since it’s warm again. This weekend will be a challenge for me, as it’s Thanksgiving in Canada. We’re making more low-cal options for me, so I’m going to stick to those. But there’s just going to be so much more food than I’d normally eat at one meal. It’ll be hard not to go overboard, even on healthy food.

My NSV: My grandpa stopped by unexpectedly to take me out to lunch last weekend, and suggested going to a burger place (my favourite treat when I was young). Instead, I suggested Subway and ended up eating a relatively healthy sub rather than a burger + fries!

K15: Congratulations!! That’s so exciting!!
Fruit: It’s so hard not to snack between meals, but at least you’re getting good, healthy meals.
Jiggle: Congratulations on getting so close to your Halloween goal, and to your final goal too! You’ll be at that size 10 in no time!
Ekicna: Congrats on the loss! An unexpected loss is always so great to see.
ChickSinger: Congrats!
Northern: I really hope that you break out of that plateau soon. My fingers are crossed that the water will help and tomorrow will be lower. And those pictures you posted are beautiful – they just make me want to go walking in the woods and smell the Autumn air.
Corinne: That’s great! Your loose CCing clearly works well for you!
Unna: Thanks - I’m definitely hoping for a post-TOM woosh!
Dumplin: Welcome!
Tdi: Have fun backpacking! And way to go on skipping the breakstick – that’s one part of the meal that I never seem to be able to pass up…

Why is it that somedays 1600 - 1700 calories can seem like a lot and others it feels like starvation?

Anyway, managed to stay on track yesterday with 1600 cal. I took a rest day from jogging.

Today, my boyfriend and I are planning a 10km jog around the lake! I'll try to stick with 1600.

My semester is starting again on Monday - I work and am a full-time graduate student at the university.... it will keep me super busy and away from home, which means - no snacking! It is a blessing and a curse.

Hey guys...just checking in real quick on my phone. I'm down about a lb today, so I'm feeling better (177.5). Broke out of the 178 rut at least!! Have a great weekend, everyone!
