Sticking at 257.5 for 3 days. No exercise since Sunday. Monday had a huge headache and couldn't push myself to get on the treadmill. Hoping to get 30DS tonight, since hubby didn't get me it for mother's day (but that's ok he got me a food scale!)

Will try 30DS tonight when son is in bed :)

Hey everyone.

So far I'm doing really well today. Already did my exercise - Denise Austin interval training with focus on leg/thighs/butt. 2.5 miles on the TM.

I'm on target calorie wise, but I've been having a little tummy trouble today. I wonder if I've got a little bug? I thought over the weekend it was because of eating some out of plan foods, but I'm back on track yesterday and today and still having problems. I don't think the food is staying in me long enough for any calories to absorb!

OH! My .5 lb. Anniversary/Mother's Day gain is gone as of the morning. I'm back to where I was last Friday 195.3. I do wonder if I'll be able to make it to my goal, but I'm going to give it my best try. 7 pounds in 3 weeks sounds pretty hard. But I was thinking this morning how EXCITING seeing those 180's is going to be!

Night: I'm so sorry to hear about all the loss you're dealing with right now, that's unreal! I'm glad you made it back from Texas safely. I didn't hear you holler as you drove by though.

Jiggle: I'm so with you on the clothes thing. I have one pair of pants! I was size 18/20 for nearly 15 years, so I didn't have anything to move down to. I am still wearing alot of very baggy shirts and it does make you feel so sloppy. Every now and then when I wear something that actually fits, it does feel tight-ish. I had bought a couple size L shirts (see, no X!) about a month ago and wore one yesterday. I told hubby I felt like it was still too tight in the boobs, but he said it didn't look too tight at all. I guess it's a perception thing.

Lori: That's awesome that you had a little loss even while on TOM!

Krista: Maybe you're gaining muscles doing all that 30DS?? You're a workout woman lately!

Aluxa: You are just dropping steadily! That's awesome!

I gained 5 lbs. from Mothers Day. that buffet we go to is evil! I'm up to 111.5, so I need to lose 6 lbs. for the challenge, alot is water weight I know, but it is still depressing. My husband is trying so hard to make me happy now, that it is going to cause me to struggle with my weight. We eat out once a week now, I am having a hard time getting back to my healthy eating the next day or two after we go out. I just feel like I want to continue eating like a hog! I know I have to stop now, before I gain too much. I had 1060 cal. today, which is good, but it took alot of effort. Why does it have to be so hard????

Susie--the thought of gaining muscle crossed my mind, but I dunno! And I'm not really doing that much in the world of WO...just 30DS...but really need more cardio... It's just very frustrating considering all of April I had a consistent downward slope on the scale...now, it's up after I reached the awesome 170.6 and was sooo excited that I may be in the 160s by the time I went home for the first time since before Christmas...UUGH!

**TMI ALERT!! SKIP TO BOTTOM IF YOU DON'T WANT TMI**

I just wish my TOM would come!! This is the longest it's waited since I went off the Pill in November...but it's actually slowly been increasing...3.5wks, 4wks, 4.5wks, 5wks last month...but what's scarier than the scale being up is knowing DH & I haven't used protection! AAAHH!! We absolutely do NOT want children..and it would be our own fault for not using protection...but I went off the pill to monitor my TOM and then we were waiting for DH's new insurance to kick in so he can get a Vasectomy...I wanted off the pill bc of the weight gain (even tho I lost 40 while still on it) and also because of the mid-cycle spotting...I've been kinda moody lately and like I said yesterday, Eating EVERYING in sight! Sooo, hopefully this means TOM is just being stubborn! haha For those of you who've had kids, do you still have the monthly hormonal cycle ups & downs when you're prego??? Like the moodiness and being hungry all the time....I hope not and that this just means TOM will be here any day!! :)



I had to talk myself into doing 30DS this morning...Level 2 is just soooo hard!!! But I'm going to push through each level and then maybe follow Jiggle's lead and do 30days at each level...I dunno... I'm also planning to take the DVD with me when I go home to continue doing it...instead of being off 4days, I'll probably be able to fit it in on Friday AND Saturday...then Maybe Sunday when I get back here to TN...so I'll only take Thursday off...sounds like a plan, will wait to see if I follow through :D


Sorry I'm not responding to everyone lately, I'm just in a funk! Will hopefully be back to normal next week after my trip home :)

Hey guys...just poking my head in and saying HELLO!!! :yes:

Im proud of myself today! I didn't count calories but i was able to stay on plan anyway. I mentally added up what i ate at the end of the day and it was great.

