Your right, it is Monday morning here. Blah! Getting off to a rough start at work. I hit carb overload for breakfast and had a blueberry muffin instead of my special k cereal. Oh well, keeping everything in my counts so its ok. Hope everyone else is doing well. My countdown is on now...only 37 days to the USA!! Woohoo!!! |

Hi everyone ... I decided to hop on board with you ladies four days ago, and to my amazement, I've managed to stay on program for 4 days (1800 cals. or less.) Wasn't sure I still had it in me ... :o

Good Monday morning ladies!
Congrats on the loss, MKyice! That's a great accomplishment- keep it up! How's Japan? Baben- Yay for keeping on track! Shan- At least carbs in the morning will give you the energy to buzz around! Mm, blueberry muffin sounds good right now! And really, not a bad choice- we all need a little variety, right? Jiggle- Your daughter is in my thoughts. And congrats on the good day- I know I couldn't walk around that long in that hot weather. I start sweating like crazy when it's mid-70's! KDM- Woo for being on plan! Fruitlady- It'll come- you've done fantastic so far, just keep pushing! Eek! Last night I went to Friendly's for work. I had a Buffalo Chicken wrap- which I didn't know until I got home that the portion I ate was 590 calories!!! AHH! If I had eaten the whole thing- which I never would, even before the weight loss journey- it would have been over 1100 calories! Almost an entire days meal. I only had about 5 fries. I topped it off with an 80 calorie fat free frozen yogurt- much to my co-workers dismay. She was trying to get me to have a lava cake sundae. NO WAY! And I wasn't even tempted- woohoo! I only ended up going about 150 calories over- but it was break day from my exercise program. Hopefully I burned the calories off being a busy bee- but I'm not stepping on the scale until Wednesday or may wait until Friday. I haven't exercised yet today- I already had my breakfast (100 cal vita-top) and I never eat before exercising, but I was so hungry. I'll have my coffee and AM snack after I work out. Okay, off the computer...time to burn it up! |
Well we're home today with the baby. I spoke with the nurse and was told to feed her a bland diet with gatorade or water. She is playing so that's a good sign. If she isn't better by morning I have to take her to the dr for him to check her. I'm planning on a great on plan day. I've had a 120 calorie breakfast and waiting on her to take a nap so I can do my workout.

I hope your little one feels better soon Jiggle. I can't stand it when my son is sick! pedialyte makes these awesome freezer pops. with the heat, I'm sure she'd love them :)

hey everyone, quick note from me today. I had a really busy weekend, didn't do as well as planned, but i'm not going to focus on that. I didn't get all the exercise in that I needed, so I'm starting fresh today. I'm at work however and it's really busy, but I just wanted to check in and say hi!

HI ladies! Ok so no proposal at the party, which I already knew he wasn't going to. He kept stressing through the week and his family that he was really proud of me graduating and he really wanted the party to be about that and not take anything away from that. Which it seemed his family understood...sooo...i have no idea when now! lol Though yes it would have been nice to tell everyone at the party. He knows that I don't want to be proposed to infront of ppl. I like things private and intimate. Thanks so much for all your love and support guys! So let's hope i have good news soon!

Well, I'm not back to my lowest, but I'm atleast back to where I was 2 Monday's ago...171.8...I was very excited to say the least! lol The water weight from my WV excursion is gone! I MIGHT actually get to report a loss for this challenge! haha TOM is still here but should be gone w/in a day or 2...so I may hit a new low by the end of the week...we shall see!!!

I was all to try 30DS again this morning. Put it in the DVD player just to be thwarted by having no remote. The player had no way to select the next option since it starts out on Recommendations. After searching for 15 minutes I gave up and just got on the treadmill.
Which leads me to my next conundrum. How much stock do you put in sweating? With the 30 minute WATP, I don't sweat 1/4 as much as I do on the treadmill in 30 minutes of just walking. |

