Hey ladies!!
Tomorrow is my try on the TSPs day and I'm excited. I'm sure they should fit well enough to wear out with the girls. I will let you know. I got 3 liters of water in but it took all day. A friend of mine come over to visit last night and she was there a while so I told she would have to watch me workout because I had to get it done. So I did. She hadn't seen me since before the New Year and was impressed with my progress!! She kept saying, "You look so thin"! It felt good because she can be hard on me. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone post their progress for the first week of the Challenge!! Lori - I love it. I think you are looking FAB!! I showed my friend your before and after pictures and it blew her away. She couldn't believe how different you look in your after pictures. Congrats on your progress!! Keep up the good work. Shylah - I thought about you when I was looking at the TSPs debating with myself if I should try them on or not. I didn't!! I know you said you would be trying to get into an 18 but that's where I was, "Trying to get into and 18" when Susie sent them to me. Think about it!! :chin::chin: Aluxa - That is a beautiful garden!! Farn - That is great news about your mom. I am proud of you for making sure you were there for her. Congrats on the whoosh!! Sugar - Glad you heard from your husband. That had to be so stressful but the relief is just as intense, I'm sure. I will be praying that he has a safe return also. :cheer3: One week down. If you count seven days as the week. I feel great. :cheer2: We are doing good so far so let's keep :hun: eating on plan and moving our bodies for maximum results. :yoga::bike2::woops::strong::ebike:Do what you love but get it done!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Here's a little something for you if you are having a bit of a struggle...:dust::dust: |
Hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday! Can't complain here. Short day at the office. Struggled a little yesterday. They did 3 biopsies and after that I just did not feel like working out so I didn't. But in the middle of all that I did have a small nsv. My sisters bf made homemade Mac and cheese and I only had the tiniest taste of it and man it was good!!!! But I know how I would have felt if I ate more. Now I just have to stay away from it when I get home.
jiggles just wanted to throw a thanks your way. You are so uplifting and motivating!!! Sorry for any typos. I'm avoiding work and am sending this from my BB. Lol. Come on 2 o'clock. |
Good Morning Ladies!!
I did good yesterday calories wise. I definetly need to bump up the exercise though. I LOVE doing work out DVDs at home. Does anyone have any suggestions on DVDs that also use free weights? I tend to use my Netflix account to order workout DVDs that way if I dont like them, I didnt pay to buy it, I can just send it back and get the next DVD on my list. Hope everyone has an Awseome Friday!!! |
No treadmill today, rough night. Arm was so sore I ended up going to the doctor this morning. 2 torn tendons in my arm / shoulder. HOW? i don't know. All I do is get on my treadmill lol Gonna try it tomorrow if I'm feeling any better, the jogging / rocking motion is killer. I really need another day this week to stick to my challenge of 3x a week.
I REALLY want to start 30DS too. ugh ugh ugh! Jiggle - the pants are enticing! I'm currently in a stall at the moment though, I'd hate to hold it up. BUT, I'll be next after someone else :p |
Lori: :thanks: They are boxwood shrubs. The picture is from last summer, and they grow a lot last year so although they were trimmed, they were not in their best shape lol. I cannot plant those flowers until next week because of NJ weather, but that is how my garden will look next week. How are you feeling with the spring weather and your new medications?
Jiggle: :thanks: for your kind words :) :congrat: for your achievements, it feels great when someone notice our efforts! And I agree with beachlover you are uplifting and motivating for us. :thanks: for that too! Here it is my update for this week. I’m under my first goal weight for this challenge, so I’m ready to work for the 160! 165 was a small goal but after not losing weight last week, it did not look that small! Thanks to all of you for your support and motivation. Sw: 167.4 Cw: 164.4 Gw1: 165 (done) Gw2: 160 (4.4 to go) WL: 3.4 |
Hey Everyone.