We went to Ihop for supper and i made a healthy decision there. Had a meal that was only 400 calories. Then came home and walked the dog for 35mintues on my off day. YEAH.

Looks like everyone is doing great!

KDM~ I have 4 kids. Some women have mood swings or get really hungry or crave certain foods, but it doesn't follow the timing of menstral cycles. I wasn't really moody, how I felt about food was different with each pregnacy. If you are late, buy a cheap pregnancy test and find out! :~)


I am having a good day. I did some yoga this morning. OP with food, got a lot of things done around the house and the sun came out this afternoon, so I was able to mow the lawn and touch up the paint on my kitchen chairs!

I hope everyone else is having a good day too!

Susie that'd be one heck of a whoosh! Maybe you are just dehydrated though from being sick yesterday.

Did 30 Day shred lvl 1 today. I dunno ladies, Jillian annoys the crap out of me. I may have to mute it lol I really couldn't do it to well, my shoulder tendons are still slightly out of whack it seems. Even doing 1 handed jumping jacks hurt.

So, gonna put it on the backburner and try WATP by Leslie Sansone tomorrow and do my week 1 C25K.

Fruitlady - the going out to eat and the buffet really hinder you, have you thought about just NOT going there?

KDM - I'd get a preg test if I were you. Most doctor offices will let you walk in and pee in a cup if you want to go that route. Pregnancy is so different with everyone, but when I got pregnant with my son I KNEW it right away. I was exhausted and hungry all, the, time. I hope you aren't though, because I know that's what you want!

Still fighting pneamonia here. Doctor did a check up today and the xray is showing it in both lungs now. AWESOME! Haha. TOM also hit today. I'm rockin it this week. Teaching is difficult. No sick days left on my contract so teaching while wearing a mask and really sick is no fun. On the plus side, weight is still dropping slowly but surely. Haven't seen the gym for a week and a half, and it will be another week before I'm cleared to go back. UGH! I know I should enjoy this rest time but I really miss it! I was totally getting into a habit and a nice groove. On another plus side, 49 days and I will be home for my visit in the good ole USA and be able to tell you all about my family's reaction to my weight loss so far!

Good morning! Well I was down 0.4 this week. At least it's a loss, but I think it should have been lower than that. I ate a fairly large dinner last night, but I did not go over on calories. Usually when I eat later at night, my weight is higher in the morning. So I'm hoping tomorrow morning will reflect the fact that I've been OP all but 1 day this week.

Shan: I'm sorry to hear you still have the pneumonia! I hope you start feeling better soon. I can't wait to hear all about your family's reaction when you come home!

Krista: There's no sense in torturing yourself wondering, just go buy an equate test at wal-mart (cheap and accurate) and get it over with. I must say, when you first started talking about how you're feeling my first thought was pregnancy, but I didn't want to say it unless you were thinking it too. I've been pregnant 4 times, but couldn't carry them to term - my kids are adopted.

Fruitlady: Maybe when you go to the buffet, just don't weigh for a few days. They probably put lots of sodium in the food. It always comes back down for you, but if you're going to enjoy the buffet periodically, you don't need the stress afterward of seeing that jump on the scale.

Ok, off to change a diaper - it's a stinker!! Glad I'm not feeling nausea any more!

p.s. I'm wearing my size 12 shorts today! So maybe my whoosh is real???

Hello Everyone. Been a little frustrated lately. My big clothes seem bigger but my smaller clothes seem awkward. I have decided that it's because of the chunks of fat sliding down from the top of my thighs to the middle of my thighs. I will check on the clothes later. I've been eating on plan and working out faithfully. I know my body didn't look like this on the way up so it's a mystery to me. I just resolved to wearing the too big clothes until the just fall off when I put them on. On a good note: I did 30DS at the gym from memory yesterday and was sweating like a little piggy.