I'm about to do my day 10 of level 1 - 30DS! I was planning to do level one till I could just breeze through it, but that's still not happening. Plus I'm getting bored doing the same thing. So I'm going to do level 2 for 5 days, then probably do level 3 for 10 days and then back to level one for 5 more days and see if I breeze through it by then! NSV's!!! I tried on the dress I wore to one of my wedding showers (15 years ago, yes I kept it) and it almost fits! It goes on just fine and zips up to my waist, it's through my ribs and boobs it's still too tight and on my left arm (I know, weird). It's a 1995 size 12!! Then I tried on the shirt I wore on mine and hubby's first date 1995 size Medium and IT FITS!!! I could wear it tonight if it weren't hideously out of fashion LOL! I tried on the bathing suit I wore on my honeymoon and it fits, but wowzie, I couldn't wear it out in public. My girlies are wayyyyyy saggier than they were back then!! I think the Lycra deteriorated too, because the bootie is saggy. But that was great motivation to see that it fit! All this nostalgic clothes trying on came about because I was looking at the wedding picture on my dresser and my face looks just like it did then, just add a bunch more lines around the eyes! My body will never be the same as it was when I was 26 years old, but I'd rather be skinnier and less firm than be size 20 and firmish - ya know?! Note to you younger ladies, be glad you're getting ahold of this now, and please don't go back and wait till you're 40 to get yourself back together because things don't go back into the right place! 15 years of fat arms and thighs and belly get squishy after losing weight. I don't know if it'll ever get back to where I'd be totally happy. Ok, off to shred. |
Jiggle, I hope your baby girl feels better. Is she cutting molars? My bubbie has been having terrible stools and I totally believe it's from the molars! He's also getting a bad rash with it.

How is everyone else doing this Monday? Can't believe we only have a week to go! I have about 3 lbs to lose to meet my challenge goal. Not sure if I'll be able to do it as I will be out of town for a girls' getaway this Memorial Day weekend. I will consider it a victory if I don't gain between Friday and Monday, so I guess my WI on Friday will most likely be as close as I'm going to get. Well, off to do my workout. Hello everyone, hope you all are doing great! I finally had a woosh, I went from 111.0 to 107.7 overnight. How that happened, I'll never know. I'm sticking to it now til I get to 105lbs. Alot of sugarless gum has pulled me through alot of cravings. Had 1130 cal. today and went for my 40 min wogging session in the park. I'm not even hungry!

So we have alot of food leftover from the party and not gonna lie, i had a fat day today. Which is alright but still I have no idea how not to waste the food and get through the week. I have to get back on track, or I'll just start pigging out cuz the stress is over. I guess I have to start exercising more now, I did alot of it while working on the house. so this week I"m studying for my CLEP test...90min...$100...to get out of one stupid class then my diploma is in my hands. I graduated but inorder to receive that paper I have to get this one credit, so I opted to take a CLEP test for American Government which is the hardest one! gaaaahhh. So I take it next tuesday. I found a great website with video that goes over each topic. 15 videos 30min each...here I go! I'm feeling lost and don't know what to do with my life now besides work and come home and do what?....the bf is playing video games. Hope everyone had a great day, and even better one tomorrow! |

Today was my WI...157.6...down another lb. I dont think I will make 154 by the end of the challenge but, I will be pretty close! I think I would have lost more if I would have been more persistent with my workouts. DH will be home in 4 days....Im SO excited. Of course I waited till the last minute to get the house in order, so Im going to be VERY busy this week. I moved into this house after DH deployed. He's only seen the before pictures, since then Ive repainted all the rooms, I ripped out the carpet and laid tile down. I hope he likes it. Jdonato I wouldnt have wanted to be proposed to in front of a crowd either. I bet your so anxious. Jiggle I hope your baby gets better soon. Lori I think you look AWESOME!!! But your ultimate goal is totally up to you. When you get there you will know if your comfortable or not. |
Shylah--that totally sucks about the remote...i've always wanted to invent something that would locate the remote like they have on cordless phones...like a button on the DVD player you could push and then the remote would beep so you could try to find it! good luck finding it! and good job still getting a WO in even tho 30DS was a no go!
susie--congrats on completing L1! good luck w/L2, but don't let it scare you! L3 is better than L2, IMO :) and that's awesome about your old clothes fitting!! and thanks for the advice for us youngens! northern--My Monday was good! I stayed busy and came in way under my 1227...I know this isn't healthy to do every day, but I don't think a day here or there with 900cals will hurt anyone! :) I ate dinner at 930 so it's not like I can make up the remaining cals...will try to come closer to 1227 tomorrow! when I'm off work, I guess I'm not stressed or just able to keep my mind off of eating, so i usually have Low Cal days when i'm off :D Hope everyone had a great day!!! |
Sounds like everyone is hanging in there and pushing hard for this last week. Me too! I'm going back to the gym today after being away for 3 weeks because of the knee injury and pneamonia.
**I have the job interview today (in like 3 hours) for the international school for August/September start. Super nervous. First in person interview I have done in the past few years. Sorry to be posting again, but I just uploaded my pics from my visit home to WV and cropped one of me in my Size 12 dress!! I'm sure I posted about it when I bought it (probably in the Arbor Day thread)...I was so excited when I bought it!! Well, I wore it to my brother's wedding last Saturday...PLEASE ignore the shoes...I didn't know how bad they looked til I saw the pics, but they were all I had...shopped around forever & couldn't find anything else!!! I got plenty of exercise today! I did the wii fit this morning and then did some push-ups and started doing sit-ups, when there was a knock at my door. A neighbor said hey wanna go for a walk, I said sure, why not, I'm already in my pt gear. So we walked from our base to a local beach (just over 3 miles away) and then walked back home. So I walked over 6miles on top of my normal exercise! I unfortunately didn't throw on some sunblock before heading out the door, so my face, neck and tops of my ears are sun-burned (not too bad, but I will definitely have to stay out of the sun for a few days).