This has been such an intense week. I was on vacation last weekend and overate (or rather, had way too many margaritas) but mostly worked that off by walking through Disney World from open to close one day, then spending all of the next day swimming (and lounging). Made my goal for the week so it wasn't too bad. I pulled a muscle swimming on Tuesday though and am visiting my brother in California and have been unable to find some of my usual foods. No exercise other than walking up these incredible hills. I just bought a new bike yesterday and went for my first ride here and am still a little confused on what's considered acceptable since no one seems to signal. Also, I have no idea which way is North yet so my map tracker has me zig-zagging all over the place. Anyway, I'm just trying to adjust to all the changes and have still been on track. Hope everyone else is doing well. Oh, and my goal for this challenge is to lose 7 pounds. I'm definitely more suited for the slow and steady route. |
HOLY MOLY!!! I did level 2 of 30DS AND IT WAS A KILLER!!!! I thought I was literally going to die!!! I hope I'm not too sore tomorrow to keep going...Jiggle you were soooo right!! :)
As for my measurements....not much difference...it was kind of depressing...it's weird bc I can feel the difference in my pants...maybe I measured in different places? or pulled the tape too tight last week...who knows, but there were like .25inch different in my legs and about an inch in my hips and belly...I guess I was expecting more! oh well, atleast I can tell in my clothes...... With TOM supposed to arrive any day now, I've been grazing WAAAY too much! I've been right under 1500 every day this week, but I was really wanting to stay closer to 1200 the first half of the month bc I know I'll be off plan when I go home next weekend...maybe this bump in calories will "trick" my metabolism and send me into a big whoosh!?!? haha there I go "wishing" again!!! haha Hope everyone has a GREAT WEEKEND!!! |
Quote:
jigglefree Good luck with your calories, its tough to be on the low end. I got my HRM from the running store where I buy tennis shoes. But the selection online is much better. I've also been looking at this thing called the fitbit, looks interesting. Also what is a TSP? zoochick777 Congrats on the weight loss! I am disappointed with this week. I worked so hard and only a single pound came off. I'm crossing my fingers that its due to the impending TOM, and hopefully I'll have a rockin' wi next week. Hope you all have a great weekend! |
I feel great today, I lost 5 lbs of water weight in 4 days which is a new record for me. That Sunday and Monday binge really made me sick, I averaged 1150 cal a day for the past three days which 100 cal. higher than normal for me. I am a walker, I've been taking 40 min a day( everyday) power walks for the past year and two months ago I started including some jogging in w/ my walks. That really torches the calories, so I noticed I'm a little more hungry. I can lose weight alot faster now when I overeat, I gained much more muscle in my legs which really helps. Today I had 1160 cal., I can't wait to see what the scale reads tomorrow.
|
Just wanted to check in and say I am still here, still on plan. It's been a quiet week here, so I don't really have much else to report on.
|
Jiggle~Have I ever said haow much I adore ya baby girl?THAT MADE MY DAY!
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!! OH & its nearing my "tom" So I am back up to 157.2 again today~UGH! I usually drop a few pounds though once I start it.~so nothing new much for me to report for the week~OTHER THAN I ADORE U! aluxa~Loved it! I think boxwoods are so nice! I have none though I truly need some~LOL I wanna buy some & Create Shapes with them~such as cartoon characters & Hearts /stars ,Stuff like that! It would be art to me & so fun! I can draw cartoon characters well But wonder if I could trim them into a strub~I am so curious! hehehehe Well Off to walk~I am so tired but gotta do it & were getting ready to get horrible storms here in OHIO So pray for us all here.~Dropping form 88 to 50 degrees in a matter of a few hours so storms are On there way! HUGS ALL TAKE CARE! |
Lori~ hope the storms bring just enough to keep your flowers growing, and don't cause any trouble as the pass through
jiggle~ your posts are always so motivating; they help keep me going. I have been doing very well at staying op. Since the 31st is a Mon. I am sliding my WI day to Mon. as well. I went to the track this afternoon for some exercise...I jogged 3/4 of a mile without stopping. I went REALLY SLOW (took 11 min), but I jogged the whole way. I have never jogged continuously for that distance or time. I am so proud of myself. I noticed that since I started jogging (about a month ago) the dimples on the back and side of my thighs are less pronounced (still there, just less noticable).:carrot: I am so greatful for all of you. I know I don't post much, but I read your posts everyday and they really help keep me moving in the right direction. Thank you all. |
Good Morning Ladies!!