KDM - You may want to stop the 30DS until you verify if you are pregnant or not. You could be and that work out is really strenuous for pregnant women. As for your question...I didn't have up and down hormonal cycles until after I had the baby. I was uber emotional while I was pregnant. Since you don't want a baby now I hope you see your cycle soon.
Shylah - If your shoulder is sore/hurting 30DS is not the workout to try and do because it really makes it worse because you work your shoulders a lot. I think doing something else is a good idea.
Shan - Get better soon!! :hug:
Susie - Congrats on the loss and the size 12 shorts. :D Yes change your ticker!!! Stay on plan and the loss will stick.

Shylah and Susie, Thanks, I go to the buffet cause my husband loves the meatloaf they make. I am going to suggest another place next time, but I don't know where it would be safe for me to go. The buffet does add alot of salt to their food, and no matter what, I always gain water weight, even if I don't stuff myself to the hilt. I have to weigh myself every morning, I would feel lost if I didn't and I wouldn't know exactly how hard I have to try to lose it.

I lost 2.3 lbs of water yesterday, it's finally coming off. I had 1070 cal today, I feel really satisfied on that amount today. It helps that I was not hungry for chocolate or anything sweet today. Too bad it's not always like that. 4lbs to go for the challenge!

Jiggle: I noticed these big blobs of fat on the sides of my thighs that I've never seen before. They kind of dent in like a baby's thighs. I think it's just an odd way that the fat is "melting". Maybe you're fixing to have a whoosh soon too! I think I'll re-weigh in the morning and see if I'm still the same and if so, I'll change my tickers tomorrow! That is just such a huge change that I'm having a hard time believing it! But then again, these shorts did not fit a few days ago!

I kind of thought you must be having a tough time because you get quiet when you have your hard times. I truly think our "cycles" mess with our minds. I've been finding I feel down right after my TOM. Are you taking measurements on a regular basis? Keep talking to us when you feel down. Don't forget how far you've come!

On the pregnancy subject, I have to agree on the Equate test. I used one with all three of mine and they were accurate before I was even late.

So far I am doing pretty decent with my challenge. No fast food!:carrot: :carrot::carrot:

and I'm down 3 lbs! 5 more to go to make my goal. :D

I'm struggling with keeping my calories at or below 1200 daily. My workouts are going great with at least 45 minutes on the elliptical every night for six days in a row!:ebike::ebike::ebike:

So I was going to wait until Friday to weigh in, but since TOM ended yesterday, I just had to. Haven't weighed in since the arbor day challenge due to being on the road last week, followed by TOM.

Anyway, I'm down about a pound! Normally I'd be P.O'ed at such a small loss in 12 days, but considering I pretty much ate whatever I wanted all last week, I'm thrilled! It was also just enough to change my avatar to -45!

5 lbs to go for the challenge. Need to keep OP the rest of the month!

Hey everyone... Just wanted to check in. Its been a CRAZY stressful week. Trying to get all my finals and projects done. I just have one left, although I only got 3 hours sleep last night. :eek: UGH... almost done. And going out of town this weekend for my best friends birthday. SO I think I am just going to weigh in friday, before I leave.

On a positive note I ordered 30 DS and 2 others, it was a pack of 3 and they came today. Prob wont get to it tonight but definitely tomorrow. I'm excited! lol... Hope Everyone is OP and having a great week!

Thanks everyone for the advice!! I will probably try that equate test by the end of the week. I actually bought one a few months ago just to have it since I went off the pill....maybe I should find it tonight and take it in the morning...but then again, maybe I shouldn't get stressed before flying home?!?!? I got excited this morning thinking "it" was here, but haven't seen anything since...

I did 30DS L2-D5 today...it's not really getting easier like it did with L1...but I"m getting through...and YES, I packed it today to take w/me to WV :) I asked on the 30DS thread about moving on to L3...should I wait longer than the 10days, or just move on after 10 WO's??

Amelia--GOOD JOB STAYING OP AT IHOP!!! I would not be able to do that!! I LOVE PANCAKES!! haha and they're not too calorie-friendly!!! Whatever happened with that job interview???

Krista: I (officially) weighed in last Friday, but I'd not had but about 2 pounds lost over the last 3 weeks. I seem to lose tiny, tiny, whoosh, tiny. But never in my wildest dreams would I imagine a 6.8 pound whoosh!! I'm holding my breath that it will still be there in the morning when I weigh in! I've been weighing about every other day on my schizo bathroom scale, but I only count the WiiFit for official weigh ins.