Started off well...woke up early and went right into my routine. I'm now munching on my Kashi cereal with coffee and water. I have a staff meeting later this morning...and it's my manager's birthday. One woman is bringing in muffins and another one bagel twists from Dunkin' Donuts. How can I resist?! I looked up the calories for the bagel twists, thinking I would just have one as my mid-morning snack, but they're 400 calories!! That's a little less than 2 meals worth right there! So, I'll just have to decline. Or politely except and take it home to give to someone else, haha. Another negative thing... I'll be working at a house that isn't terribly active tonight. And it will be hot. I'm also not used to working at this house and don't know the routine very well. And they don't eat as healthily as the house I normally work at. Oookay, I can make it through though! Maybe I'll pick up some salad for myself before I head into work tonight. Glad to hear everyone is doing well- keep pushing!! Jiggle- How's the little one? |

My baby girl is doing better today so far. I feeling good today. I was on plan yesterday. I will be waiting on the baby to take her nap to do my workout because she sticks to me like glue. Just had breakfast.
Shan - :congrat:Glad you got the job. What age will you be teaching? Corinne - She's doing better today, thanks for asking...I think it's more being needy than not feeling well today. How did you fare with the doughnuts? I can tell you it's a great feeling to say no. My director was bring cookies everyday for about two weeks. I was upset the first day but I moved past it and it was no problem. KDM - OOOO You look so good. I like to see you all post the where I am now pictures. It makes me more motivated to get to my goal. Sugar - You are doing big things. Pulling up carpet and laying tile. Go head girl. How long is he going to be home? I'm praying for his safe return. Susie - She has her molars. The dr said it's a stomach virus. Yesterday she only ate a banana and a couple crackers. So today we are introducing foods slowly to make sure her tummy can handle it. So far so good. Okay I have a couple NSVs. Maybe they all equal one...anywho. I can see my collar bone peeking through when I'm getting dressed. I was putting on my lotion yesterday and could feel my ribs. And there are really hip bones under there. No really, I can feel them when I lay on my side. Yep...there are bones under there...can't wait to SEE them all. Talk about motivation!!! |
Hope everyone is having a good day so far!! I'm feeling great and motivated to stay OP the entire rest of the challenge!! I'm going to try and get as close to goal as I can. I don't think I'm going to make it. I have 6 pounds left and only 6 days. that would be a MIRACLE if I made it! I need to get back on track with my 30DS. I have to be honest, I haven't done it since last Thursday!!!! eek!!!!! I have done other cardio, but my goal to make it every day for 30 days is shot. I guess I can always just start over today.
jdon: great to hear that the party went well!!! :) I'm sure you will be engaged in no time, how exciting!!!! You gotta post pics of the ring too!!!!! :) So happy for you! it's alright to have fat days every once in a while especially when it's around a time of celebration! I always remind myself that eating healthy and working out is a lifestyle change, NOT A DIET, that i'm on so if I feel like treating myself one day, there is nothing wrong with that! :) KDM: I'm with ya on that we gotta kick butt, only 6 days left!!!! These challenge fly by soo fast! I've had days too where i've only been around 900-1000 calories at the end of dinner and am simply full so I just drink water. I agree I don't think it hurts, I mean as long as we're not doing it everyday. I too get burnt super easily...I've been tanning for this month in preparation for our beach trip in June...if I don't, I'll get burnt wearing 50SPF! haha even with pre-tanning, i'll still wear 50SPF and reapply every 4-5hrs AND still be red at the end of the day! hahaha Just not crispy to where I can't go outside the next day! LoL corinne--GOOD LUCK with the last 2lbs!! And hope you did well saying NO to those temptations! It's always really hard for me to say no...I usually give in and just count the calories...then reduce somewhere else...or just go over my daily limit that one day! LoL HOW DID YOU DO?? Oh, I almost forgot, I guess I also have a sort-of NSV...it's a weird one, but it's a FIRST for me! So, I've talked before how "cheap" I am and will always buy clearance/off brand when possible...well, we're going to the beach w/DH's family in June...will be gone a total of 9 days...and we've talked about only packing a carry-on so we don't have to pay the "Checked Baggage Fee" (yes, it's only $23 at United and SW is free, but still, it's $23! LOL) SOOO, last night I did a "practice-run" (I'M A DORK, I KNOW!) and guess what!?!?! I FIT EVERYTHING FOR 9 DAYS INTO MY ROLLING CARRY-ON SUITCASE!!! This included 3 capris, 5 shorts, 9-10 tops (a girl's gotta have choices! LOL),2 bathing suits, 2 b. suit cover-up dresses, AND 3prs of sandals!!! The only thing I didn't gather was the bathroom supplies, but I'll only have to take my makeup, toothbrush, hairbrush, etc. because the MIL is going to get the liquids (shampoo/cond/lotion/sunblock) so we don't have to worry about the airport check point crap! SO YAY!! I'm contributing some of this success to my smaller size clothing! Sz. 12 compared to 18 and Sz. L compared to XL & XXL....WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! DH couldn't believe it either! He was very impressed! LoL Sorry for the novel...sometimes I just start rambling! haha Hope you all have a great OP Tuesday...I'm off to do 30DS! |