Im feeling really discouraged this morning. When I started counting calories at the end of April I decided to stay within the 1500-1700 calories range. Ive been eating between 1500 and 1600 calories most days. I take my dog on 2 15min walks a day, and I do a workout DVD everyday and the scale isnt moving. Should I drop my calories lower, to like 1300? At my highest I weighed 215 and I went from there to 148, I didnt stay at 148 very long, Ive been maintaing in the 160's for the past 2 years. Im SO ready to get out of the 160's but it feels like I always get to 162, then TOM comes and it jumps to 164, and then it starts all over again. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the scale moving (down lol) again??? |
mkyice~All went well Stormed but bad ones was away from where i lived...Now just gonna be cold for a few days...off to get something to eat
GOOD JOB WITH JOGGING!! Bye Bye dimples! TTYL! |
sugarrox~goodmorning to u 2! I have no idea my scale is at a turtles pace!
off to get something to eat |
Lori: you may want to try. I have others on the front of my home and they are spiral like shaped. With the right tools it may not be something really hard to do.
I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day to all of you!!! |
mkyice--I noticed the same thing w/the dimples after I completed the C25K program...speaking of, I need to start jogging again!!! :) BTW, I also changed my WI days...I have been changing them to match the day these challenges end on...
Sugar--it wouldn't hurt trying 13-1400 for a week or 2...I've been consistently losing 1lb/wk ranging from 12-1500...if it doesn't work after a couple wks, then you could try another number...we're all different...and 1300 is definitely NOT TOO LOW...GOOD LUCK!!! Lori--Glad the storms didn't hit ya too hard...Nashville is FINALLY starting to clear up...the flooded areas are a disaster!! AND, the Wal-Mart in my town was totally flooded...the parking lot is crazy w/dumpsters...I guess they lost everything...it sucks bc that's where I did ALL of my shopping, but I'm very thankful I wasn't personally affected by flood waters at my home... Aluxa--Congrats on hitting your 165 goal...NO LONGER OBESE!!! Isn't it a great feeling? I was thrilled when I became just "Overweight" LoL...Keep up the good work!! As for me, I did day 2 of Level 2 on 30DS...man, it's a killer! surprisingly I wasn't sore today...ALSO....I think I'm officially in a size 12...I just got back from shopping and bought like 4prs of shorts, 2 capris, 1 dress pants (for work) that were all sz. 12 from all different brands...and 2 shirts & a dress that were size L...the only probelm i'm having is still in my upper legs...some of the 12s were WAY too tight in the legs/butt, but the 14s were then like 2-3inches too big in the waist!!! I've really been slacking on my cardio (well slacking really doesn't apply when there's been NONE since I started 30DS! LOL) and I know you need it to burn fat, but I had been doing mostly only cardio since I started in Sept. and wanted to do 30DS for strength training...I thought I'd concentrate on completing the 30DS, then add in cardio while re-doing 30DS 3x/week....but maybe I should add cardio now??? I dont know?!?!?! HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE!!! |
aluxa~yes I think I will try in the future...Once I get a few dollars ahead~saving for propane fill up for next winter & Christmas, & School clothes & emergencies~I prepare early~LOL.....But maybe i can squeeze one in.I really wanna try it.
KDM~So glad you wasn't effected yourself & I hope they get everything up & running soon fr ya~there still all in my prayers!! OH & your must be shaped like me~try on Jrs. sizes maybe a 15 jr or a 13 jr will fit just right! I have had to wear alot of the in between sizes LOL! Or just go for leggings they are so in style right now! HUGS! Off to do another round of walking which should thrill my family~My "TOM" Is making me a real "B" today ~LOL My family is thankful I am online ignoring them for the moment ~hehehe! |
Hi everyone, I had 1175 cal. today. Somehow I am able to eat 100 more calories a day and lose weight like crazy. I think it's the little bit of jogging I am doing with my walks. I lost 1.2 lbs. yesterday, so I am down to my goal! Mothers day is tomorrow, I'll probably blow it again!
|
Hello everybody,
Finally feeling much better today. Its a gorgeous day outside, and I am excited to get out and take a nice long walk. Its the first time in almost a week that I get to do any kind of exercise:carrot: Even though I have been OP for the most part (had a few indiscretions on Thursday, oops:o) I am nervous about weigh-in. Anywho... HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! |
So... I weighed in this morning. Down 1 lb. :) I'll take it with the stressfull week I had. Still have 1 more final for this term which I am hoping to get mostly done tomorrow. I only got 4 workout days in this week. :( Was going to make it today until my sis invited me to the outlets. A shopaholic like me cannot turn down shopping at outlets. lol.. So I guess i will just have to make up for it tomorrow. Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend!
|
Happy Mothers Day!!