Jiggle: I stayed OP today and even exercised even though I didn't feel like it. I came in at 1558 calories for the day. I had 4 slices of WW bread/toast throughout the day trying to calm my tummy. The nausea finally left after lunch time. I'm hopin', prayin', wishin' that the loss sticks so I can change my tickers tomorrow.

Northern: that is awesome that you lost a pound even with your trip and all you've been dealing with. I'll bet when you get strictly back OP you'll see a whoosh!

Weighed in today...171.5 (-2.5) woohoo! My goal was to get to 170 by memorial day, so its well in reach, but even more exciting, its highly possible I'll be in the 160's next week.

Workouts have been going well. I just added a mat pilates class twice a week. Hopefully it will tighten up everything as I loose the last 30 or so pounds. Yesterday kicked in TOM and My DH very sweetly came home and made fresh choc chip cookies. It was so hard with the smell everywhere, and DH and DS asking me to try them, but not even 1 chip went in my mouth. I was definitly rewarded on the scale today.

Susieyarb Congrats on the huge weightloss sticking!!!! Have a great anniversary, hopefully you have something special planned.

KDM322 My fingers are crossed that you get the answer you want on the test.

I'm doing well. I had a great workout yesterday but may not be doing anything today because i have been having chest pains and have to go to the dr to see what that's about. It only hurts when I'm not wearing my good bra or if I'm bra less. But eating on plan so I don't have any trouble. Actually I'm hoping it's gas because nothing else is bothering me. I will be taking it easy until the dr tells me what's going on. If he okays me I will resume my 30 days of 30DS. I've been doing so well and I want to be able to say I stuck with those 30 days.
Susie - :celebrate: Happy Anniversary!! Congrats on the loss. I knew it was time to move that sticker!!! Thanks for the encouragement. I do measure every week so I can keep up with myself. My losses are smaller than they used to be but thankfully I'm going down.
Northern - I feel better knowing that others are seeing those blobs too. Not that I'm happy but I feel better...There's hope for these legs because they look better covered up. Welcome back. Missed You.:hug:
KDM - I don't think level 2 gets easier...at least it didn't for me. I thought it was me and I needed to loose more weight. Which is why I decided on the 30 days of 30DS. Hoping it gets better for you. :exercise:
Beach - Welcome to the 30DS club. Enjoy it. Let me know when you get to level 2 and if it gets better after a week or two. :D
Six - You are doing the thang!! Good job on the workouts :strong:

Oh by the by - I tried on the TSPs last night and they fit better. I'm going to be able to wear them Saturday!!! :yay::yay: I also tried on a pair of jeans that I could barely pull over my hips when I first started and they slid right on zipped and buttoned NO MUFFIN!! I've been working really hard to make sure I make my goal and it's looking good!! :dance::dance:

My workout is done for the day. I walked the dog for 30mins then did level one of 30 day shred. Im back to counting calories today.

So, i feel like a big whinny baby right now but ive got to get this out if i want to move on. I have been doing great all day on my diet but by the end of the day all **** breaks loose and i have this over whelming urge to eat at night and lately i have been giving in... but NOT ANYMORE, that crap stops today. I'm making a comment to myself today that no matter how upset i get,how sad,depressed,frustrated, mad or just plan lazy...im going to stay on plan.

KDM-I have the second interview tomorrow, wish me luck. Good luck with the pregnancy test!!!

It turns out the reason I seemed to have lost so little this past week was because I ate late the night before. Yesterday I ate at my normal time and I was down another pound this morning (174.8), which puts me at a 1.4 lb loss for the week! It feels so good to finally have the scale moving again that it has made it much easier for me to stay OP.

hello all!!

It's been forever since I have been on here, I haven't had much free time for myself, i've been studying so much for my finals it's been crazy! I have my last one tomorrow at 10:30 am, so i've already been studying to get as much time in as possible. i did work out today too, just studied while working out. funny thing actually, it makes the work out time go by faster!! thank you all for your kind words about my mom, i'm so glad that she's fine!! i'm sure that was a great mother's day present for her, to have clear results. I am down 4 pounds, so I only have 11 more for my goal. I really think I am going to get this one. I just need to step up my exercising a little bit more. I have been staying OP during this whole process of studying, which is great, because usually eating comes with studying. haha. I also have another motivation to work for, I'm going to Chicago the end of June, just for a few day for a concert that my friend wants me to go to. She's paying, so I'm like, definitely! haha. I want to be looking the best I can and the best I have been in a few years by the time June 28th comes, so I gotta step it up!!

