Ugh. Had the stomach flu this week (will spare you the details!) Needless to say I didn't eat much, but what I did consume was all empty calories (7-up and saltines was about all I could stomach for 2 days.) Today was the first day I exercised in 5 days! Am feeling better now though :)

Weighing in tomorrow, will see what kind of effect this had on my weight. still hoping to start April in the 230's!

Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days. I've been OP, just super busy - what's new, huh? I am ending the day at 1569 cals today and did 2.5 miles on the TM today. TOM decided to arrive today a couple days earlier than expected, but I guess that's ok, the sooner it'll be gone. I think I'm just going to skip my weigh in this Friday, though. Thinking I'll do it Monday morning instead, but that means I have to be really, really careful on Easter! I'll be doing my measurements again on Monday for the month.

Speaking of Easter, I've mentioned that my family has no idea I've been losing weight. I haven't seen them since New Years and we'll be going Saturday to celebrate Easter. I'm a bit nervous for a couple reasons. #1 what if they don't even notice? #2 my sister is overweight and I'm afraid instead of motivating her, it's going to depress her.

Well, I need to go get my daughter ready for bed. I'll write more later.

Northern: I'm glad you're feeling better! I hope you see those 230's in the morning too.

Lori: I hope you got that door in so you can sit at the computer more!

Uggghh weighed in today. I gained .8 lbs. :( I cheated a lot this week and didn't count my cals so gotta really work hard next week

Hey guys...just popping in for a quick check in! I got a call tuesday from a temporary service for a two day job that starts today( been a stay at home mom for a very long time now) so anyways, it should be an easy job-answering phones at a local construction company office. I work today and tomorrow, 8-5. kinda excited to earn some extra money;)

My eating was great tuesday, yesterday..not so much. I did some stress eating...i plan on packing my lunch today and getting back on track. I won't weigh in agian until sunday morning..

Hi Everyone~~
Down another pound which makes it 2.5 lbs toward my 10 pound goal for this challenge. Easter will be a big challenge..going out to this incredible brunch so I'll have to plan accordingly. It finally stopped raining here, so hopefully I'll get my motivation back to work out, it's funny how the sun coming out can change your whole attitude toward everything!!
Wish I could give a shout out to everyone here, but I'm at work, so I'm sneaking my posts in...:D

We have exactly 30 days til goal and we are doing it. I want to see everyone posting their progress this month...which means you will be making progress.

It's Easter weekend and I will be having the family over for dinner. Everyone is bringing a dish and I set the menu. We are having a Roaster Chicken, Ham, Collards, Green Beans, Baked Yams, Mac and Cheese and Broccoli. I don't really care for ham or mac and cheese. My cousin like to bake cakes but I told her NO CAKES, NO PIES or COOKIES. If I can restrain myself at Maggiano's this will be easy. I'm doing all protein and veggies for the day. I usually go try on clothes on Saturday and Sunday but too many people will be out shopping and I don't want to deal with all the extras.

Another OP day yesterday! I'm only 1.2 lbs away from my goal for the challenge and I'm happy to take it slow and one day at a time. I've never been able to maintain my weight this long. I don't know if I've already said this but this past February was my two year anniversary for losing and keeping off the first 20lbs, and this July will by my 1 year anniversary of losing and keeping of the last 20lbs. I am fighting so hard for everything in my life, my degree, weight...

I hope everyone has a great day! I need to get ready for my study group.

To exercise 3 to 4 days a week.


To take my prescribed med as directed before each meal.


To do my very best each meal and snack to eat healthy and count calories.


my goal is to lose 10 pounds but i'd settle for 5.

Hey, this is a great idea. My goals are to lose 5 pounds and get to the gym twice a week for weight training. I'm excited to see how I do.

Good morning!

Jigglefree-sounds like a good ol' Easter time with your family. Here, it will be just Robert & I. I think we are having broccoli/barley "risotto" (from one of the chicks on here), chinese 5-spice shrimp, and maybe a salad. Nothing fancy, just a good meal that is OP. I keep changing what it's gonna be, but I think we have it down, now.

jdonato-good work o0n getting so close to your challenge goal already! I'm worried this week becuase the weather has been crappy and I'm about walked out for now. It's snowing and I can't ride my bicycle...AGAIN. Today will have to be a rest day.

OFS-looks like you are moving along. Don't settle for 5...go for 10! Yaaay! You can do it!

ricepapr-glad to have you aboard. Keep up the good work and stick to your plan...and you will be a challenge superstar!

I have to go to walmart today and buy more spinach. I sure do eat a l lot of that stuff! I think even though it is a day off, I'll try to walk around the inside perimeter of the store while I'm there. I should look for a pedometer and see how much I walk every day. I wonder where they keep them...hmmm...now I have a puzzle to solve. Dinner tonight is baked chicken coated with fiber one cereal crumbs/panko crumbs, spices and orange zest. Baked potato and pkgd chicken gravy. No butter on the taters, but the gravy is ony 50 cals. for 1/ a pkg prepared. Tons of salt I'm sure, but a girl's gotta have something on that tater. I might get some yogurt at walamrt and have that instead.

Very quick post - still sick, now the earache is the worst part. Goes with the strep throat. No workout yesterday or today - I'm just too run down. But eating is doing OK, and I'm drinking a ton of water so that should help. Just so tired and dragging... hopefully by the weekend, I'll be back on course because I miss my workouts!

Enjoy the holiday. you should not worry about your sister becoming depressed for your weight loss. I do not think that it will be depressing if you do not talk too much about it. My sister lost a lot of weight and I feel happy for her. I think that it may be depressing if the person losing weight is self centered and remarking her success losing weight.

I decided to add one pound more to my Arbor Day challenge because in that way I will also become overweight and no longer obese on the BMI standards.

Well, I did it! Started April in the 230's, have now lost 35 lbs and am 1/4 of the way to my final goal! I will have to call my first 3 months a success :)

I lost almost exactly 10 lbs from March 1 to April 1. A bit slower than my first two months, but I will take it. 9 more lbs to challenge goal...should be do-able. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll see the 220's by the end of the month!

Am heading out of town for the long weekend. Have a great Easter, everyone!

aluxa- yeh, I'm so sick of rain, glad it's over for now. It was a lovely day today, I made sure I took my walk.


As for me, I gained a pound from yesterday, I don't know why. I have been doing good w/ my calories for a couple days now. I was so discouraged and angry! I feel so weight down right now, not light and energetic like I do when I weigh less. I just don't get it. I had a tooth pulled today, half my mouth was numb for 6 hrs. so I only had 970 cal. today. It was almost impossible to eat and I couldn't taste anything anyway. I have a feeling my weight will drop tomorrow. A big woosh I hope!