I weighed in this morning, even though my official WI is Monday, and Im down 1lb. Hopefully is lasts until tomorrow lol. Im making a blueberry french toast casserole to take to my moms for brunch this morning. Obviously its not the healthiest dish, I didnt do the numbers but Im sure its WAY over my calorie allowance for breakfast. Im only going to try a spoonful. :) I hope everyone has an awesome day. |
Happy Mother's Day ladies!
I only got 2x of working out this past week. Stupid arm cut me down for 3 days. Good news is I'm already down 1 day for this new week. I will totally get 3 to 5 more. Also down 2 pounds in the past week. SO happy to see my scale finally moving again. It's the best motivator ever, even though I know it shouldn't be. Watch out 240s! |
Happy Mother's Day! Just checking to to let everyone know that im still around.
Have a wonderful day:) |
Happy Mother's Day to all the CC mothers. I tried my TSPs on yesterday, they fit a little better but not where I want them yet. I was a little frustrated because it want them to fit by next weekend. I've been working really hard but it's cool. I will be very attentive to what I eat this week. No salt and no sugar and I will be doing plenty of water. I went out with one of my friends last night and I was so proud of myself. I ate before I left home and didn't eat anything while we were out but I had a couple of drinks. Not sure how many calories are in a shot of tequila and a glass of Chardonay. I had a good time but was out waaaaaaaay past my bedtime.
Hope everyone is having an on plan and victorious day!! I will be checking in tomorrow to see how things are and cheering everyone on for this week. I'm still a little tired from last night but I wanted to check in for my accountability. |
HAppy Mothers day~spending the day with my kids~HUGS TO ALL!~
|
I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day (even if you aren't a mom, I still hope you had a nice day). It is Monday, so I stepped on the scale. I was a little nervous about it because I feel like I am retaining water, my rings are snug this morning, but I am down 2.4lbs since the last time I weighed just over a week ago (I switched weigh day from Fri to Mon for the challenge). I am very pleased with that loss.
I hope everyone has a great week. Edit: I just saw my ticker and I am just over halfway to my overall goal!!!!!! |
Hope everyone is having a good end to the weekend. It's Monday here in SK. Still fighting pneamonia but back to work because I have no sick days left.
On a plus side, I was down 5lbs this past week thanks to being sick and all. Woohoo! A loss is a loss. |
KDM: :congrat: for the size 12! I'm no longer obese since 169 and I feel a lot better :)
Tink2lose: :congrat: for your exercise and OP week! Beachlover: you have to think positive, shopping can also mean walk and that is exercise too LOL SugarRox, Shylah, and mkyice: :congrat: Shan: :congrat: for that 5 pounds and I hope you get well soon  |
Week #2
Good Morning ladies,
I've finished recuperating from Saturday and it's week 2 of our challenge. This will be a great week. I'm on my second liter of water and will be going to the gym in about an hour. Looking forward to seeing a good loss this week. I'm supposed to be in a size 16 by Sunday, that's what my goal is and I really want to make it. I will make a point of not being disappointed if I'm not because thankfully I'm not where I used to be and not going backwards in that direction. I have a question for you ladies that are past where I am. The old clothes I had before I started loosing weight are ALL too big :D:D, however, the couple of items I got a week ago from Goodwill are fitting comfortably but sometimes I feel self conscious, because by comparison they feel tight. I can't seem to find anything that is a "perfect" or even an ideal fit for my body. How do I deal with that? I look cute in what I wear but it takes me forever to get dressed. I changed clothes four times this morning because it was hard to find something that was flattering and not slouchy. What are you doing today to get to goal??!! :trampo::swim::strong::yoga::exercise::running::eb ike::woops::hun::stir::cofdate: Whatever it is give what you have and do it with you in mind!! |
237 on Saturday.......and then HELLO TOM.......lol! So, I guess I will see next Saturday what I have really lost. With my goal to be out of the 230 by the end of this month- I should be able to accomplish it!!
jigglefree: I wish I had that problem (one day I will....lol). My clothes are just actually starting to fit like they should instead of being too tight. I no longer have to do the "squat and stand" dance with my pants.......lol |
Good Afternoon Everyone!
I haven't weight myself since last Thursday and I had finally broken out of the 220s and was at 218.8. But....my hubby and I went out of town this weekend and we ate out a lot. I tried to stick to good portion sizes and sensible menu items, but you can never be sure how much sodium or fat you are consuming at non-chain resturants. Plus my TOM is starting soon, so I'm sure that I will be slightly up or maintaining for the next week or so. *sigh* 215 is so close... Hopefully I meet my goal and I weigh 215 or less when I go down to DISNEY for Memorial day week!!! |
Good Afternoon Ladies!!!