Well i better get back to studying. I will be on more starting tomorrow, once school is done for the semester. thank God!! Looks like everyone is doing pretty well, keep up the good work!! :)

jiggle: I hope that you're ok! It does sound like a pulled muscle, my dad has had that before and if that is your only symptom then you are more than likely fine. :) He just didn't complain about the bra thing... haha :)

Good Afternoon Ladies!!!

Lunch with my mom was good. I went 300 over my 1500 cal limit for the day. Not too bad, could have been worse.

I had a little NSV this morning. I bought this CUTE dress to wear for when DH got back home. I bought it months ago when I was still delusional and thinking I still fit into a size 8. I just bought it, I didnt try it on at all. Its a "wiggle" dress, its black with pink polka dots and it bottons closed straight down the front. I tried to put it on when I got home that day and I couldnt button it at all. Ive been trying it on every week or so and today I got it buttoned all the way lol. Obviously it doesnt fit well enough to wear out in public yet, but its getting there. I will definetly have to buy something else to wear for when DH comes home. He's due back in about 10days.

I depend upon my hubby to nearly do everything for me & now since this Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) has kicked in & is puttting him down quick ~Its making very rough on him & me & our kids.My Lung Doctor appointment is Monday(the 17th)Not sure if They can tell me much the first day But I am hopeful.....Scared & anxious for answers.I am sticking at 156 to 157 in weight & Am definetly at a plaqtue Or whatever it is called~LOL can't think~which is driving me nuts! I just wanna get to my 150 & say HEY I DID IT! cause I feel like such a loser in life right now~not breathing correctly holds ya back from life & I just wanna live.(I am sure my hubby & kids needs the help) PRAY FOR ME~I am an emotional mess.~Will type again soon.
(OH & I discovered facebook so been checking it out for a few days.)

At the doc's office and she said it seems like gas. Of course the pain was gone and I sounded like a crazy lady explaining the pain. I'm happy though. She made me get on the scale and it was bad but good. I found out the gym scale is sooooo wrong but I weigh less than I have in six years. I will keep plugging along!! I was happy to see that.
The dr. said I have a good attitude about life. What should it be since I don't have any heart issues. My heart sounds strong...it has to be all that working out!!! Well back on task with my 30 days of 30DS!!! YAY!!!:carrot::carrot:

jiggle~ glad everything is ok. My sister had to go to the ER last week because of chest pain, after numerous tests they concluded she had a strained muscle from her new job. Very scary, so glad you (and she) are both ok.

Lori~ you are not uninspiring anyone. Too me, the fact that you are staying OP and not gaining weight back with so many things to deal with is very INspiring. :hug:I (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) am praying for you. Hang in there. :hug:

I have a busy and exciting morning, will post about it later. WI is on Mon. so nothing new to report about weight. I am sticking to plan, so hopefully Mon. the scale will say nice things to me!:)

Hi everyone! Still doing my walks everyday w/ some jogging for 40 min. Since I added the jogging I get hungrier at night and I don't like it. But, I drop weight like crazy, so it's worth it. It only took me 4 days to lose all the weight I gained from the buffet on Mother's Day. I'm back to where I was, 106.7. I had 1135 cal today cause of my extra hunger, but now I'm satisfied. The sad thing is I have been thinking about where to eat w/ my hubby or what I'm gonna pig out on once I hit my goal of 105lbs. I'll gain again! I'm so so stupid!

Sorry to be b*tchy again this challenge just alot going on in my life.

I was wondering about your doctors appt as well, glad to hear its monday. Im crossing my fingers that he can give you some quick answers/advice that can help. I know you and your DH have been through so much and there isn't a day that goes by that i don't think about this thread and how inspiring everyone is...thanks you for keeping these challenges going! If hugs are making you feel better at the moment, then here are a few more:hug::hug::hug: take it easy gal, be b#tchy all you want...thats what where here for!! :p