I'm feeling so good got my workout in and it was great. My daughter had a little set back but that was my fault. I introduced juice too soon. I'm going to go to work tomorrow and tell the daycare to call me if they need me to come pick her up. I think she should be okay. She did well at dinner eating her rice, crackers and gatorade. But this has been my day. KDM - Great packing!! I think that your smaller size helps a lot you can fold them into smaller items. Farn - Do what you can do. No matter how close you are to your goal you are at least moving in the right direction. So we are a week away and we are still doing the thing. So lets push past any obstacles that arise and end strong!! |

Im doing good calorie wise. I did have a little "aha" moment today though. I DONT have a sweet tooth at all but I bought a couple of those little skinny cow icecream cartons, they only have 150 cals. I hadnt eaten one, and today when I was ready for a snack I decided I would try one. It was too sweet and not what I wanted at all but I ate it anyways. THEN, since it didnt satisfy my snack craving, I had a 100 calorie bag of popcorn. I should have just had the popcorn to begin with. Both items fit into my calorie budget so Im ok, but I really need to listen to what my body wants and not just eat it because its low in cals. KDM DH has been gone 7 months. He's in the airforce, so his deployments arent as long as other military branches. This was our 1st deployment though, and our first time apart so it feels like he's been gone for centuries lol. You look GREAT in your dress, its very cute, and I dont think the shoes look that bad. Shan Congrats on the job!!!! Jiggle DH should be home for good, or until his next deployment. We're hoping that wont happen anytime soon or at all lol. He's been in 4 years and this is the 1st time theyve sent him anywhere so we're hoping he will be home for quite awhile. He has 2 weeks R&R and he requested 2 weeks leave so he will be home for a whole month before he has to go back to work. It should be fun :) Congrats on the NSV!!! I remember the 1st time I saw my collar bones AND the 1st time I was able to move my belt one whole smaller. I hope your little one has a good day at daycare tomorrow :) |

Sugar - I'm so happy your DH will be home soon. How exciting! I just got done doing 30DS. I felt guilty I didn't get my treadmill in this morning, so I was going to do that. DH decided to hook up our spare DVD player so I could select my work out, so I decided to try 30 DS. My shoulder did really well! The only part I had a hard time with was the crunches, I couldn't make my arm bend to the ground that way. Oh, and I hate that when I jump my belly fat flaps. :( Must wear tighter undies tomorrow. |
Sugar ~ I know you will be glad to have your husband home. Mine is in the Navy and while none of his deployments at this command are long, there are a lot of them, so he is gone more often than not. Enjoy the leave time!
Shan~ congrats on the job! It sounds like everyone is doing well today. I can't believe this challenge is almost over. I can't remember exactly what my goal was. I know about where I set it, but I'll have to go back and check to be sure. Thanks for the well wishes on my sunburn. It is bad, but it is only in a few little spots, the little area of skin from my neck to where the neckline of my t-shirt started and then my left arm between the bottom of my sleeve and my elbow and my nose and cheeks. I didn't think I was going to be outside for as long as I was or I would have put sunblock on because I burn fairly easily. I just hope it is all gone before the weekend. My husband will be home again and I don't want to be stuck hiding out from the sun! |

I wore some supporting undies today, my tummy still jiggles a bit, but I don't hear it flap anymore :p |