Today was my official WI day and.....159.6!!!!! YAY!! lol a 2.4lb loss. Only 5.6 lbs till I reach my Memorial Day goal. I feel motivated again...and by the end of this challenge DH should be home. Today is GREAT day. :) I gave in this weekend and decided to give gardening another shot. I got 2 big colonial jasmines, 2 rose bushes, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, mint, pineapple sage, vinca, zenias, black grapes, lavander and begonias...lol hopefully I dont kill anything. |
Hey CC Challenge friends,
Did you wonder where I went? Whew, I had a fun, busy weekend. Hubby and I went on Friday to Natchitoches, LA (the historic town where Steel Magnolias is set and was made). We stayed in a B&B and had a wonderful time celebrating our 15th anniversary. I'll tell you what, I ate while we were gone. I didn't eat near as much as I used to would have, but I didn't restrict too awfully much either. I went easy on lunch Friday (1/2 chicken salad sandwich w/ pickle and some chips & Diet Coke) but for dinner I had Crab Cakes w/lobster sauce, creamed spinach and another Diet Coke and then I had Louisiana's famous bread pudding for dessert. BUT I only had half portion of each thing and left the rest on my plate. So see, it could have been way worse. For breakfast at the B&B on Saturday morning, I had a yummy yogurt parfait (ate the whole thing) blueberry pancake bake (ate 1/2) and sausage links (ate 2 of the 4). So I still scaled back on everything but the yogurt. Then we came home on Saturday and I did well the rest of the day foodwise. Sunday was Mother's day and my hubby's mom, dad and sis were here still from watchiing the kids during our getaway. I did great for breakfast and lunch and then we went to Olive Garden for supper. I didn't get the healthy apricot chicken this time. I got chicken parm and I ate about 1/2 of it. I ate the salad and 1 1/2 breadsticks. Ok, I've come clean. The good news is that I only gained .5 pounds and hopefully that's just water weight. I'm not feeling guilty about my weekend. I'm not just losing weight, I'm living my life. I've gotten right back on board today with no difficulty. I'm aiming to come in at 1200 cals today and boy did I exercise! I did 4.5 miles on the TM; upper body weights; 2 sets of 30 jump ropes and 50 jumping jacks. Tomorrow I'm getting right back to my normal plan of my usual exercise and 1400-1500 cals. So, I hope you all had a great Mother's Day! I'm back and right back in the saddle. p.s. JDonato, I thought of you Friday as we were in Natchitoches because it was LA Northwestern State Univ. graduation and the town was a madhouse! I saw all the cute college grad girls out celebrating with their families dressed in their cute clothes and could just picture you in your awesome dress and shoes!! |
Hey guys...
Just checking in after being gone last week. Made it home safely from Texas and would you believe I ran into SNOW on my last 80 miles?! Only in MN. I think lately I have the angel of death following me...on our way down to TX, my grandpa calls to tell my mom that one of her old friends passed away. So my poor mom is dealing with losing her sister and her friend all within the span of a few days. On my way home I saw an accident due to the snow. Turns out an ambulance flipped over the guard rail. I come to find out later they were transporting a patient from the town I work in to a larger hospital...unfortunately, he didn't survive. Then I get an instant alert phone call from work on Saturday informing me that one of the teachers in my school district passed. And if THAT wasn't enough, on Sunday my husband's grandma passed. So my poor mother in law watched her mom die on mother's day. Now we have ANOTHER funeral to go to next weekend. Man, I am so done with death and dying for a while! Anyway...sorry to be so morbid! I took a break from CC last week due to traveling. Was going to weigh in this weekend to see what the damage was, but then I got TOM, so I'm just going to wait until Friday. I will be happy if I'm still the same weight from 2 weeks prior. Trying to really get back OP this week and start exercising again too. I miss my yoga! I never realized how much it helps my back from getting sore. Anyway, I hope to catch up with you guys soon...hope everyone is doing well! |
I'm up to 109.6 lbs. from yesterdays over eating. I'm hoping I can lose this water weight as fast as I did before. At this point I have 4lbs to lose for the challenge. Hope you all are doing well!
|
